One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchThe correct removal route depends on who controls the TikTok post and why it should disappear. Delete your own post from its More options (…) → Delete menu. For somebody else’s post, report a specific Community Guidelines concern; use TikTok’s intellectual-property process only when you own the copyrighted work or are authorized to act for its owner. If a deleted TikTok page still appears in Google, request a refresh of outdated content. A live result that exposes qualifying private information requires Google’s narrower policy-removal process. For Bing or Copilot, use the Content Removal Tool only for a genuinely broken URL. None of these search requests deletes the source page or copies hosted elsewhere.
Choose the route before you submit anything
Copy the exact TikTok video URL first. Then establish whether you own the account, whether the post violates a platform rule, whether it uses your copyrighted work, and whether the search result points to a page that is still live. Those facts determine which service can act.

Delete a TikTok video you posted
Only an account holder with access to the post can use TikTok’s direct delete control. The labels below reflect TikTok Support’s documented flow; app versions and operating systems can place the controls slightly differently.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Open TikTok and go to the video you want to remove.
- Tap More options (…) beside the post’s sharing controls.
- Tap Delete and confirm when TikTok asks.
The post should no longer be available through your ordinary TikTok profile after deletion. Save any copy you are entitled to keep before deleting if you may need it for an appeal, a copyright record, or your own archive. The documented process does not establish that TikTok will create a separate backup for you.

Understand the 30-day deletion window
TikTok Support states: “When you delete a post, it remains in our system for up to 30 days before being permanently deleted.” That is a platform policy duration, not a promise that every search index will update within 30 days. During this period, TikTok documents a recovery option at Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Activity center → Recently deleted.
- Open your profile and tap the menu button.
- Choose Settings and privacy.
- Open Activity center, then Recently deleted.
- Select the post and choose the restore control if you want it back.
Restoring a post also restores its associated likes and comments, according to TikTok’s help guidance. Check Recently deleted promptly if you removed a video by mistake; after the stated window, TikTok says permanent deletion occurs and the in-app recovery route is no longer available.
Deleting is not the same as making a video private
A privacy change can limit who sees a post, but it is not the deletion action described above. If your goal is to remove the post from TikTok and eventually from TikTok’s systems, use Delete. If you only need to pause public visibility while deciding what to do, use the account’s available privacy controls and verify the audience setting separately.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Report somebody else’s TikTok video for a rules violation
Use TikTok’s reporting flow when you believe the post violates a Community Guidelines rule, such as a prohibited form of harassment, dangerous activity, or another category TikTok identifies in its report menu. Reporting asks TikTok to review the material; it is not a general “remove this because I do not like it” button.
Report in the TikTok app
- Open the video.
- Tap Share. On some screens, you can instead press and hold the post.
- Choose Report.
- Select the reason that best describes the suspected violation.
- Choose a prompted subtopic if TikTok asks for one.
- Submit the report and keep any confirmation or case information shown.
Choose the most specific truthful reason. A report that identifies the relevant conduct gives TikTok a clearer basis for review than a report that simply says the post is unwanted. Do not select a copyright reason unless you are using the intellectual-property process described below.
Report from TikTok on the web
On the web version, open the video, select More options, choose Report, and complete the reason and subtopic prompts. The web and app menus can change, so look for the equivalent report control if the wording differs.
What happens after a report
TikTok reviews the alleged violation under its policies. The available material does not establish a universal review time or a guaranteed removal outcome. A report can be declined when the post does not violate the cited rule, even if it is embarrassing, inaccurate, or personally upsetting. Keep evidence of the post’s URL, account name, date, and the conduct you reported in case TikTok requests clarification.

