- A ready YouTube channel: YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. Its current Help guidance also says the person live streaming must be at least 16 years old. Check the channel’s Live Control Room for current access and account-specific prompts.
- Rights to the complete recording: You need authorization for the specific bell recording, rain audio, music, and any other sound or image in the stream. Permission should cover live broadcast and, if you keep the stream archive, the archive too; establish territory and monetization rights where relevant.
- A designed loop: Prepare the visual and audio as one stream-ready program. Decide whether you will use a static image, a designed scene, or changing visuals, and check that the audio remains at a comfortable, consistent level through the full loop.
- An encoder setup: YouTube identifies encoder streaming as the route for productions using overlays and hardware. It gives you control over the program sent to YouTube, but requires you to operate and monitor the encoder and its computer or hosting environment.
- A private rehearsal: Test the entire chain—including the internet connection, audio, visuals, encoder, and YouTube reception—before scheduling the public broadcast.
Can you stream temple bells and rain without a copyright interruption?
Only if you have the rights needed for the actual material you use—and even a license may not, by itself, prevent YouTube from interrupting a live stream. YouTube Help says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. A detected match can replace the broadcast with a placeholder; if the material remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream.

Clear the recordings, not just the idea
“Temple bells” and “rain ambience” describe sounds, not a rights status. A recording found online, a devotional track, or a sound labeled ambient is not automatically cleared for your broadcast. Use recordings you made yourself or obtain permission under terms that cover your planned uses. Save the license or written permission and note what it covers: the sound recording, live streaming, any archived video, the territories involved, and monetization if you plan to enable it.

If a label, distributor, or other rights holder controls the content, coordinate with them before going live. YouTube for Artists advises coordination with a label or distributor for copyright-protected music used in a live stream. That music-specific advice applies to bell recordings only when the relevant rights-holder or distributor relationship fits. A rights owner may also need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; ask about that rather than assuming that a license alone will stop automated interruptions.

Keep copyright and monetization separate
Permission to use audio does not guarantee that a channel or stream qualifies for monetization. YouTube lists ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships as possible live-stream revenue features, subject to eligibility and availability in the channel’s controls. Ad slots are not guaranteed. Check current YouTube Studio eligibility and feature settings, and do not budget around a revenue estimate for a continuously running ambience stream.
How to build the encoder-based stream
The DIY approach below assumes you want a prepared loop with a deliberate visual and control over the audio and video inputs. YouTube’s encoder guidance establishes this type of workflow, but does not prescribe a specific encoder app, operating system, computer specification, resolution, bitrate, or redundancy arrangement for this particular 24/7 stream.

- Prepare the program. Assemble the visuals and rights-cleared audio into a loop using a video workflow you can operate reliably. Listen through a complete cycle, check that the transition back to the start is acceptable, and confirm that no unintended silence, clipping, or abrupt level change has been introduced.
- Enable live streaming and open Live Control Room. Confirm the channel meets YouTube’s current live-stream access requirements. Create a live stream in YouTube Studio or Live Control Room and choose the encoder workflow. If you are new to the account, allow time for YouTube’s setup and any account prompts.
- Connect the encoder using the stream key. Copy the stream key from YouTube’s live setup into the encoder’s YouTube destination settings. Treat the key as a credential: do not post it publicly or include it in a visible scene. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Use settings that match YouTube’s current guidance and your source. Select a video resolution and frame rate that your prepared program and encoder can sustain, then configure the output according to the current recommendations shown in YouTube Live Control Room and the encoder’s own documentation. Match the keyframe interval and bitrate to those current instructions; do not apply a guessed universal bitrate or keyframe value to a 24/7 stream. The available YouTube guidance does not establish exact settings for this ambience scenario.
- Start an unlisted or private rehearsal. Verify that YouTube receives the stream, the audio is present and balanced, the image is correct, and the encoder reports a stable connection. Test the actual network and complete setup you intend to use. Google’s Live Streaming Guide recommends a private rehearsal of the whole setup, including comparing internet connections.
- Schedule and publish deliberately. Once the rehearsal succeeds, schedule the public broadcast and confirm its title, description, audience settings, and visibility. Decide whether chat and comments should be on; if so, plan moderation, or turn them off if you cannot monitor them.
- Monitor the live session. Keep an eye on both the encoder and YouTube Live Control Room for connection warnings, content-match notices, or a stream that has stopped. If YouTube interrupts the broadcast, follow the notice and resolve the rights or content issue before restarting rather than repeatedly sending the same flagged material.
How to rehearse a 24/7 plan without treating it as a reliability guarantee
A private test can expose setup errors, but it cannot prove that a stream will remain live indefinitely. The published checklist guidance is process advice, not a 24/7 uptime specification. Before launch, check the points that commonly invalidate an otherwise good test:

A successful short test may not reveal a flaw near the end of a long source file.
- Rights status: Confirm that each audio and visual element is covered for the planned live use, and check whether a rights owner requires channel allowlisting.
- Encoder continuity: Know how you will notice if the encoder or computer stops, and how you will restart the broadcast. The available platform checklist does not prescribe redundant encoders or hosting.
- Network choice: Test the connection you actually plan to use. Google’s checklist recommends comparing internet connections, but does not state a bandwidth target for this particular broadcast.
- Audience controls: Decide how to handle chat and comments before going public. YouTube’s checklist calls for planning moderation or turning interaction off.
- Scheduling lead time: Google’s checklist recommends enabling live streaming in advance, at least 24 hours before the event. Treat that as legacy checklist advice and verify the current behavior of your channel rather than assuming every account has the same delay.
YouTube’s current Help page states a limit of up to 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. Those are platform limits, not a promise that a stream will remain connected. Check current Studio guidance if your channel is already running other broadcasts.

What computer and internet setup should you use?
An encoder-based loop needs hardware capable of running your chosen video workflow and encoder, plus a network connection that can sustain the output. The available platform guidance does not establish a minimum CPU, GPU, memory, storage, upload speed, or power backup for this specific use. Choose a computer based on the encoding workload and compatibility of the software you select, and test the whole chain under realistic conditions rather than relying on a generic minimum specification.
A dedicated computer is optional enabling hardware, not a tested model recommendation. If comparing machines, consider compatibility with the chosen encoder, the workload of your actual source and output, power draw, storage, and network connectivity. A PC-based setup also means the computer and connection at that location must remain available for the encoder to keep sending the stream.
