Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo rotate a recorded Roblox video in a YouTube livestream, add it to an OBS scene as a Media Source, apply a transform to orient and frame it, then stream the composed scene to YouTube using OBS. The change affects the live composition; it does not permanently rotate the original video file. If by “rotate” you mean cycle through several clips, use a playlist source instead.
Rotate and frame one recorded Roblox clip in OBS
OBS handles the correction in the scene you send to YouTube. The documented workflow is to add a local media file, transform and position that source, and use OBS as the encoder for the live feed. Labels and interface details can vary by OBS version and operating system; the OBS documentation describes these capabilities rather than a single universal walkthrough. OBS Media Sources and the OBS Sources Guide explain media sources and source layout controls.

- Create or select a scene. In OBS, choose a scene for the Roblox clip or create one in the Scenes panel.
- Add the clip. In the Sources panel, add a Media Source and select the recorded video file. OBS Media Source supports local media files.
- Choose whether it should repeat. If you want one clip to replay, open the Media Source properties and enable Loop. If it should play once, leave looping off.
- Apply the orientation change. Select the source in the preview or Sources list, then use its Transform or Edit Transform controls to rotate it. Use the preview to check the direction and adjust position and size so the important gameplay remains visible.
- Check the canvas framing. Choose an OBS canvas/output layout appropriate to the intended stream, then inspect the preview for cropped gameplay, black bars, or unused space. A rotated portrait clip placed on a landscape canvas may leave empty areas; scaling it to fill the canvas can crop the image.
- Send the scene to YouTube Live. Set up YouTube Live and connect OBS as the encoder, then start streaming from OBS. YouTube describes encoder streaming for gameplay and overlays in its encoder streaming help. Confirm the correct scene is active before going live.
If “rotate” means switching between recorded clips
Rotating a source changes its orientation. Switching through clips is a separate task: OBS documents a VLC Video source for playlists, with a Loop Playlist option. VLC must be installed for that source. Configure the playlist and its repeat behavior in the source properties, then verify the playback order in OBS before streaming. The documented controls establish playlist playback and looping, but not a randomized or scheduled clip-rotation system. See OBS Media Sources.

Roblox’s built-in in-experience video capture records up to 30 seconds per capture and is available on desktop and mobile, according to Roblox Support. Those details apply to Roblox’s capture feature, not every third-party recording method.

When using an adapter, if the device is recognized as USB 2.0, try using the other side with the USB-C port. Simply flip the capture card and reconnect it to be recognized as USB 3.0
- Captures are stored in Roblox app storage. Use the save control to move a clip to the device camera roll or the desktop Videos folder.
- If you delete the Roblox app before saving a clip elsewhere, the gallery clips are deleted too.
- Roblox says its capture feature removes in-experience UI and does not record voice chat or other in-experience sounds. If your stream needs narration or other audio, plan to add it separately.
Choose between a live-only correction and a changed file
Use OBS’s transform when you only need the orientation corrected in the livestream composition. The transform does not change the original clip. If you need a permanently rotated asset for reuse outside OBS, you will need to edit and export the file in a video editor; the OBS workflow described here does not provide editor-specific export steps.
Copyright and monetization considerations
Rotating a clip or adding commentary does not by itself make it eligible for monetization. YouTube’s game and software content guidance says monetization can depend on commercial-use rights granted by the game publisher. It also says gameplay without appropriate rights must be minimal and discusses instructional or educational value in commentary tied to the action; extended gameplay alone may not be accepted. Check the rights that apply to your content and do not assume a livestream format changes them.

Troubleshooting
- The clip is still sideways or upside down: Re-select the Media Source and check its transform rotation and the preview. Make sure you changed the intended source rather than another item in the scene.
- Gameplay is cut off after rotation: Reposition or resize the source and inspect the full preview. The source’s orientation and the canvas aspect ratio may not match.
- The clip stops instead of replaying: Check the Media Source’s Loop setting. For multiple clips, check Loop Playlist on the VLC Video source instead.
- The playlist source is unavailable: OBS’s VLC Video source requires VLC installed. Install VLC, then return to OBS and configure the playlist source.
- The stream shows the wrong scene: Confirm the Roblox scene is selected in OBS before starting or continuing the encoder stream.
- The clip has no voice chat or in-game sounds: Roblox’s built-in capture omits those sounds. This is a property of that capture feature, not evidence that every recording method omits audio.
