To reset Beats Solo 4, press and hold the volume-down button on the left earcup and the power button on the right earcup for 10 seconds. Release both when the status light flashes red and white, then pair the headphones with your device again. Apple’s reset instructions describe this procedure for Beats headphones.
Reset Beats Solo 4
- Find the volume-down button on the left earcup and the power button on the right earcup.
- Press and hold both buttons for 10 seconds.
- When the status light flashes red and white, release both buttons.
- Pair the headphones with your phone, tablet, or computer again.
Pair the headphones again
Press and hold the Solo 4 power button. When the lights flash, the headphones are ready to pair. Open Bluetooth settings on your device and select Beats Solo 4.

- iPhone or iPad: Open Settings > Bluetooth, then select the headphones.
- Android: Open Settings > Connections > Bluetooth, select the headphones, and tap Pair if prompted.

If Beats Solo 4 still won’t connect
Work through these checks before repeating the reset. Apple recommends keeping wireless Beats within 30 feet of the paired device while troubleshooting.

- Check the volume on both devices and confirm the correct audio output and input are selected.
- Move the devices close together and away from other Bluetooth devices, microwaves, wireless routers, and other electronics.
- In the device’s Bluetooth settings, forget or unpair Beats Solo 4, then try pairing again. If that does not help, reset the headphones and pair once more.
- Make sure the paired Apple or Android device is up to date before unpairing and pairing again.

When to contact support
If the reset sequence does not produce the red-and-white flashing light, or the headphones remain unresponsive afterward, contact Apple Support. The documented steps do not identify the cause of an individual unit’s failure.
