You can run a continuous Hindi real-estate project tour from a low-cost PC with OBS, but the PC must sustain the encoding load and your internet connection must sustain the upload. Start with a simple 720p30 H.264 setup, test it under realistic conditions, and plan for a person to monitor and restart the stream if the PC, power, connection, or YouTube feed fails. That is a cautious starting point—not a guarantee of uninterrupted 24/7 operation.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has had no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days. YouTube says creators must be at least 16 to livestream. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable livestreaming well before the planned start. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements and encoder setup guide.
- A PC capable of encoding your chosen resolution and scene, plus OBS Studio and a stable wired internet connection if available. OBS lists Windows 10/11 and a DirectX 10.1-compatible GPU among its baseline requirements, but meeting them does not establish that a computer can handle a particular stream. See the OBS system requirements.
- Permission to show the project and any people, homes, or spaces visible in the feed. Clear music, footage, logos, and other third-party material before going live.
- A source for the tour: for example, a camera feed, screen or video source, or a prepared tour presentation. If the stream includes Hindi narration, use a microphone and test that speech is clear over any background sound.
Set up the PC and the Hindi tour
Check sustained performance, not just minimum requirements
In OBS, open the Auto-Configuration Wizard to get a starting configuration, then test the actual scene at the resolution and frame rate you intend to use. Performance depends on the encoder, scene complexity, resolution, and frame rate; a specification list alone cannot predict whether a low-cost machine will keep up. Close unnecessary applications, avoid heavy animated overlays, and watch for dropped frames or an overloaded encoder during the rehearsal.

Build a simple, readable scene
Keep the project name and any essential location or contact information legible without covering important property details. A restrained layout is easier for a modest PC to render and for viewers to follow on phones. Hindi narration is optional: a silent visual tour can work, but if you speak, check microphone level, intelligibility, and room noise during an unlisted rehearsal.
Create the YouTube stream and connect OBS
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a live stream. In the Live Control Room, select the encoder workflow, then set the title, description, visibility, and schedule as appropriate for the project. The first time you enable streaming, allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key into OBS. In OBS, open Settings → Stream, choose YouTube or the relevant YouTube service option, and enter the connection details provided by YouTube. Interface wording can vary by OBS version. The stream key routes the encoder feed to your YouTube event; treat it like a password and never show it in a public screen recording or tutorial.
- Set the video output conservatively. For a constrained PC and connection, test H.264 at 1280×720 and 30 frames per second first. YouTube’s recommended H.264 bitrate for 720p30 is 4 Mbps. Its recommended H.264 bitrate for 1080p30 is 14 Mbps, which requires more upload capacity and may demand more from the PC. These are YouTube recommendations, not guarantees that a particular connection or computer will perform reliably.
- Use YouTube’s encoder guidance. Set rate control to CBR, use a two-second keyframe interval (do not exceed four seconds), and select RTMPS when the encoder offers the secure transport. YouTube lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 among supported codecs for its RTMP/RTMPS settings; H.264 is a practical compatibility-first choice when available. Check the current YouTube encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions when configuring the event.
Match the settings to a measured, stable upload connection with headroom rather than assuming a speed-test peak will hold continuously. The 4 Mbps video recommendation is not the total connection requirement: audio and network variation also matter. If the stream-health panel reports connection or encoding trouble, lower the resolution or bitrate and rehearse again before making the tour public.

Rehearse, start, and monitor the feed
- Set up early. YouTube recommends configuring the encoder at least two hours before an event and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
- Check the Live Control Room preview. Confirm the correct scene, framing, Hindi text, audio, and stream health before making the broadcast public. Verify that viewers can access the watch page on the channel and on a mobile device.
- Test representative conditions. Include movement through the tour, the loudest expected audio, and any scene changes. Check speech level and lip-sync if narration is live. Do not treat a static desktop preview as proof that a long-running stream will remain stable.
- Assign monitoring and recovery. For a 24/7 feed, decide who will check the PC, encoder, connection, and YouTube status, and who can restore the feed after an interruption. YouTube and OBS guidance do not guarantee that a local PC setup will recover autonomously after a crash, power loss, or internet outage.
YouTube advises creators to continuously monitor audio and video quality. For a long-running property tour, arrange a practical check schedule and a way to reach the person responsible; a stream that appears live is not necessarily delivering clean video or intelligible sound.
Plan around YouTube archives and content rights
A 24-hour broadcast may not produce a complete archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will create a complete replay. If a full archive matters, consider scheduling shorter sessions and verify the current platform behavior; retain an independent source recording if you need a dependable copy.

Clear property access and every element in the feed
Get authorization from the project owner and any required consent from occupants or participants for the particular location and broadcast. Requirements depend on the jurisdiction and circumstances, so check applicable local rules rather than assuming a general livestream permission covers them. YouTube’s terms put responsibility for rights in live content and compliance with applicable laws and regulations on the creator.

Troubleshoot common failures
