These are full-year figures, not quarterly results. Tokyu Construction’s stock overview identifies its March 31 fiscal year-end and Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market listing (code 1720).
Start with the fiscal year and reporting basis
Tokyu Construction’s fiscal year runs from April 1 through March 31. FY2026 therefore means the year ended March 31, 2026. Before comparing any figures, note whether each is consolidated or non-consolidated: consolidated statements cover the group, while non-consolidated figures cover the individual company. They are different reporting series and should not be treated as directly comparable.

What Tokyu Construction reported for FY2026
In a shareholder message, Representative Director and President Koji Hisada reported the following consolidated FY2026 results. The figures are company-reported full-year results for the year ended March 31, 2026.
#1 Best Overall
| Measure | FY2026 reported figure | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Net sales | ¥341.1 billion | Revenue recognized during the period. |
| Operating income | ¥16.3 billion | Profit from operations before non-operating and extraordinary items. |
| Profit attributable to owners of parent | ¥13.3 billion | Profit attributable to the parent company’s shareholders. |
| ROE | 12.6% | Return on equity, which the company says improved on the back of profit growth. |
Hisada said net sales reached a record, supported by domestic construction demand. He described profit as significantly exceeding the initial forecast and attributed that result to digital technology used at job sites and the rational reflection of cost fluctuations in contract prices. That is management’s explanation; the shareholder message does not independently establish how much each factor contributed.
How to tell whether profit is growing faster than sales
Sales growth shows that recognized revenue increased, but it does not by itself show that the work generated more profit. Compare profit measures and margins over the same periods and on the same reporting basis.
Rank #2
Read sales with gross profit
Gross profit is sales minus the direct costs associated with delivering the work. Gross margin—gross profit divided by sales—helps show how much of each yen of revenue remains after those costs, before corporate overhead. If sales rise but gross profit or gross margin falls, the additional revenue has not translated into stronger gross profitability.

Use those categories only for like-for-like comparisons within the reported series.
Rank #3
Track operating income and operating margin
Operating income measures profit from ordinary operations before non-operating and extraordinary items. Calculate operating margin by dividing operating income by sales. Compare its growth rate with sales growth: if operating income rises faster than sales, operating margin has expanded; if it rises more slowly, margin has contracted.
The company’s FY2025 summary reports non-consolidated net sales of ¥263,945 million and operating income of ¥6,770 million. Those figures belong to FY2025’s non-consolidated series, so do not compare them directly with FY2026 consolidated results as though they were one continuous set of figures.
Rank #4
Keep below-operating-line profit distinct
Ordinary income and profit attributable to owners of parent can move differently from operating income because of non-operating and other items. If parent-attributable profit grows, check the intervening statement lines before describing the change as an improvement in operating performance.

How to assess management’s explanation and forecasts
Hisada’s shareholder message states: “In terms of profit, results significantly exceeded our initial forecasts, driven by on-site ingenuity through the utilization of digital technology and the rational reflection of cost fluctuations in contract prices.” Treat this as management’s account of the result, not an independently established causal breakdown.
Best Value
Forecasts are estimates, not guarantees. Tokyu Construction’s disclosure policy cautions that actual results may differ from forward-looking information because of economic conditions, market trends and other factors. When evaluating a forecast, compare it with the company’s reported actual results and check whether the forecast has been revised.
Where to check the next results and build a trend
FY2026 is the full-year result described above; it should not be called the latest performance picture without checking for subsequent disclosures. The current-period quarterly figures and full-year forecast are not established here. For an up-to-date comparison, open the official IR library and locate the latest financial results release, then confirm whether a forecast has been updated.
- Open the IR library and find the most recently published financial results release.
- Check the release’s reporting period and whether its figures are consolidated or non-consolidated.
- Compare sales, gross profit, operating income, operating margin and parent-attributable profit with the corresponding period on the same basis.
- Review the forecast and any revision notice separately from reported actuals.
- Use multiple years of financial highlights, results releases and securities reports before describing a longer-term trend.
This approach separates revenue growth from profit growth, keeps operating performance distinct from below-operating-line results, and makes clear when an explanation or forecast comes from the company rather than from independently verified evidence.
