You can run a continuous crystal singing bowl broadcast with OBS by routing the bowl’s sound into your computer, creating an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, entering YouTube’s stream URL and key in OBS, and monitoring the feed while it runs. Enable livestreaming on your channel in advance, test the complete audio path before going public, and keep a local recording if you need a replay: YouTube warns that a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured as an archive.
Before you set up OBS, check that your channel can livestream
Your YouTube channel must be verified and must not have had livestreaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. If this is your first livestream, activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the day you plan to broadcast.

Decide whether the stream will be public, unlisted, or private, and whether you need a replay. Those choices affect how you configure the stream and what you need to record locally.

Choose an audio capture path
OBS needs to receive the bowl’s sound as an audio input. Depending on your equipment, the signal path may use a microphone connected directly to the computer or a microphone routed through a preamp or audio interface. YouTube’s encoder guidance supports external audio hardware, including microphones and preamps, but it does not establish one best microphone, placement, interface, bowl size, or room treatment for crystal singing bowls. Choose a setup that works with your room and equipment, then test it rather than assuming the bowl will be captured clearly.
#1 Best Overall
- Complete 7-Piece Crystal Singing Bowl Set for the Seven Chakras – Includes 7 frosted crystal singing bowls from 7" to 12" (12"C, 11"D, 10"E, 9"F, 8"G, 8"A, 7"B), 2 carrying cases, 2 suede strikers, 1 rubber mallet, 7 O-rings, and 6 protective sleeves for organized storage and transport.
- Tuned to A4=432Hz Standard — The set follows the 432Hz tuning system, where A4 is calibrated to 432Hz and each bowl corresponds to its own musical note. Each bowl is individually tested before shipping to ensure consistent pitch and quality.Preferred by many meditation and sound bath practitioners for its consistent tuning reference.
- Clear, Long-Lasting Quartz Resonance — Crafted from high-purity quartz crystal, each bowl produces a rich, vibrant tone with deep resonance and smooth vibration. The frosted surface design provides a professional appearance suitable for studios, wellness spaces, and home practice.
- Easy to Play with Two Simple Techniques – Gently strike the outer wall for a clear, resonant tone, or glide the suede striker around the outer rim to build sustained sound. Simple to learn for beginners while offering the tonal range experienced practitioners need for individual practice, group sessions, and sound baths.
- Complete Protection for Storage & Transport – Each bowl is carefully inspected and securely packed before shipping. Protective sleeves, O-rings, and two carrying cases help keep the seven bowls organized and protected between sessions, whether used at home, in a studio, or while traveling.
In OBS, add or select the device that receives the bowl’s audio and confirm its meter responds when you play the bowl. If you use OBS audio monitoring, configure it carefully: routing monitored audio back into the captured input can cause feedback or echo. Use headphones for monitoring when appropriate, and check the result in the YouTube preview before making the stream public.
Choose a visual that can stay on air
Use a stable camera view or a static visual that fits the broadcast. Check that the audio remains available if the camera or visual source is stationary, and make sure you have the rights to the visual and audio content you broadcast.

Create the YouTube encoder stream and connect OBS
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a stream. Choose the visibility and other stream settings that suit your broadcast.
- Get the encoder details in YouTube Live Control Room. Copy the stream URL and stream key. The key is a credential: do not share it or show it on screen.
- Enter the details in OBS. In OBS’s stream settings, choose the YouTube service or the applicable custom encoder option, then enter the stream URL and key from Live Control Room.
- Start the OBS encoder. Wait for YouTube’s preview to appear in Live Control Room before starting the public broadcast.
- Check the result on the channel or watch page. Confirm that the stream is accessible and that both sound and picture work, including on a mobile device if viewers are likely to use one.
If you think someone has obtained your stream key, reset it in Live Control Room and replace the old key in OBS.

Test audio and encoder settings before going public
Make a private or unlisted test that uses the same bowl, microphone, room, OBS scene, and network conditions planned for the broadcast. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the eventual stream. Listen to the preview for a clear bowl sound, unwanted room noise, clipping, silence, echo, or feedback; check the picture and YouTube’s stream-health messages as well.

YouTube’s published encoder guidance includes CBR and AAC or MP3 audio, with 44.1 kHz for stereo. Treat these as guidance, not a complete OBS preset: the appropriate resolution, video bitrate, keyframe interval, and other video settings depend on your chosen output and current encoder controls. Confirm the current OBS settings and YouTube stream health for the resolution and network you actually use instead of relying on an unsupported one-size-fits-all number.
Keep the broadcast monitored and plan for interruptions
A 24/7 stream needs attention after it starts. Monitor audio and video quality, watch for stream-health messages, and check the YouTube watch page periodically. If you are recording locally, verify that the archive file is growing; YouTube recommends checking local archive files as part of monitoring.

OBS, the computer, audio equipment, and internet connection all need to remain available for this do-it-yourself setup. You can consider a UPS for the computer and network equipment as an optional resilience measure, but it is not a guarantee against interruptions. The consulted YouTube guidance does not establish a particular OBS or operating-system restart configuration that guarantees uninterrupted operation. Test your actual setup and know how you will respond if the encoder, computer, or connection stops.
Understand YouTube’s archive and DVR limits for a 24-hour stream
Do not assume one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will produce a complete replay. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube also notes that DVR pause and rewind range or availability can be limited for very long streams, including streams over 12 hours.

If replay matters, make and check a local recording, and plan how you will publish or divide the recording around YouTube’s limits. Verify that the finished archive exists and is complete rather than assuming it will be available automatically.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a home computer and connection to keep the broadcast running, StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud option for uploaded recordings. Upload your bowl recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops the uploaded video from the cloud; it does not broadcast live camera input.
- Nothing has to stay on at home while the stream runs.
- Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality-based tiers.
- StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card required.
