How to Run a 24/7 YouTube Stream of Kannada Devotional Songs from Recordings

You can run Kannada devotional recordings as a continuous YouTube livestream by first clearing the rights to both the songs and the specific recordings, then creating a YouTube live event and feeding it from an encoder. The rights check comes first: devotional subject matter, a purchased copy, or a recording found online does not by itself permit rebroadcast. If you need the channel live around the clock, plan for recovery and monitoring—and do not assume YouTube will save a 24-hour replay.

Clear rights to the songs and recordings before streaming

YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions place responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights for live use, including music rights involving artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. Permission requirements can depend on territory and intended use.

Check rights in both the underlying composition and the particular sound recording. These may involve different rights holders or administrators; there is no single ownership chain that can be assumed for every Kannada song. Obtain written permission for the exact recordings and the intended continuous public livestream. If you want to keep replays or monetize the stream, confirm that those uses are included too.

Make a recording-by-recording clearance list

  • Record each song title and the exact recording you plan to use.
  • Identify the performer, label, publisher or composition administrator where possible.
  • Confirm permission for livestreaming, replay/archive, monetization if intended, territory, duration, attribution, looping and combining tracks.
  • Keep permission documents and rights-holder contact details accessible while the stream is running.

A purchase, a “free download” label, or the fact that a song is traditional or devotional does not establish permission to rebroadcast that recording. YouTube’s Creator Music FAQ also says Creator Music does not support licensing for live content, so it is not a substitute for livestream permissions.

Prepare for Content ID interruptions

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects material, it can replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; if the material remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the broadcast. This can happen even when you believe the material is licensed.

If a rights holder has licensed the recordings to you, ask whether they need to add your channel to their Content ID allowlist before you go live. A license and an allowlist are separate practical issues: permission covers your use, while allowlisting can help prevent an automated match from interrupting the stream. Monitor YouTube Studio for copyright warnings and follow its instructions if a match appears.

Choose a 24/7 operating pattern with the archive limit in mind

YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. See its live-stream archive guidance. Keep a local recording if preserving the programming matters.

Repeated sessions shorter than 12 hours Separate saved replays are important YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; maintain a local backup too. Plan restarts. They may create breaks, and YouTube’s guidance does not guarantee a seamless handoff.
One continuous 24/7 feed A continuously available live destination is the priority A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Requires monitoring and a recovery plan; archive retention is uncertain.

These are different operating choices, not a guarantee that either approach will produce uninterrupted viewing or reliable archives. Decide whether continuity or individual replay files matter more, then test the restart and recording process before announcing the stream.

Set up the YouTube livestream and encoder

YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes the core sequence: create or schedule a stream in YouTube Studio, put its stream URL and key into an encoder, start the encoder feed, then confirm the preview and live state in YouTube’s controls. Specific encoder software and settings are not prescribed here.

  1. Complete channel live-stream setup early. A first-time live setup may take up to 24 hours to activate, according to YouTube’s encoder guide. Do not leave first-time activation until the planned launch.
  2. Prepare the playlist and visuals. Assemble the cleared recordings in the intended order and use a still image, slideshow or other visual you have rights to use. Check audio transitions, volume consistency and that the playlist behaves as intended when it reaches the end.
  3. Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and open the encoder connection details. Copy the stream URL and stream key.
  4. Enter the connection details in your encoder. Use the encoder’s fields for the YouTube stream URL and key. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or include it in screenshots or public instructions.
  5. Start the encoder and inspect YouTube Studio. Confirm that YouTube receives the feed, check the preview, verify audio and visuals, and use YouTube’s live controls to confirm the stream is live.
  6. Run a practical test before launch. Test playlist order, the visual loop, audio continuity, encoder reconnect behavior, network and power recovery, monitoring coverage and the restart procedure. These are operational checks to perform; they are not uptime guarantees from YouTube.

A hardware video encoder is optional. YouTube’s setup guidance mentions hardware encoders as one possible component of an advanced setup, not a requirement. Assess your existing computer, video complexity, connectivity, budget and ability to keep the equipment available before buying hardware.

Operate the feed and respond to problems

  • Watch the live controls. Monitor YouTube Studio for stream health, copyright warnings and termination notices.
  • If a licensed track triggers a match, contact the relevant rights holder about allowlisting and follow YouTube’s on-screen instructions. Do not assume that a license alone prevents an automated interruption.
  • If a session ends, follow the restart plan you tested. For shorter archived sessions, schedule the next event and allow for the possibility of a viewing break.
  • After a stream, check any available archive and review it for Content ID claims. Keep a local recording if you need a dependable copy.

Or let it run in the cloud

Set it up in three steps: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos; it does not stream from a camera.
