That repeats playback for you; it does not broadcast the songs as a YouTube Live stream. If you want a continuous live broadcast, you need a separate encoder-based setup and the rights to stream the music.
First, choose what you mean by “repeat on YouTube Live”
Do you want the playlist to repeat for your own listening, or do you want to broadcast it as a live stream? These are different tasks:

Repeat the whole playlist while listening
On a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel beside the video.
- Click Loop in the playlist box. YouTube says this repeats the playlist.
On Android
- Start playing the playlist.
- Tap Loop in the Playlist control box under the video.
- Check the control’s state: one tap repeats the playlist; a further tap changes it to repeat the current video, marked with a “1.”
On a TV or gaming console
- Select the playlist and start a video.
- Press down on the remote or controller to show the playback controls.
- Select Repeat until the control displays Repeat • Playlist.
YouTube documents these paths for computer, Android, TV and gaming consoles. For iPhone or iPad, use the playlist’s current repeat control in the app; the cited instructions do not establish a precise iOS button path.

Make sure the control is set to repeat the playlist, not just the current track. On desktop, YouTube also documents a right-click Loop action for a single video. On Android, Settings → Additional settings → Loop video repeats one video. Those single-video controls are separate from playlist repeat. See YouTube’s computer instructions and Android instructions.

Broadcast an Odia playlist as a YouTube Live stream
A viewer’s Loop button only changes playback in the YouTube player. To broadcast music live, you need a separate feed sent to YouTube through an encoder. YouTube describes an encoder as software or hardware that converts video into a digital format for streaming, and lists software encoders including OBS. Its encoder workflow is separate from playing a playlist in the viewer interface. Read YouTube’s guide to creating a live stream with an encoder.
Creator setup checklist
- Confirm the live-streaming feature is enabled. If you are enabling live streaming for the first time, YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours. This timing is YouTube Help’s operational guidance, not a guaranteed completion time for every account. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and getting-started guidance.
- Prepare media you are authorized to broadcast. Confirm that your rights cover use in a live stream, not merely personal listening or possession of a copy.
- Set up the live broadcast in YouTube Studio. Follow YouTube’s current encoder workflow to create or configure the broadcast and obtain the stream details.
- Configure an encoder to send the authorized media as a live feed. Make sure the encoder can play the media continuously and repeat it as intended. The YouTube documentation establishes encoder streaming as a broadcast method; it does not describe a native Live Control Room control that turns a viewer playlist into the stream source.
- Check the feed in the live workflow before relying on it. Confirm that video and audio are reaching the broadcast as expected, and that the repeat behavior works in your encoder or playout setup.
Clear music rights before going live
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it identifies such content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the creator. If the content remains, the broadcast may be temporarily interrupted or terminated. For licensed third-party material, YouTube instructs creators to ask the rights owner to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license alone may not prevent interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

- Do not assume that crediting an artist or label gives you permission to broadcast a song.
- Do not assume that buying or downloading a track grants live-stream rights.
- Confirm that the permission covers the particular music, channel and live-stream use, and ask about Content ID allowlisting where applicable.
