Version 1.29.0 also added blocking after a report and exposes report, mute, and block actions on squad members’ end-of-round name plates.

Report when Embark needs to investigate conduct such as harassment, hate speech, cheating, exploit abuse, stream sniping, account abuse, or trading items for value. A report is a review signal, not an automatic ban: Embark says reports are reviewed and verified, and mass reports alone cannot ban someone.

The official reporting path
Embark identifies the in-game menu as the best way to report another player because it supplies match and player context to its enforcement team. You do not need to leave the game to start the process.

Reporting from an end-of-round name plate
Social changes in version 1.29.0 added report, mute, and block actions when you select a squad member’s name plate at the end of a round. This gives you a second route when the behavior is fresh and the player is visible in the post-round interface.
Select the player’s name plate, choose Report, pick the applicable reason, describe the behavior briefly, and submit. The same standard applies as in the Lobby: describe observable conduct rather than declaring a conclusion you cannot establish. If the interface offers Block after the report, use it to prevent further contact from that player.
How to write a report Embark can investigate
A useful report is specific enough to identify the incident without becoming a long argument. Embark’s review team needs a description of what occurred, when it occurred, and any identifying context visible in the match.
Include observable facts
- State the behavior: for example, the player used targeted insults, repeated slurs, threatened you, appeared to follow your stream, or displayed conduct you believe violates a listed rule.
- Say when it happened, such as during a particular round or near the end-of-round screen.
- Identify the relevant player name exactly as it appeared if you can do so.
- Explain the sequence in plain language, separating what you saw or heard from what you inferred.
Avoid unsupported certainty
If play looked suspicious, do not label it definite cheating unless you actually have evidence that establishes that conclusion. Describe the actions that raised concern and let Embark investigate. A statement such as “the player tracked my position through cover several times” is more useful than an accusation that supplies no behavior or timing.
Keep the description concise
Use enough detail to distinguish the incident from ordinary competitive play, but do not bury the key event in unrelated complaints. One focused description covering the conduct, timing, and context is preferable to speculation about the player’s motives or a demand for a particular punishment.
Mute and block: stopping contact immediately
Reporting asks Embark to investigate. Muting and blocking are immediate controls for communication or future contact, so they serve a different purpose.

Mute
Use Mute from the end-of-round name-plate actions when you want to stop hearing a player without making an enforcement claim. This is appropriate for unwanted voice communication, repeated provocation, or distracting chatter that does not by itself require a report. The exact keyboard or controller binding is not specified in the published notes; follow the on-screen prompt for your platform.

Block
Version 1.29.0 added an option to block a player after reporting. Use Block from the post-round name-plate menu or the post-report option when you want to stop further contact from that account. Blocking does not replace a report: it protects your immediate play experience, while the report supplies Embark with an incident to review.
When to use both
If the conduct violates a rule and you do not want further interaction, report first and then block. If you only need quiet during the current interaction, mute can be the quickest response. You can choose the control that matches the problem rather than treating every unpleasant conversation as the same type of violation.
Choosing the right immediate response
| Action | Speed | Investigative value | Where it applies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mute | Immediate reduction of unwanted voice communication | None by itself; it does not send an incident for review | In-game communication with the muted player |
| Block | Immediate prevention of further contact through the available block control | None by itself; pair it with a report when conduct needs investigation | Future contact from that player through the game’s social controls |
| Report | Submitted during or after the encounter; enforcement is not immediate or automatic | Provides Embark with a review signal and your description of the incident | In-game conduct covered by Embark’s rules |
For a serious incident, the practical sequence is to mute or block so the interaction stops, then submit a factual report while the details are still clear. Do not assume that muting or blocking alerts Embark; those controls and the report serve separate functions.
Conduct that can be reportable
Embark’s enforcement policy lists several categories that can lead to a ban. The list includes both behavior toward other players and conduct that undermines fair play.
Abusive behavior and harassment
Targeted abuse, harassment, and threatening or degrading conduct can fall under the policy. Hate speech is also specifically listed. When reporting voice or text abuse, identify the words or behavior as accurately as possible without repeating unnecessary slurs in your description.

