YouTube’s desktop tools support manual playlist creation, updates, and reordering; the cited YouTube Help does not document a built-in scheduler that automatically rotates playlists across channels.
What “rotate” means in YouTube’s desktop workflow
For this workflow, rotation is an editorial routine: you decide which playlist or videos to feature, then make the changes on each channel yourself. Keep a simple schedule or checklist of channel, language, playlist, and next update date. YouTube’s playlist controls let you organize and reorder videos, but the cited help does not describe automatic timed rotation or switching between channels.

Update playlists on each channel from one PC
- Open YouTube and check the active channel. Before editing, confirm that the account context is the channel intended for that language or audience. Do not assume a playlist change will apply to the channel you last used.
- Create a playlist when needed. Open a video that belongs in it, select More → Save → Create new playlist, enter a descriptive name, choose a privacy setting, and create it. YouTube documents this desktop flow in its playlist help.
- Add videos to an existing playlist. On a video, choose More → Save, then select the intended playlist. Check YouTube’s confirmation message to ensure it names the correct destination.
- Reorder eligible videos. Open the playlist and drag videos into the order you want. YouTube says reordering is unavailable when a playlist contains only Shorts.
- Switch to the next channel and repeat. Recheck the active channel before creating or changing a playlist. Keep names and update notes clear enough that a similar playlist on another language channel is not mistaken for the right one.

Switch to each channel and edit its playlists directly. This keeps the process straightforward, but the operator must verify the active channel at each change. A lightweight checklist can record the channel, playlist, videos added or reordered, and the next planned update.

Giving a collaborator access
If someone else will curate playlists, use YouTube Studio channel permissions rather than sharing the Google Account password. YouTube says granting permissions is safer than sharing a password or other sensitive sign-in details, and permissions let an owner choose an access level. Review each role’s scope and select one that allows the work required without granting unnecessary control. The YouTube channel-permissions help describes five access levels and notes that some actions are unavailable to invited users. Channel permissions do not support some parts of YouTube for invited users, including YouTube Music and YouTube APIs; a Brand Account must first be migrated to channel permissions to use this flow.

Use cross-promotion without confusing it with rotation
YouTube’s creator blog described featuring another channel’s playlist in a channel section, as well as multi-channel sections, as cross-promotion options. That can help surface related content, but it does not rotate playlists automatically or replace maintaining each channel’s own playlists. The post dates to September 12, 2013, so check the current YouTube interface before relying on its exact placement or controls: YouTube’s cross-promotion announcement.
Limits and common snags
- Public playlist creation limit: YouTube says there is a daily limit per channel across YouTube, YouTube Music, and the YouTube API. The help page does not give a universal number; access to advanced features can increase the limit.
- The wrong playlist receives a video: After choosing More → Save, verify the playlist name in YouTube’s confirmation message. If it is wrong, remove the video from that playlist and add it to the correct one.
- Videos will not reorder: Check whether the playlist contains only Shorts; YouTube does not offer the described drag-to-reorder behavior for those playlists.
- A collaborator cannot perform an action: Check their permission level and whether the action is supported for delegates. Some YouTube functions, including YouTube Music and YouTube APIs, are not supported for invited users under channel permissions.
- You cannot find channel permissions for a Brand Account: YouTube says the Brand Account must be migrated to channel permissions before this permissions flow can be used.