Use the copyright process only for your work
If somebody reposted your copyrighted video, TikTok provides a separate intellectual-property route. It is for the copyright owner or an authorized representative, not a general mechanism for removing any video that mentions you or resembles your ideas.
Submit an in-app intellectual-property report
- Open the allegedly infringing video and tap Share.
- Choose Report.
- Select Counterfeits and intellectual property.
- Choose Intellectual property violation.
- Complete the requested ownership, contact, URL, and supporting-information fields.
TikTok also accepts an infringement report through its online form. Use the form or in-app route that is available in your region and provide complete, accurate information. Documentation should show that you own the work or are authorized to act for the owner. Do not exaggerate your claim or submit another person’s work as your own.
Possible outcomes and the appeal path
TikTok reviews the submission and may contact the filer for missing information. If it determines that the content violates its intellectual-property policy, it removes the content and notifies both parties. A creator whose video was removed can appeal through the in-app notification and provide evidence that the removal was incorrect. That appeal possibility is why a copyright report should be limited to a genuine ownership claim supported by records.
Prepare the information every request needs
Before filing a platform or search request, create a short record. It reduces errors and helps you choose the right procedure.
Recommended Free Tools
- Exact URL: Copy the full TikTok post URL and each search-result URL. Do not rely on a shortened share link if the form asks for the result address.
- Account and creator: Note the TikTok username, display name, and whether you control the account.
- Reason: Write the specific Community Guidelines concern, copyright ownership basis, stale-page condition, or qualifying privacy exposure.
- Evidence: Keep screenshots showing the post or result, the date observed, and the information you say is problematic. For copyright, retain ownership or authorization records.
- Search details: Record the exact query that produced the result, especially when asking for a privacy-based Google review.
Redact unnecessary sensitive information from files you upload. Supply enough evidence to establish the claim without exposing additional personal data.
Refresh a deleted TikTok result in Google
Google’s Refresh outdated content request is designed for a result whose source page no longer exists or has changed substantially. It updates Google’s listing; it does not take down the TikTok page, remove reposts, or erase a cached copy held elsewhere.
When the outdated-content request fits
- The TikTok video has actually been deleted or the page now returns a dead link.
- The indexed snippet or preview contains information that the live page no longer contains.
- The page has changed materially and Google is still showing the old version.
Open Google’s outdated-content request while signed into the account you want to use, submit the exact result URL, and follow the verification prompts. Explain that the source is gone or materially changed. Use the result URL shown by Google rather than a general TikTok profile URL.

When not to use it
Do not use the outdated-content tool merely because a live video is objectionable, harmful, or embarrassing. Google directs live-result disputes to an applicable policy or legal-removal process instead. If the source is still accessible and unchanged, an outdated-content request is unlikely to address the underlying problem.
Request Google removal for qualifying private information
Google has a separate policy process for specified personal information and qualifying doxxing. This can remove a result from Google Search while the underlying TikTok page remains online. Google may also limit removal to searches containing your name or another identifier instead of hiding the result for every query.
What to submit
- Open Google’s personal-information or doxxing removal request.
- Provide the exact Search result URL or URLs.
- Identify the information exposed and where it appears on the page.
- Describe how the information meets the policy category.
- Provide the search terms or identifiers for which you want the result considered, if the form requests them.
- Submit any requested verification and evidence.
Google considers eligibility and public-interest factors. A page can remain searchable when the information does not fit the listed categories or when public-interest considerations outweigh removal. The reviewed guidance does not establish a general right to remove every live TikTok result that a person finds harmful.
Search removal versus source removal
Google Search Help explains: “Google can only remove things from Google Search results.” The TikTok page may remain reachable through its direct URL, TikTok’s own search, another search engine, screenshots, or reposts. Contact the source owner or use TikTok’s applicable process if you need the material removed at its origin.
Handle a stale result in Bing or Copilot
Microsoft distinguishes between a live page and a broken link. If the TikTok URL still opens, the durable remedy is to ask the site owner—in this case, TikTok or the account owner—to remove or change the content. A search index cannot delete a page it does not control.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Submit a broken-link request
- Confirm that the exact TikTok URL no longer loads or that the content referenced by the result has disappeared.
- Open Bing’s Content Removal Tool.
- Submit the broken result URL and the information requested by Microsoft.
- Explain that the result is stale because the source is gone or materially changed.
Microsoft describes this as a way to request an expedited results update. It does not delete the TikTok source, remove other copies, or guarantee that Bing will accept the request. Copilot experiences that rely on Bing’s index can also take time to reflect a change.
A complete removal workflow
Use this sequence when a video and its search listings both need attention.

