Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →You can run a continuous Radha Krishna bhajan stream on YouTube with an encoder or a cloud streaming service, but reliable playback depends on more than looping audio: verify live access, test the stream and its recovery plan, and clear the rights to every recording and visual for live and archived use. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and a rights claim can interrupt the broadcast.
What you need before starting
- A verified YouTube channel with no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Check YouTube Help for current age and account conditions before launch: YouTube live streaming access.
- A continuous program made from recordings and visuals you are permitted to use in a livestream, in the territories where it will be available. Keep written records of the permissions and their scope.
- A way to send the program to YouTube, plus a person or process to respond if the stream stops. A single computer and internet connection are not an uninterrupted-service guarantee.
- A test and monitoring plan, including a local archive if you need a copy of the broadcast.
YouTube supports encoder software, and says expensive equipment is not required to begin. Dedicated hardware is optional: it may suit a more complex production, but should be chosen for a concrete need such as connected production equipment or a specific reliability plan—not simply because a channel is devotional.

Choose how to keep the stream running
Software or hardware encoder
An encoder sends your program to YouTube. YouTube describes encoder workflows as useful for overlays and setups involving preamps, microphones, or cameras. Software can handle an encoder workflow; dedicated hardware is another option for production needs that justify it. You are responsible for the running machine, its power and network connection, and recovery when something fails.

For a pre-recorded program that should continue when your own computer is off, StreamNeo runs the YouTube stream from the cloud. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera. See StreamNeo for service details.

Prepare the bhajan program and clear its rights
Confirm permissions for every recording and visual
YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the creator to have the necessary rights for live content, including music rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. A recording being devotional, widely shared, or available online does not establish that you can rebroadcast it. Check the permissions for each bhajan recording, image, video, and other element, including the territories covered and whether the permission covers a live stream and its archive.
If you use licensed third-party recordings, ask the rights owner whether the permission covers continuous livestream use, the resulting archive, your intended territories, and Content ID allowlisting. Keep the written terms accessible to whoever operates the channel.

Do not assume a stream license settles monetization
Copyright clearance and YouTube Partner Program (YPP) eligibility are separate questions. YouTube’s monetization policy applies to livestreams and assesses originality and authentic value at the channel level, including repetitious or inauthentic and reused content. Permission to use another artist’s recording does not itself establish that a minimally changed loop or compilation meets monetization requirements. Original performances, commentary, meaningful curation, or other distinctive viewer value may make the channel’s contribution clearer, but no format guarantees an individual review outcome. See YouTube channel monetization policies.
Creator Music is not live-stream clearance
YouTube says Creator Music licensing and revenue-sharing tracks are for long-form videos, not livestreams. Do not treat a Creator Music option as permission to use a track in a continuous live broadcast; obtain rights expressly covering the livestream instead. See Creator Music.

Set up and test the YouTube encoder stream
- Confirm live access. Verify the channel and check that it has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Review YouTube Help for current account and age requirements.
- Create the stream in Live Control Room. Set up the encoder stream in advance; YouTube recommends doing so at least two hours before the scheduled event. Select the intended stream or event and retrieve its stream key in Live Control Room. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Configure the encoder. Enter the stream key and use the video and audio settings supported by your source, encoder, and available upload connection. The material available here does not establish a single correct bitrate, resolution, or keyframe interval for every setup; use YouTube’s current encoder guidance and verify the resulting stream in preview rather than guessing at a universal setting.
- Start the encoder before the event. YouTube recommends starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event. Check the Live Control Room preview for picture and sound before starting the public stream.
- Test the viewer experience. Confirm that the event can be reached from the channel and watch pages and from mobile devices. If possible, test privately or unlisted first, then confirm the intended public availability before launch.
- Test recovery and archiving. If you have a backup encoder or failover setup, test it by stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet cable and confirming that playback switches to the backup. Check that local archive files exist and continue growing. Do not assume a backup works until you have tested it.
- Monitor while live. Watch the stream’s audio and video quality and have an operator or documented response process for drops. Record who can restart the stream and how viewers will find a replacement event if a new stream must be created.
YouTube’s encoder setup and operational guidance is available in Set up your encoder for live streaming and Live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
Understand Content ID interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A live stream can show a placeholder, be interrupted, or be terminated if a match remains; archived streams can also receive Content ID claims after the broadcast ends. YouTube specifically notes that even a licensed stream can be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel. See Copyright issues with live streams.

- If you receive a match or interruption, identify the matched material and consult the rights owner and the claim details before restarting with the same recording.
- If you believe you are authorized to use the material, contact the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting. Keep the license and correspondence; possession of a license does not guarantee that automated matching will not interrupt a live stream.
- Check the archive after the stream ends, since a claim may arrive after the live broadcast.
Run a continuous channel without overstating reliability
A 24/7 schedule requires ongoing operations, not just a successful launch. For a self-hosted encoder, document how to detect a dropped stream, restart it, switch to backup equipment, and tell viewers where to go if a replacement stream is needed. Keep a local archive if you need one and verify that it is intact. Monitor playback rather than assuming that a stream key or encoder connection will remain healthy indefinitely.

Troubleshoot common failures
| What you see | Likely issue | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start a live stream | The channel may not be verified, may have a recent live restriction, or may not meet current account requirements. | Check live-stream eligibility and account conditions in YouTube Help before changing encoder settings. |
| The event has no picture or sound in preview | The encoder may not be sending the intended source, or the stream key or encoder configuration may be wrong. | Check the selected source and key in Live Control Room, then verify the encoder output in preview before going public. |
| The stream drops and viewers lose playback | The encoder, machine, power, or internet connection may have stopped or become unstable. | Follow the documented restart or failover procedure, check the backup instead of assuming it works, and communicate a replacement event if required. |
| A placeholder appears or YouTube interrupts the stream | Content ID may have detected third-party content, including a recording for which the channel has a license but is not allowlisted. | Review the match, pause or replace the material as appropriate, and ask the rights owner about allowlisting before using it again. |
| A copyright claim appears after the live ends | The archive may have been matched after broadcast. | Review the claim against the rights and archive permissions you hold; contact the rights owner if the license scope or allowlisting is unclear. |
| The stream runs, but monetization is uncertain | Rights permission does not resolve YPP’s separate originality and reused-content assessment. | Review channel-level monetization policy and whether the channel adds distinctive original value; do not assume a license or a continuous loop establishes eligibility. |
