To run a 24/7 Gujarati garba and bhajan stream on YouTube, use an eligible channel, an encoder-based workflow, a stable upload connection with tested recovery, and music rights that cover every recording and composition in the program. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, so having a license may not be enough to prevent an interruption unless the rights owner has also allowlisted your channel.
Plan the stream before you schedule it
Decide what the channel will play, how its visuals will work, and who will respond if the stream stops. A round-the-clock broadcast is an ongoing operation, not just a video file sent once: someone or some service must be responsible for detecting silence, frozen video, or disconnection and restoring the feed.

Make a rights inventory for every track
Before building a playlist, record the title, composer and lyricist where known, performer, recording owner or label, and source of each audio file. Keep the license or written permission with the entry, along with its territories, term, permitted platforms and formats, monetization terms, archive permissions, and any requirement to have the channel allowlisted by the rights owner.
Check the composition and the specific sound recording separately. A traditional or old devotional composition does not automatically clear a modern performance, arrangement, or recording. The rights needed depend on the work, recording, agreements, and jurisdiction; do not assume Gujarati devotional music is free to use. Without your track list, operating country, and agreements, it is not possible to determine whether a particular program is cleared.

Choose the program and visual layout
Prepare the video or visual elements that will accompany the music, and check that the playlist transitions make sense when repeated. Make sure titles, artwork, and any on-screen text are suitable for the full duration of the broadcast. Keep a copy of the final playlist and its rights records so the operator can identify what was playing if a rights warning occurs.
Check YouTube livestream eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a livestreaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Its help guidance also says livestreamers must be at least 16 years old. Check the channel’s eligibility before you invest time in the production, and confirm that livestreaming is available to that channel.
YouTube supports mobile, webcam, encoder, and console livestreaming methods. For a continuous, programmed music stream with designed visuals and production controls, an encoder is the relevant method to evaluate. YouTube presents software encoding as an option and recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production-value events; that is guidance, not a requirement to buy hardware.

Configure the encoder and connection
Use supported formats and stable encoding
- Protocol: Use RTMP or RTMPS.
- Video codec: YouTube’s encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265, and AV1 as supported options.
- Audio codec: Use AAC or MP3.
- Rate control: Use constant bitrate encoding.
- Keyframes: Set a two-second keyframe interval and do not exceed four seconds.
Match output quality to measured upload capacity
Choose resolution, frame rate, and bitrate together: a higher-quality output needs more sustained upload capacity. Use YouTube’s current encoder bitrate table for the selected output format rather than relying on a bitrate copied from an unrelated setup. Run an upload-speed test on the connection you will actually use, and leave 20% capacity headroom, as YouTube recommends. Stability matters as much as a high peak speed for a stream that is meant to stay live.
Prefer a wired connection where practical, avoid saturating the upload with other traffic, and test at the intended settings for long enough to spot instability. A speed test is a point-in-time measurement, not a guarantee that the connection will remain steady all day.
Protect the stream from a single failure
Plan what happens if the encoder or internet connection fails. YouTube recommends testing backup-encoder failover. If you use a single encoder, document who will notice a problem and how they will restart it; if you have a backup, rehearse the switch rather than assuming it will work. Retain local recordings where practical so you have a copy if the live feed or archive is interrupted.

Schedule, preview, and rehearse the broadcast
- Create the live event: Use YouTube’s Live Control Room to set up the broadcast and obtain the stream settings and key for your encoder. Treat the stream key as a credential; do not publish it or share it with people who do not need it.
- Configure the encoder: Enter the stream settings and key, select the intended resolution and frame rate, and apply the codec, constant bitrate, audio, and keyframe settings described above.
- Start a preview: Start the encoder feed early enough to check the preview in Live Control Room before the program is due to begin.
- Check picture and sound: Confirm the visuals are moving, the audio is audible and in sync, and the encoder’s output matches the planned format. Check transitions between playlist items, not just the opening seconds.
- Test the audience view: Open the watch page and channel page, and check playback on a mobile device. Confirm that the stream is accessible as intended.
- Rehearse recovery: Test the backup encoder or documented restart procedure. Confirm that any local recording or archive you rely on is actually growing.
YouTube’s setup advice is oriented toward livestream events; it does not promise uninterrupted 24/7 operation or prescribe one universal round-the-clock design. For a continuous channel, turn the rehearsal into a written runbook: name the person or service monitoring the stream, define how to detect silence, frozen video, and disconnection, and document who restarts or switches encoders.
Clear music for live use and YouTube’s checks
YouTube’s live-stream terms say: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” That is contractual language applying to the live content; it is not a determination that a particular song or recording is cleared.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies a match, it may warn the streamer, replace the stream with a placeholder, temporarily interrupt it, or terminate it if the content remains. A creator who has licensed music should ask the relevant rights owner whether the channel must be allowlisted. YouTube says a stream may still be interrupted if a licensed channel has not been allowlisted.

An archived stream may receive Content ID claims after the broadcast ends. Check that your permissions cover the live broadcast and any archived playback you plan to keep, as well as the relevant territories and monetization. A music catalog license should not be treated as blanket permission for every live use, recording, territory, or playlist item.
Do not confuse Creator Music or Content ID with permission
YouTube’s Creator Music usage requirements say that its revenue-sharing tracks cannot be used in live streams. That makes Creator Music revenue-sharing tracks unsuitable for this program.

YouTube says Content ID reference material must be exclusively owned by the rightsholder; continuous DJ mixes and compilations are not suitable as one reference and must be separated into individual components. Those rules concern what rightsholders may submit, not whether a channel may broadcast the music.

YouTube also describes a separate live-stream Content ID matching feature for certain eligible partners using Content Manager. It has strict global-rights and exclusive-ownership requirements and excludes third-party material such as background music from the matched stream. An ordinary creator should not assume this specialized rightsholder feature can clear or protect their broadcast.

- The channel cannot start a livestream: Check that the channel is verified, that it has no livestreaming restriction from the previous 90 days, and that the creator meets YouTube’s stated minimum age of 16.
- The encoder feed will not connect: Check the stream settings and key, the RTMP or RTMPS configuration, the network connection, and the encoder’s output status. Keep the key private; if it may have been exposed, replace it through YouTube’s stream settings.
- The stream is unstable or drops: Compare the chosen bitrate with the upload connection under actual operating conditions. Reduce output demands if necessary, preserve the recommended 20% upload headroom, and test the backup or restart procedure.
- Video or audio is not behaving as expected: Check codec support, constant bitrate configuration, the two-second keyframe interval (never more than four seconds), audio encoding, and the feed in Live Control Room. Verify the audience view on mobile as well.
- YouTube warns, interrupts, or replaces the stream: Treat it as a possible third-party-content match. Identify the track that was playing, consult the rights records, and contact the rights owner about both the license and any channel allowlisting requirement. Do not assume that permission alone prevents the platform interruption.
- A claim appears after the stream ends: Review which archived material was claimed and compare it with the rights evidence for that recording and composition. Confirm that archive use is covered; a live-use permission may not cover the saved playback.
