Find your monitor’s exact model code, open its matching manual, then remove the stand using only the release steps shown there. Before turning the display face-down, unplug it and prepare a stable, padded surface; do not press on the screen.
Why you need the exact model’s instructions
Samsung uses different stand mechanisms across models. Some instructions describe pulling the stand neck free; others call for pressing a release button and lifting, or removing screws first. A procedure that works for one series may not fit another.

Samsung’s service guidance says, “The stand assembly (installation) method differs by monitor model.” Its examples make the variation clear: the S60A, S60UA, S65UA, S80A, S80UA, and S80PB models use a button-and-lift method, while the S70A instructions specify removing two screws before lifting the stand. Read the model code on the monitor’s label or find it in the monitor’s product information.

Search for that exact code on Samsung Support, then open the matching user manual. Samsung’s guidance explains how to search by model code and locate the User Manual; the support page provides model-specific downloads.

In the manual, find the stand-removal instructions and check whether they specify a release button, a pull-off connection, screws, or another operation. Follow that model’s sequence rather than relying on a general video or instructions for a similar-looking monitor.
Prepare the monitor before removing the stand

Turn off the monitor and unplug it. Disconnect the stand base as part of the preparation for mounting, as directed in Samsung’s wall-mount guide.

Clear a stable, flat work area and cover it with the protective foam supplied with the monitor, if available. Samsung’s example manual also names a thick mat as an alternative.

Place the monitor screen-down only as the model manual directs. Hold it at the edges or lower corners where instructed, and keep the display supported evenly.

Do not push down on the screen or curved panel. Samsung warns: “Do not press down on the product. There is a risk of damaging the product.”
Samsung’s example manual shows the monitor on supplied foam or a thick mat and warns against pressure on the display. Its service guidance also depicts the product face-down on a protected, flat surface. Consult the example user manual for the model-specific handling details.
Remove the stand using the documented release
With the display protected, carry out only the release operation described in your manual. The following are examples of how Samsung instructions differ—not interchangeable steps:

Pull-off neck: One Samsung manual example says to hold the product and pull the stand neck to detach it, then pull the neck from the base.

Button and lift: The S-Series service manual describes raising a stand button and lifting the stand for the S60A, S60UA, S65UA, S80A, S80UA, and S80PB.

Screws and lift: For the S70A, that manual specifies removing two screws before lifting the stand.

If the stand does not move after you perform the documented release, stop and recheck the model code and manual. Do not pry, twist, or apply extra force to overcome an unclear mechanism. Samsung’s service guidance says to consult the manual when its illustrated process does not match the monitor.

Check mount compatibility before buying hardware
If you are removing the stand to install a wall mount or monitor arm, verify compatibility for the exact model first. Samsung says most of its monitors are VESA compatible, but the model manual controls the requirements; that does not mean every Samsung monitor fits every mount. Use Samsung’s mounting guidance and the monitor’s manual to confirm the details.

VESA pattern: Confirm the hole pattern specified for the monitor and whether the mounting holes are exposed once the stand is off.

Screws: Check the required screw size and length in the monitor manual and the mount’s instructions. Do not assume screws included with a mount are suitable.

Mount capacity and fit: Check the arm or wall mount’s size and weight limits, and whether its installation suits your desk or wall.

If the manual or mechanism does not match

You cannot find the manual: Recheck the model code and search Samsung Support using the full code rather than a broad series name.

The pictured stand looks different: Stop before removing screws or pulling on the stand. Samsung’s service guidance notes that models differ and directs owners to the manual when the illustrated process does not match.

The stand resists the stated release: Stop rather than increasing force. Reconfirm the exact model and release sequence before trying again.

You are uncertain about mount hardware: Do not guess at the VESA pattern or screw requirements; check the model manual and mount instructions before proceeding.
