If Facebook says your account is disabled, start with the exact notice shown when you try to log in and the email explaining the decision. Follow the route attached to that notice: suspected hacking, a password or login problem, a policy disablement, an identity check, and a content appeal are different cases. There is no single appeal form or guaranteed reinstatement route for every suspension.
First, identify what happened
Read the login message carefully and check the email address associated with your account for a notice from Facebook. Note whether Facebook describes a disabled account, asks you to confirm your identity, or whether you simply cannot log in. If the account may have been taken over, treat it as a security problem rather than assuming the disablement is a policy decision.

If you think your account was hacked
Go to facebook.com/hacked from a phone, computer, or browser you have used to log in to Facebook before. Meta recommends a previously used device for this recovery route. Follow the prompts to secure the account and check or correct account details if Facebook offers those steps.

If Facebook’s notice instead identifies a policy decision, use the appeal instructions attached to that decision. A hacked-account recovery flow and a policy appeal address different problems.
If you cannot log in or reach your recovery email or phone
If you still receive messages at the email address or phone number on the account, try Facebook’s password-reset or account-recovery flow and use the verification code or link it provides. If you no longer control either contact method, use Facebook’s separate guidance for recovering an account when you cannot access your registered email or phone; do not keep repeating a reset to an inbox or number you cannot use.

Successful password recovery resolves access problems, but it does not overturn a separate disablement decision. If Facebook displays a disabled-account notice after you recover access, follow the appeal instructions for that decision.
If Facebook says your account is disabled
When Facebook displays an appeal option, follow the on-screen instructions and answer the requested questions accurately. Facebook’s published guidance for accounts disabled in connection with a copyright report says to log in and follow those appeal instructions. That is a copyright-specific example; the cited guidance does not establish one identical process for every suspension reason. Use the option Facebook presents for your own decision rather than an unrelated form.

Facebook says review duration can vary when additional analysis is needed in the copyright context. The available guidance does not establish a universal processing time for all appeals, so avoid assuming a fixed deadline for a response or a guaranteed outcome.

Follow the request’s instructions and make sure the document image is clear and complete. Facebook lists blur, poor lighting, missing information, screenshots or photocopies, and cropping among reasons an ID image may be rejected. Check the specific request as well, since it may tell you which document types or details are needed.

- One government ID: Facebook’s guidance says it should show your name and either your date of birth or a photo.
- Two non-government IDs: Each should show your name, and at least one should include your date of birth and/or photo.
Photograph or scan the original document in good light, keep every required edge and detail in frame, and submit it through Facebook’s own verification flow. Do not send documents to a person or service claiming it can bypass Facebook’s process.

The Oversight Board is a separate route for certain content decisions, not a general account-recovery or disabled-account form. Facebook says you must first go through its own review, and only eligible content decisions can be appealed to the Board. For an eligible decision, Facebook states the appeal window is 15 days from the decision. Check the current eligibility information and deadline in Facebook’s Oversight Board appeal guidance before relying on this option.
Avoid supposed shortcuts
Do not pay a recovery service, or trust claims of guaranteed access, special contacts, or a guaranteed appeal result. The official routes described here do not support those claims. Meta Verified support is described for creators with an active subscription; that does not establish that a subscription reverses a disablement or replaces the appeal process.
