You can run a 24/7 Indian lofi music stream by sending YouTube a continuous audio-and-video feed from an encoder: the music is the audio, and one still image is the video. First confirm your channel can livestream, then prepare music and artwork you have permission to broadcast, configure an encoder, and test the stream before leaving it running. The encoder can run on hardware you operate or through a cloud service.
Before you start: check channel access and rights
Confirm livestream eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days to livestream. YouTube also says a person must be at least 16 years old to livestream. Check access in YouTube Studio before preparing a long-running broadcast; see YouTube’s livestreaming help page.

Get permission for the music and image
Use tracks and artwork whose licenses cover public YouTube livestreaming for the duration and territories you intend to reach. Permission for a personal or offline listen does not necessarily cover broadcasting, and attribution by itself does not grant permission. The rights status of any particular Indian lofi track or image depends on its owner and license, so verify the actual terms before you go live.
Recommended Free Tools
Consider making a playlist from recordings you created or music explicitly licensed for this use. Keep records of licenses and permissions. A static image also needs appropriate rights; a photograph, illustration, or album cover is not automatically free to broadcast because it is being used as a background.

How a 24/7 stream with one image works
An encoder combines your image and music into a continuous audiovisual signal and sends it to YouTube. The image can remain unchanged while the audio playlist plays. YouTube distinguishes the incoming stream from the broadcast viewers watch; its API guide also describes a 24/7 broadcast pattern. That example documents a use case, not a guarantee that a stream will never disconnect. See the YouTube Live Streaming API guide.
You can run the encoder on a local computer, or use a hosted option. With local hosting, the computer, encoder, and internet connection need to remain available. For any setup, plan how you will notice interruptions, reconnect, and change the playlist when needed.

Set up the stream, step by step
- Verify eligibility. Sign in to YouTube Studio and confirm that livestreaming is enabled for your channel. If access is restricted, resolve that before building the setup.
- Create the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open the live-streaming workflow in Live Control Room, create or schedule a broadcast, and choose the encoder option. Keep the Live Control Room available to retrieve the stream settings and monitor the event.
- Prepare the image and playlist. Add the still image and the licensed audio playlist to your encoder or hosting workflow. Check that the image displays as intended and that playback can continue through the playlist without an accidental silent gap or unwanted track.
- Set the YouTube destination and stream key. Configure the encoder for YouTube using the destination details and stream key shown in Live Control Room. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not control the stream. Prefer RTMPS, YouTube’s secure extension of RTMP.
- Choose stable video and audio settings. For a static image, high frame rates or 4K are usually unnecessary. Choose a moderate resolution and bitrate that your sustained upload connection can support, then use YouTube’s published settings as a baseline rather than a guarantee for your particular network.
- Test before launching. Send the actual image and music, check the preview and stream-health indicators in Live Control Room, and confirm audio is audible and the picture is present. Start the public broadcast only after the test looks stable.
- Monitor and plan for recovery. Check stream health during the event and decide who will respond if the encoder or connection stops. A long-running broadcast still depends on the equipment, connection, encoder, and YouTube ingest continuing to work.
Encoder settings for a still-image music stream
YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends RTMPS and lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest, H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video, up to 60 frames per second, and AAC or MP3 audio. It recommends constant bitrate encoding and a two-second keyframe interval, with intervals no longer than four seconds. For a static-image stream, a reliable moderate setting is more useful than maximizing resolution or frame rate. See YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrates.
| Setting | YouTube-published baseline | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Video: 1080p at 30 fps, H.264 | 5 Mbps minimum; 14 Mbps recommended (YouTube encoder guidance, accessed 2026) | Use only if your sustained upload capacity can support the bitrate reliably. |
| Video: 720p at 30 fps, H.264 | 3 Mbps minimum; 8 Mbps recommended (YouTube encoder guidance, accessed 2026) | A lower-resolution option when it is a better fit for the available connection. |
| Stereo audio | 44.1 kHz sample rate; 128 kbps audio bitrate (YouTube encoder guidance, accessed 2026) | Use as a starting point for stereo music, then listen to a test on YouTube. |
These are settings published by YouTube, not measurements of your connection or computer. Run an upload-speed test, leave headroom rather than setting video bitrate at the edge of your upload capacity, and validate the actual stream in Live Control Room. A connection that varies or is shared with other users may need a lower bitrate.

Local computer or cloud hosting?
Choose based on how you want to operate the stream. The official YouTube guidance supports the encoder workflow and continuous-broadcast pattern, but does not compare hosting vendors or establish which is more reliable or less expensive. Before choosing, assess:
- Equipment and connection: Can you leave the local machine and internet connection running continuously, or do you want the feed hosted elsewhere?
- Monitoring and recovery: How will you learn that the stream stopped, and what restarts or reconnects it?
- Cost: Compare the ongoing cost of equipment, electricity, and connectivity with any hosted service’s actual plan and billing period.
- Playlist control: Decide how you will update tracks and artwork, and whether those changes require stopping or restarting the broadcast.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It streams what you upload, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