- Capture the URLs. Copy the TikTok post URL, the Google result URL, and any Bing result URL. Save screenshots and note the date.
- Identify control. If you own the account, delete the post. If another person owns it, decide whether the issue is a Community Guidelines violation, a qualifying copyright claim, or a search-policy matter.
- Take source action first. TikTok deletion, a valid Community Guidelines report, or a valid intellectual-property report addresses the platform copy. A search request alone does not.
- Wait for the source state to be true. Use an outdated-content request only after the page is gone or materially changed. Do not describe a live page as deleted.
- Choose the search process. Use Google’s outdated-content route for a stale page, Google’s policy route for qualifying private information on a live page, or Bing’s Content Removal Tool for a genuinely broken Bing/Copilot result.
- Recheck each URL. Search the exact query again and open the direct link. A result can disappear from one query while remaining visible for another, and one search engine can update before another.
No universal completion time or acceptance rate is published in the guidance covered here. Avoid promising that a result will vanish on a particular date.

The Delete option is missing
Confirm that you are signed into the account that posted the video and that you opened the post itself rather than a repost or duet. If the account is managed by someone else, only that account’s authorized user can use the direct delete control.
The video was deleted but Google still shows it
Open the result. If the page is dead or its content has changed, submit Google’s outdated-content refresh with the exact result URL. If the page still plays, source removal has not occurred; pursue TikTok action or an eligible Google policy/legal process instead.
A report was rejected
Review whether the selected reason accurately matches a Community Guidelines category. A report is not a popularity or privacy preference vote. If the issue is actually copyright ownership, use the intellectual-property route and provide the required proof rather than repeatedly submitting a general report.
The search result contains private information but the page is live
Use Google’s personal-information or qualifying-doxxing request, not the outdated-content tool. Submit the result URL, identify the exact exposed information, and expect Google to assess policy eligibility and public interest.
Bing still displays a removed TikTok URL
Verify that the URL is truly broken. If it is, submit it through Bing’s Content Removal Tool. If it still opens, ask TikTok or the account owner to remove it; a Bing index request cannot substitute for source-side action.
The post is copied to other websites
Removing the TikTok source or a single search result does not remove downloads, screenshots, embeds, or reposts. Each copy needs its own platform, copyright, privacy, or legal route, depending on who controls it and why it is unlawful or policy-violating.
Best Value
What these requests cannot promise
- Deleting a TikTok post does not instantly purge every search index.
- Reporting someone else’s video does not guarantee that TikTok will remove it.
- A copyright complaint is not available to a person who merely appears in a video without owning the relevant copyright.
- Google and Bing can change their own results, not the underlying TikTok page.
- A search removal can be query-limited, partial, denied, or delayed.
- No reviewed source provides a universal turnaround time.
Keep the process defensible
Use truthful descriptions, submit only URLs you can identify, and keep confirmation messages. If you are the copyright owner, retain the original file, creation records, registration or licensing documents where applicable, and proof of authorization for any representative. If you are reporting a safety or policy issue, describe the conduct and location in the video without adding speculation. If the material involves an immediate threat, exploitation, or criminal conduct, preserve evidence and consider contacting the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service in your jurisdiction in addition to platform reporting.
Interface labels can change. TikTok’s deletion and reporting instructions summarized here were available in official indexed help excerpts, while Google and Bing guidance was available from their direct help pages, checked on October 11, 2026. Verify the current labels and eligibility questions when you file.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does deleting the TikTok app delete my videos?
No. Removing the app from a phone does not perform the post-level Delete action. Sign in to TikTok, open the video, choose More options (…) and then Delete.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can I restore a TikTok video after deleting it?
TikTok documents a Recently deleted area for up to 30 days after deletion. Restoring during that period also restores associated likes and comments; after the stated window, the documented recovery route ends.
Should I submit the same removal request to every search engine?
Yes, when the result appears in more than one index. Google’s request changes Google Search, while Bing’s Content Removal Tool addresses Bing results and related experiences; neither controls the other or the TikTok source.
Will removing a Google result stop people who already have the TikTok link from viewing it?
No. Search-result removal affects discovery through Google. A person with a working direct URL, or access through TikTok or another search engine, may still reach the source unless TikTok or its owner removes it.
