New LINEマンガ users can receive up to ¥2,000 in coins; existing users receive a ¥1,000 code.
Who can claim the Galaxy Z Fold8 manga benefit?
Samsung Japan’s promotion is for newly purchased Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra devices bought through eligible Japanese sales channels. Qualifying channels include Japanese carrier shops and their online stores, electronics retailers, EC shops, Samsung’s Japanese online shop, Galaxy Harajuku, and Galaxy Studio Osaka.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
The device must be a domestic Japanese unit. Used devices and parallel-import models are excluded. Japan residency is required, and each eligible device can receive the promotion only once.

Samsung uses the device’s initial setup date when determining purchase eligibility. The campaign purchase period is October 15, 2026, at 00:00 through February 28, 2027, at 23:59 Japan time. Keep the purchase record and the device’s setup information until the code has been credited successfully.

How the amount depends on your LINEマンガ account
| LINEマンガ status | Benefit | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| New LINEマンガ user | Up to ¥2,000 in LINEマンガ coins | A free LINE account and first-time LINEマンガ eligibility |
| Existing LINEマンガ user | ¥1,000 in LINEマンガ coins | A free LINE account and an eligible Galaxy device |
The campaign materials distinguish new and existing LINEマンガ users; they do not describe a way to convert an existing account into a new-user account. Use the account you intend to keep, because a benefit code is single-use and cannot be transferred.
Important dates and the two validity limits
| Event | Date and time |
|---|---|
| Eligible purchase and initial setup period | October 15, 2026, 00:00–February 28, 2027, 23:59 |
| Period to receive the benefit code | October 15, 2026, 00:00–March 14, 2027, 23:59 |
| Samsung’s stated coin exchange/use period | October 15, 2026, 00:00–October 15, 2027, 23:59 |
| Coin validity after credit | 30 days from the time the code is entered and the coins are credited |
The 30-day rule comes from Samsung Newsroom Japan’s campaign announcement: once you enter the benefit code and the coins are granted, the coins expire after 30 days. The broader October 15, 2027 date is the campaign’s stated exchange/use deadline, but it does not extend an individual coin balance beyond its own 30-day period. Enter the code by March 14, 2027, and check the expiration shown in LINEマンガ after crediting.
The promotion is first-come, first-served. Samsung may stop it when the planned quantity is exhausted and may change the dates or contents without notice. A purchase made during the listed period therefore does not guarantee that codes will remain available until the final date.

Step-by-step: redeem the code
1. Buy and initially set up the eligible phone
Purchase a new domestic Galaxy Z Fold8 or Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra through one of the eligible Japanese channels. Complete the phone’s initial setup during the campaign’s purchase period. The setup date is the date Samsung uses for eligibility, so do not rely only on the order date shown by a retailer.

- Confirm that the model is a Japanese domestic unit, not a parallel import.
- Keep the receipt, order confirmation, or carrier purchase record.
- Make sure you can sign in to a Samsung account before opening Samsung Members.
2. Sign in to Samsung Members
Open the preinstalled Samsung Members app on the eligible phone and sign in with a Samsung account. The campaign benefit is delivered through this app; signing in only to LINE or to a carrier account is not enough.
3. Open the Benefits area
In Samsung Members, open 「特典」 (Benefits). Find and tap the campaign banner for the Galaxy Z Fold8 promotion. The banner is where Samsung makes the downloadable benefit code available.
4. Download the benefit code
Use the banner’s download action to obtain the code. Save it temporarily in a secure place or leave the Samsung Members screen available while you switch to LINEマンガ. Do not share the code: Samsung’s published statement says, “特典コードは1つにつき1回限りご利用いただけます。” Each benefit code can be used only once.
5. Enter the code in LINEマンガ
Open or install the LINEマンガ app, sign in to the free LINE account you want to use, and follow this Japanese menu path:
- Tap 「マイメニュー」 (My Menu).
- Tap 「特典コード」 (Benefit code).
- Enter the code downloaded from Samsung Members.
- Submit the code and wait for the coins to be credited to the account.
Check the account name before submitting. A successful submission consumes the code, and the campaign benefit cannot be transferred to another user.
6. Confirm the credit and its expiration
After submission, verify that the promotional coins appear in LINEマンガ. Record the date of credit and use the coins within the 30-day validity period stated by Samsung Newsroom Japan. If LINEマンガ displays a more specific expiration timestamp, treat that in-app date as the operational deadline.

