You can run a Hindi nursery-rhyme programme around the clock on YouTube, but plan it as a series of shorter livestreams rather than one indefinite broadcast. Use a verified channel without live-stream restrictions, an encoder and tested backup arrangements; end and restart each segment before it reaches 12 hours, keep local recordings, set the audience accurately, and clear rights for every song, recording and visual you use.
What do you need before starting a continuous stream?
A prepared, repeating audiovisual programme is well suited to YouTube’s encoder-based livestream workflow. Before you build the schedule, confirm that the channel meets YouTube’s live-stream eligibility requirements and that it has no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube supports mobile, webcam and encoder livestreams; an encoder is the relevant route when you want to send a prepared programme rather than broadcast from a camera or phone.

Prepare the channel and programme
- Verify the channel and check its live-stream status in YouTube Studio.
- Assemble the songs, narration, animation and other visuals you have permission to use. Keep a record of the rights and permitted uses for each item.
- Choose an encoder that supports the format and stream quality you intend to send, can be monitored and restarted, and can record locally. YouTube documents both software and hardware encoding. Hardware is an option, not a requirement; YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware for higher-production-value events.
- Decide how one segment will hand over to the next, who will monitor the broadcast and what they will do if the encoder, network or power fails.
Create the stream in Live Control Room
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a livestream. Set its title, description, visibility and other available stream details.
- Copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key into the encoder’s streaming settings. Keep the key private: anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your channel. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Set the encoder’s output to a resolution, frame rate, codec and bitrate supported by YouTube’s current encoder requirements and by your equipment and connection. Configure keyframes in line with YouTube’s current guidance. There is no one quality setting that suits every source or connection; do not select settings that the encoder or sustained upload connection cannot reliably deliver.
- Start the encoder and inspect the Live Control Room preview. Start the public broadcast only after checking the preview, audio and stream details.
How should you test the stream and its backup?
Run an unlisted test before scheduling the channel as a continuous service. A speed test alone cannot establish that a connection will sustain the programme, and a preview alone does not confirm that the public watch page or local recording behaves as intended.

- Open the unlisted watch page on a computer and a phone. Confirm that video appears and that speech and music are audible at a reasonable level.
- Listen for silence, clipping, abrupt edits and audio/video sync drift. Watch a transition between programme items and make sure the loop does not create a long gap or an accidental black screen.
- Start local recording and confirm that the file grows and plays correctly. Check that the recording includes usable audio and video rather than relying on the YouTube archive as your only copy.
- Observe the stream over time. YouTube recommends configuring encoders well in advance, checking the preview and monitoring audio and video quality.
Measure upload headroom and failover
Add the outgoing bitrates of the streams the connection will carry and compare that total with the upload capacity actually available to the encoder. YouTube recommends leaving 20% bandwidth room beyond the total stream bitrate. Other users and devices sharing the network can consume capacity, so a reliable wired connection is preferable where practical. Judge stability during an extended test, not from a single speed-test result.

If continuity matters, prepare and test a backup encoder or other recovery path. YouTube’s failover guidance describes stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet cable and checking that the player rolls over to the backup. Test this before relying on it. A second encoder, backup internet connection or backup power can add resilience, but also adds cost and operational complexity; none guarantees an uninterrupted broadcast. Keep recovery steps and the necessary account access available to the operator.
How do you keep a 24/7 schedule archive-safe?
A stream that stays live and a single video archive that captures the whole schedule are not the same thing. YouTube automatically archives streams shorter than 12 hours, but warns that “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” Treat that as an archive limit, not a target duration.
Use planned segments and verify each handover
- Divide the day into separate livestreams that end comfortably before 12 hours. Leave room for the closing, restart and recovery; do not schedule a segment to run right up to the threshold.
- Prepare the next segment before ending the current one. Start it and confirm it is live before leaving it unattended, while recognizing that a planned restart can still create a break.
- After each segment, check that the YouTube archive is available and plays properly. Also check the matching local recording; retain it as a backup.
- Maintain a playlist or clear schedule so viewers can find the next segment after a transition. Keep track of segment start times, end times and any gaps that need correction.
Segmentation, monitoring, tested failover and local copies reduce operational risk; they do not guarantee a perfectly gapless 24/7 broadcast or an unbroken archive. YouTube’s encoder and archive guidance does not promise either outcome.

How should you set the audience for nursery rhymes?
YouTube’s examples of children’s music genres include “Nursery Rhymes” and “Hindi Children.” A channel designed for nursery-age viewers should carefully assess whether its content is made for kids and set the audience accordingly in Live Control Room. The creator remains responsible for the designation; do not rely only on automated classification.
Made for Kids livestreams have restricted features. YouTube lists live chat and live chat donations, personalized advertising, comments and notifications among the features that are unavailable or limited for this content. Do not build the operating plan around live chat moderation or assume personalized-ad revenue. Review YouTube’s current audience settings and feature availability when configuring the stream.
Can you use Hindi nursery-rhyme songs on YouTube?
Only when you have the necessary rights for the actual livestream and archive. A familiar rhyme, an old melody or a recording found online is not, by itself, proof that you can broadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the broadcaster to have necessary rights for worldwide use of live content, including music licensing rights, and to meet applicable laws in the stream territory.

Clear every layer of the production
For each item, identify who controls the rights and what permission covers the intended use. In a Hindi nursery-rhyme production, this may involve:

- The musical composition and any arrangement.
- The particular sound recording, including the recording’s owner or label.
- Singers’ and instrumentalists’ performances.
- Animation, illustrations, fonts, stock footage and other visual material.
India’s Copyright Act, 1957 includes communication to the public among the relevant rights and gives owners of musical works rights including reproduction and communication to the public. IPRS describes licensing for music within its control and online uses, but that does not establish that it represents every right or track. A licence from PPL or another sound-recording rights holder should not be assumed to clear lyrics, composition, performers, visuals, YouTube use, territory, archived playback or monetization. Check the repertoire and scope directly with the relevant owners; a commercial 24/7 operation may warrant advice from India-qualified copyright or entertainment counsel.
An underlying traditional rhyme and a modern arrangement, performance, recording or animation are distinct things to clear. Keep written permissions that specify YouTube livestreaming and archived playback, territories, duration, monetization, edits and looping, and how the rights holder will handle Content ID. No general licence or source cited here establishes the rights status of a particular Hindi rhyme or recording.

Understand YouTube’s live content checks
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content. If a match continues, YouTube may replace the image or interrupt or terminate the stream. A rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist even when you have licensed the content. Claims may also appear on the archive after the live broadcast ends. Arrange any required allowlisting before the first test that uses the licensed material, and keep the relevant permission evidence accessible.

Being able to livestream, having rights to broadcast a programme and qualifying to earn money from it are separate questions. YouTube says eligible YouTube Partner Program participants can monetize livestreams, but that does not promise ads on every playback. Made for Kids restrictions also mean personalized ads are not served on children’s content and some features, including live chat and Super Chat, are unavailable or limited.
