You can run a 24/7 Bollywood instrumental radio stream on YouTube by sending a continuous audio-and-video feed from an encoder such as OBS, or by using a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. Before you set up either option, clear the rights to both the music and visuals for live streaming, the countries you intend to reach, and any replay archive. Instrumental arrangements are not automatically copyright-free: removing vocals does not clear the recording or the underlying composition.
Clear the music and visuals before you go live
For a Bollywood instrumental stream, permissions may involve both the specific sound recording and the underlying composition. YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions put responsibility on the provider to have the rights needed to use live content worldwide, including applicable music rights from artists, labels, publishers and other royalty participants. Rights and licensing duties can vary by territory and catalog; get qualified advice for the places where you plan to stream if you are unsure.

Build an inventory for every track and every visual asset. Keep the relevant agreements and correspondence, and check that the permission explicitly covers your intended use rather than assuming a purchase or attribution is enough.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches- Identify the recording and composition, their owners or licensing contacts, and where each asset came from.
- Confirm the permitted territories, live-stream use, duration, and whether monetization is allowed.
- Ask whether the channel needs to be added to a rights holder’s Content ID allowlist.
- Check whether the permission covers a YouTube replay or other archive of the stream, not just the live broadcast.
If you commission instrumental arrangements, put the rights in writing. The agreement should cover the recording and composition rights you need, the intended live stream, and any replay. “Royalty-free,” a receipt, or an instrumental-only arrangement is not, by itself, proof that every relevant right is cleared.

Why a licensed track can still trigger a live interruption
YouTube says live streams are scanned for third-party matches, including copyrighted content in another live broadcast. If YouTube detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder; if the material remains, it may interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube advises creators with licensed third-party content to ask the owner to add their channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license does not guarantee that automated matching will leave the stream uninterrupted. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
Set up a continuous YouTube live feed
A YouTube live broadcast is the event viewers watch; the stream is the media feed sent to that event. Google’s YouTube Live Streaming API overview describes that distinction. For a local setup, an encoder such as OBS sends your audio and video to YouTube. You need a video feed as well as music, so prepare a visual loop or other video content that you are authorized to use.

- Enable live streaming and open YouTube Studio’s live workflow. Verify the channel can stream before planning a launch. Follow the current Studio workflow to create or schedule the broadcast; labels and screen layout can change.
- Create the broadcast and its incoming stream. Use YouTube’s live control room to configure the event and obtain the stream connection details. YouTube treats the event and the media feed as separate parts of the workflow.
- Configure OBS as the encoder. Add the authorized video source and audio playlist, then connect OBS to the YouTube stream using the stream details from the live control room. OBS documents encoder choices and hardware-encoding considerations in its help center.
- Use the settings YouTube gives your stream. Match the encoder’s output format, resolution, bitrate and keyframe interval to the current recommendations displayed for your YouTube stream and the capabilities of your connection and machine. The available evidence here does not establish one bitrate or resolution that suits every setup, so do not treat a single number as universal. Test the chosen settings before relying on them continuously.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the stream. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder or service using it.
- Start the encoder and check YouTube’s live control room. Confirm that the feed arrives, the expected video and audio are present, and YouTube reports a healthy connection before leaving the stream unattended.
Test the loop before you leave it running
- Verify the playlist advances and returns to the beginning as intended, with no silent gap or unintended stop between items.
- Listen for sudden volume changes, clipping, missing audio, or abrupt transitions.
- Check that the visual source remains active and does not expose content you do not have permission to use.
- Keep the live control room available so you can see connection status and copyright warnings.
- Have a way to pause the stream or replace a flagged track promptly.
Choose between a local encoder and a cloud stream
Both approaches still require the same music and visual permissions. The difference is where the continuous playback and connection to YouTube are maintained.

Monitor the stream and handle common problems
- YouTube shows a copyright warning or replaces the feed: Check the live control room and identify the matching material. Pause or replace it if needed, then contact the rights holder about the license and Content ID allowlisting. Do not assume that the absence of a warning before launch means a track is cleared.
- The stream disconnects: Check the encoder’s status, the computer’s power and the upload connection. A local setup requires you to restore the feed; if you use a hosted service, consult its current recovery and support instructions.
- The video arrives but audio does not: Check the OBS audio source and meters, the selected input, and whether the playlist is still playing. Confirm audio in YouTube’s live control room before leaving the stream.
- The stream looks unstable or drops frames: Compare the encoder output settings with YouTube’s current recommendations and check whether the computer and upload connection can sustain them. Test a lower output setting if the current configuration is not stable.
- A replay receives a claim after the broadcast: Review the claim and the relevant agreement. Confirm that the license covers archived playback as well as live use before keeping or enabling the archive.
- The stream key may have been exposed: Replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder or hosted service with the new key.
Plan for archives and monetization separately
If you keep a replay, check that your rights cover the archive as well as the live performance. YouTube notes that archived live streams can receive Content ID claims after the event; its live copyright guidance covers this distinction.
Rights clearance and YouTube Partner Program eligibility are separate questions. YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams and address inauthentic content, including repetitive or mass-produced material. The policy also assesses reused content separately from copyright. Distinctive curation, original artwork or animation, useful track information and meaningful variety can give a channel more editorial character, but none guarantees monetization approval or revenue.

YouTube’s Going live for music channels page reports that over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025. That is a platform-wide figure, not an estimate of the audience for a Bollywood instrumental radio stream or a prediction for a particular channel.
Why Creator Music does not clear this format
YouTube’s Creator Music FAQ says Creator Music does not support licensing for live content. Its eligible track and video licensing options therefore should not be treated as permission for continuous live radio use.