What to do if the Samsung Members banner is missing
Samsung says to wait approximately one week and try again if the campaign banner is not visible or an error appears. This delay can occur after the phone’s initial setup, so an immediate absence does not by itself prove that the device is ineligible.
- Confirm that you are using the Samsung Members app on the eligible Galaxy phone.
- Check that Samsung Members is signed in to a Samsung account.
- Reopen the 「特典」 section after the one-week waiting period.
- Compare the device model and initial setup date with the campaign requirements.
- If the banner remains unavailable, contact Samsung support with your purchase record and device details before the March 14, 2027 code-receipt deadline.
Do not attempt to obtain a replacement code from another person. Codes are single-use, non-transferable, and tied to the promotion’s eligibility controls.
Common mistakes that prevent redemption
Using an excluded device
A used Galaxy phone or a parallel-import unit does not qualify, even if its hardware resembles the Japanese model. The offer is limited to newly purchased domestic units through the listed Japanese channels.
Missing the setup-date requirement
Samsung evaluates the phone’s initial setup date for eligibility. If you bought the phone near the end of the purchase period, complete setup by February 28, 2027, at 23:59 Japan time and retain evidence of the setup and purchase.
Waiting past the code-receipt deadline
The benefit-code receipt period ends March 14, 2027, at 23:59. This is earlier than the October 15, 2027 campaign exchange/use endpoint, so postponing the Samsung Members step can forfeit the benefit.

Confusing coins with a general LINE account balance
The promotion grants LINEマンガ coins through the benefit-code menu. It is not a cash rebate, carrier credit, or transferable coupon. Enter the code inside LINEマンガ at 「マイメニュー」→「特典コード」.
Entering the code in the wrong account
New-user and existing-user values differ, and the code is consumed once submitted. Sign in to the intended LINE account before entering it; support may not be able to move credited coins afterward.
Assuming the coins last until the campaign end
The campaign announcement states a 30-day validity period after credit. The October 15, 2027 date is not a promise that every credited balance remains usable until that day.

Phone set up early in the campaign
If an eligible phone is initially set up during the first weeks of the campaign, retrieve the code as soon as the Samsung Members banner appears. Once the coins are credited, count 30 days from that credit event rather than from the purchase date.
Phone purchased near the end of February 2027
A phone bought and initially set up on February 28, 2027, may still meet the purchase-period cutoff, but the code must still be obtained by March 14, 2027, at 23:59. Because Samsung advises waiting about one week when the banner is missing, start checking Samsung Members promptly instead of waiting until the final day.
Code credited close to the campaign’s final exchange date
If a code is credited late in the campaign, the individual 30-day validity rule still governs the coins. Use the balance according to the expiration shown after crediting, even if that date is earlier than October 15, 2027.

Do not confuse this promotion with Samsung’s separate X giveaway
Samsung also announced a separate promotion on X. That giveaway offers one Galaxy Z Fold8 and a Clear Magnet Case to one winner, plus LINEマンガ codes to 300 winners. It is a giveaway, not a required purchase accessory and not a step in the Samsung Members redemption process.
You do not need the Clear Magnet Case to claim the Galaxy Z Fold8 purchase benefit. The purchase promotion and the X giveaway have separate eligibility and participation rules.
What the campaign says about LINEマンガ
LINEマンガ says its domestic service began in 2013 and describes itself as having the highest cumulative domestic manga-app downloads for the Sensor Tower period from January 2014 through July 2026. The campaign announcement does not publish an absolute download count. That background does not change the redemption process: the code is entered in the LINEマンガ app, not on a carrier or Samsung checkout page.
