Rearrange apps on the current VIZIO Home Screen
VIZIO’s tutorial, published August 12, 2025, shows this sequence:

- Open Apps.
- Select Home Screen Apps.
- Reorganize the apps into your preferred order.
- Save the arrangement.
VIZIO does not specify a universal remote-button sequence for selecting, moving, or saving apps in the tutorial, so follow the prompts shown on your TV. VIZIO says Home Screen apps can also be added or removed; apps added through the Apps menu can be moved to a preferred position. If you do not see “Home Screen Apps”
VIZIO interfaces vary by software generation. Check the menu that actually appears on your TV rather than treating older instructions as a universal path.

Older SmartCast Home
VIZIO’s 2018 SmartCast Home guidance describes scrolling to the end of the App Row and selecting Sort App Row. This is historical guidance; it is not a guaranteed current menu path. See VIZIO’s description of SmartCast Home features.
VIA Plus
On the VIA Plus models covered by VIZIO’s manual, open My Apps, highlight an app with the remote, and use the manual’s move control to reposition it. The manual also says only apps on the first page appear in the Dock. These directions apply to the documented VIA Plus models, not necessarily newer TVs. See the V.I.A. Plus manual.

When the controls still do not match
The available VIZIO guidance does not provide a complete model-number or firmware compatibility list for the current Home Screen workflow. Look up the support page or manual for your TV’s exact model if its labels differ; do not assume that a button sequence for another interface will work on yours.
