You can run a Hindi bhajan stream on YouTube with OBS Studio by connecting OBS to a YouTube Live broadcast and sending a prepared audio-video program from a computer that stays on. For a true 24/7 stream, that computer, its media, power and internet connection must remain available, and someone needs a plan to notice and recover from interruptions. Before going live, clear the rights to every recording and visual: devotional subject matter alone does not make a recording copyright-free.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel eligible to live stream. YouTube says the channel must be verified and have no live-stream restrictions during the past 90 days; live streamers must be at least 16 years old. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- OBS Studio installed on a computer that can remain powered on and connected to the internet.
- Your prepared bhajan audio and any visuals you plan to use, with permission for each recording and image or video.

Clear the rights to the bhajans and visuals
Check the specific recording, not just the underlying song or devotional text. An old composition may have a different rights status from a modern performance, recording, arrangement or video. Set up the YouTube broadcast and connect OBS
- Create or select the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go Live, then create a stream or select one already set up. YouTube’s current encoder workflow is documented at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Copy the connection details. Copy the stream URL (server URL) and stream key shown in Live Control Room. Treat the key like a password: do not share or publish it. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
- Enter the details in OBS. In OBS’s stream connection settings, select YouTube if that option is available, or enter YouTube’s server URL and stream key manually. OBS labels and menus can differ by version; use the current OBS interface and YouTube’s displayed connection details rather than relying on an old screenshot.
- Build the scene. Add the intended audio and visual sources only. Confirm that the correct audio source is active and that no desktop sounds, alerts or unintended windows will be broadcast. OBS’s overview guide explains the basic workflow: OBS Studio Overview Guide.
- Check output settings against your source and connection. Choose a resolution and encoder settings that your computer and upload connection can sustain. There is no universally correct bitrate for an unknown connection, and the reviewed guidance does not specify a Hindi-bhajan-specific profile. Avoid choosing a higher output quality than your source or connection can reliably support.
Test the loop and the stream before launch
OBS recommends testing settings, smooth operation and scenes before the first live stream. Do a controlled rehearsal before announcing the 24/7 broadcast:
- Listen to the audio at the YouTube preview as well as locally. Check for silence, distortion, clipping, unexpected gaps and overly abrupt transitions.
- Watch the visuals through a full playlist transition. Verify the intended ordering, framing and any text or imagery.
- Confirm YouTube receives the stream and reports a healthy incoming signal in Live Control Room.
- Leave OBS running during the test long enough to reveal whether the computer, connection or media workflow has problems.
- Practice what you will do if the stream stops: who will notice, how to restart OBS or the broadcast, and how to verify YouTube is receiving it again.
Do not assume a playlist will loop correctly or that OBS will recover unattended without testing the specific source and setup. The official pages cited here do not establish a universal playlist recipe, exact reconnect timing or uninterrupted-recovery guarantee.

Go live and operate it continuously
- Start sending the stream from OBS.
- Return to YouTube Live Control Room and confirm the preview and live state before treating the channel as on air.
- Keep the computer, OBS, media files, power and network connection available. Set up human or automated monitoring and a documented restart procedure; these are practical operating measures, not a YouTube uptime promise.
- If the stream is interrupted, check OBS and the connection, restart the encoder or broadcast as appropriate, then confirm the incoming stream in Live Control Room. YouTube’s reviewed guidance does not promise that a long interruption will resume the same continuous broadcast.
A UPS may help a local setup ride through brief power loss, but the required capacity depends on the actual equipment and desired runtime; the official sources do not specify a required model or size. Diagnose the power or network issue before buying hardware.

Plan separately for a replay
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A continuous 24/7 stream therefore should not be treated as one guaranteed, complete replay. If you need replays, decide in advance whether to run shorter broadcast sessions or keep separate local recordings, then test storage, retention and access. The cited guidance does not establish a specific recording configuration or alternative archive workflow.
