First, check whether SmartThings offers a Change Wi-Fi network option for your washer. If it does not, reset the washer’s saved network information using the procedure for your model, then add the washer to SmartThings again and enter your current Wi-Fi password.
Try changing the network in SmartThings first
- Connect your phone to the new home Wi-Fi network and open the SmartThings app.
- Go to Devices, select the washer, open its menu and choose Settings.
- Look for Wi-Fi and then Change Wi-Fi network. Select the new network and follow the prompts to enter its password. Samsung says this in-app route requires the washer to be connected: Samsung SmartThings Wi-Fi network change instructions.
If the Wi-Fi setting or network-change option is missing, Samsung’s guidance is to reset the appliance’s network settings and reconnect it to the SmartThings account on the new network.
