Switch the phone off and unplug its charger before opening the battery cover. The exact cover-release method depends on the Doro model: the steps below use the Doro 7080 as an example, not as a universal design. Check your phone’s model number and matching manual before opening it.
1. Find your Doro model and its manual
Look for the model number on the phone or its packaging, then use Doro’s support page to find the matching manual. If the cover does not release as the manual describes, stop rather than forcing it; the cover mechanism may differ between models.

2. Switch off and unplug the phone
Turn the phone off and disconnect the charger before removing the battery cover. Doro’s English Doro 7080 User Manual, version 3.0, gives this instruction before the cover is removed.

Follow the cover-opening instructions for your exact model. For the Doro 7080, Doro warns users to take care not to injure their fingernails and not to bend or twist the cover excessively, as that could damage it. Do not assume another Doro flip phone releases in the same way.

4. Take out or reseat the battery
Once the cover is off, remove the battery as your model’s manual directs. On the Doro 7080, the SIM and memory card holders are inside the battery compartment; its manual describes installing the battery by sliding it into the compartment before replacing the back cover.
If you are reseating it to troubleshoot
Doro’s general removable-battery troubleshooting advice is to take the battery out, wait a few minutes, put it back in, and start the phone. Use the exact model’s manual for how to remove and reinstall it.

5. Match a replacement battery to the exact model
If you are replacing the battery, check the designation printed on the original battery label and confirm it against Doro’s battery FAQ. Doro lists DBX-1350A/DBX-1350B for the Doro 7030 and 7080, and DBAA-1000A for the Doro 5860, 6820, 6880, 1880, 2820, 2880 and 7000H. These pairings do not establish compatibility with unlisted models. Doro recommends using the supplied battery; contact Doro support if you are unsure which designation fits your phone.
