Report the voice conversation
- Open Fortnite’s Sidebar.
- Select the voice chat tab. If you are in a match, Fortnite may open this tab automatically.
- Select Report Conversation.
- Wait for the report to load, then select Submit.
- Close the screen to return to the game.
These are the steps in Epic Games Support’s voice-reporting instructions. The voice-chat menu also contains controls for reporting and managing communication settings; chat availability can depend on the chat type and island support, as described in Epic’s chat settings guidance.

What the report includes—and when it can include audio
With voice reporting on, Fortnite keeps a rolling capture of the latest five minutes on your console or PC. Audio older than that is deleted, so submitting promptly matters if you want the relevant conversation included. The audio is sent to Epic for moderator review when a participant submits a conversation report; Epic says it cannot access voice chat audio otherwise. If voice reporting was off before the conversation, you can still report the player, mute them, or block them, but you cannot attach audio captured from before reporting was enabled. Epic explains this in its guidance for reporting inappropriate voice chat without voice reporting.

Report a player separately if needed
A conversation report is for the voice-chat incident and may include eligible audio. If you also want to identify a particular player or report conduct without audio, use Fortnite’s player-report route:
- Open the in-game menu and select Report.
- Select Submit a report, then A player or sidekick.
- Choose the player and the reason for the report, then accept to send it.
Epic also says you can report someone from a recently played player’s profile or the voice-channel players list. Its complete instructions are on Epic Games Support’s player-report page. You can mute or block the player to stop interacting with them.

What conduct is covered, and what may happen next
Epic’s Community Rules address bullying and harassment. They say threats of harm to yourself or others are taken seriously, even when made as a joke, and direct players who see something putting others at risk to in-game reporting or player support.

Epic reviews reports to determine whether action is warranted; filing one does not guarantee a particular outcome. Depending on the severity and number of offenses, consequences may include a warning, temporary limits on social features such as voice or text chat, or a permanent account ban. If a threat suggests immediate danger
Use Fortnite’s reporting tools, and contact local authorities if the situation warrants it. Epic’s player-report guidance identifies local authorities as an additional option for serious situations. Do not rely on an in-game report as an emergency response.