Stream sniping
Stream sniping is listed as conduct that can lead to a ban. If you believe a player used your live broadcast to gain an unfair advantage, describe the observable pattern and timing rather than treating suspicion as proof.
Cheating and exploit abuse
Cheating and abusing exploits are enforcement matters. Report the actions that appeared abnormal, including when and how they affected the match. Embark can evaluate telemetry and other evidence; your report does not need to establish the technical method.
Account boosting, farming, sharing, or selling
The policy also lists account boosting or farming, account sharing or selling, and trading items for anything of value. If one of these is the reason for your report, state the relevant behavior and context rather than guessing at ownership or payment arrangements.
What happens after you submit a report
Embark states that all reports are reviewed and verified before action is taken. That means a submission starts an investigation; it is not a vote that directly applies a punishment.
Mass reports do not automatically cause a ban
Embark says mass reporting alone cannot ban someone. Multiple reports may draw attention to an incident, but the number of submissions is not a substitute for verification. A player should not be reported simply because they won a fight, used an unusual strategy, or annoyed teammates when no listed violation occurred.
Possible sanctions
Sanctions can be temporary or permanent, depending on the severity of the conduct. In serious cases, enforcement may extend across Embark titles. Embark also says hardware bans can be issued; those bans are described as final and non-appealable.

Why you may not receive a detailed outcome
A report is part of an enforcement review, not a promise that the reporter will receive a case-by-case explanation. Submit the information you have, then use mute or block if you need an immediate safeguard while the review proceeds.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When harassment happens outside ARC Raiders
Embark says it does not moderate off-platform discussions or content. If the abuse occurs on a social network, streaming service, messaging app, or another game service, report it through that service’s own moderation tools.
Keep the scopes separate: use the ARC Raiders Social menu for conduct that occurred in the game, and use the host platform for conduct that occurred there. If the same person violates rules in both places, make a report in each relevant system rather than assuming one platform can enforce another platform’s rules.
If you were banned and believe it was a mistake
Ban appeals go through Embark Support. Sign in with your Embark ID, open the chat bubble, choose Ban Appeals > In-Game Ban, and include the enforcement message along with relevant context.
- Open the official Embark Support portal and sign in with the Embark ID associated with the affected account.
- Select the chat bubble to start a support conversation.
- Choose Ban Appeals, then In-Game Ban.
- Provide the enforcement message and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect.
- Add relevant timing or account context that can help the reviewer locate the case.
Embark’s fair-play article says every ban appeal is reviewed by a person on its team. Keep the appeal focused on the specific enforcement message and facts; submitting repeated, unsupported accusations does not make the review stronger.

How anti-cheat review fits into enforcement
Embark says its anti-cheat approach combines Easy Anti-Cheat kernel-level protection with machine-learning models trained on a constant flow of player telemetry. It also says it is working with Anybrain and refining systems to distinguish legitimate accessibility-device use from abuse.
This context explains why a player report is one input to a broader review rather than the sole evidence for a ban. If you see suspicious play, report the behavior you observed. Avoid trying to determine which detection system should be used or attempting to confront the suspected player yourself.
Troubleshooting the reporting process
The player is not in Recent
Return to the Lobby and check Social > Recent again. If you still cannot locate the account, use the end-of-round name-plate route when it is available. Report as soon as you can while the player name and incident details are still identifiable.

Open the player’s name rather than only highlighting the list. The report, mute, and block actions are exposed through the player selection or name-plate action menu described in version 1.29.0 notes. Follow the on-screen prompt for your platform because the published information does not specify universal keyboard or controller bindings.
You submitted the wrong category
If you realize the selected reason does not match the incident, do not create a series of duplicate reports to compensate. For any further report you submit, choose the closest accurate category and explain the observable behavior in the description.
The player continues contacting you
Use Mute to stop unwanted voice communication and Block to prevent further contact through the available social control. If the conduct is abusive, hateful, harassing, or otherwise covered by the enforcement policy, submit the report as well.
The abuse is threatening or creates an immediate safety concern
End the interaction, use the game’s mute and block controls, and report the account. For threats or illegal conduct that occur outside the game, contact the service hosting the content and, where appropriate, relevant local authorities. Do not attempt to investigate or confront the person yourself.

- Am I reporting conduct that occurred in ARC Raiders rather than on another service?
- Did I select the player from Social > Recent or an end-of-round name plate?
- Did I choose the closest available reason?
- Does my description state what happened and when?
- Have I separated what I observed from what I suspect?
- Do I need to mute or block the player immediately?
- Am I avoiding duplicate or retaliatory reports?
Following this checklist keeps the report in the correct channel, gives Embark a clear incident description, and lets you protect your own play session without confusing an immediate social control with an enforcement decision.
