A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11Short answer: You can read a Kindle book on an XTEINK X4 Pro only when you can obtain a compatible local file that the reader opens. XTEINK documents EPUB and TXT support, but the X4 Pro is not documented as running the Kindle app, signing in to a Kindle account, or synchronizing a Kindle library. A DRM-free EPUB download for an eligible purchased title can be transferred through the XTEINK app or USB; DRM-protected purchases and borrowed Kindle Unlimited books do not have a documented, supported transfer route.
What the X4 Pro actually supports
The X4 Pro is a file-based reader, not a Kindle account client. Its detailed specifications list EPUB and TXT as document formats. The official material reviewed does not describe a Kindle app, Kindle Store access, Amazon account sign-in, or direct browsing of a Kindle library on the device. See the XTEINK X4 Pro product page and the X4 Pro FAQ for the manufacturer’s current descriptions.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
That distinction determines the whole workflow. The X4 Pro cannot fetch a book merely because it appears in your Kindle library. You first need an accessible file in a format the reader supports, then you copy that file to the reader. If the title is locked by digital-rights management (DRM), or if it is a loan that cannot be downloaded, the X4 Pro’s file transfer features do not solve the access problem.

| Question | Practical answer |
|---|---|
| Can the X4 Pro sign in to a Kindle account? | Not documented by XTEINK’s product instructions or FAQ. |
| Can it install the Kindle app? | Not documented. “Unlocked firmware” is not a promise of Android, Google Play, or support for third-party reading apps. |
| Can Send to Kindle deliver your Amazon library to it? | No. Send to Kindle is an Amazon document workflow for Kindle devices and apps, not a bridge to a separate XTEINK reader. |
| What decides whether a particular book works? | Whether you can obtain an unprotected, compatible local file—normally EPUB or TXT according to the detailed XTEINK documentation. |
| Will Kindle reading position synchronize with the X4 Pro? | No Kindle/X4 Pro synchronization is established in the official sources reviewed. |
Check the book’s access status before doing anything
“Kindle book” covers several different cases. Identify which one you have before looking for a transfer method.

1. An eligible purchased book with a DRM-free download
Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing says that, beginning January 20, 2026, verified purchasers can download EPUB or PDF files for eligible books that the publisher has made DRM-free. The option applies to qualifying purchases; it is not a universal download entitlement for every Kindle Store title. Amazon’s DRM guidance is the controlling reference for the policy and its exceptions.
If Amazon provides an EPUB download for your purchased title, that EPUB is the useful handoff to the X4 Pro. Download it from the account or title workflow Amazon makes available to you, keep the original file unchanged, and transfer it using one of the XTEINK methods below. A PDF may be available under Amazon’s policy, but XTEINK’s dated FAQ specifically tells owners whose libraries depend on PDF to confirm compatibility before ordering; do not assume that a PDF will open simply because it was downloadable.
2. A DRM-protected Kindle purchase
Amazon’s policy does not offer EPUB or PDF downloads for DRM-protected books. The sources reviewed do not establish a supported XTEINK method for opening such a title. Keep it in a Kindle app or Kindle device that supports the purchase, or ask Amazon and XTEINK whether an officially supported option exists for your specific edition.
Do not use instructions that remove or bypass DRM. That is outside the documented X4 Pro workflow, and the available evidence does not establish a lawful, supported conversion process for protected Kindle purchases.

3. Kindle Unlimited or another borrowed title
Borrowed books are a separate limitation from file format. Amazon says borrowers cannot download EPUB or PDF files for Kindle Unlimited and other borrowed titles, even when a book itself is DRM-free. A loan therefore cannot be moved to the X4 Pro through the documented file-transfer process. Read the loan in the Kindle services that provide it, or obtain a separately purchased edition if the publisher offers a compatible, DRM-free download.
Why Send to Kindle is not the answer
Amazon’s Send to Kindle and e-reader transfer help describes sending supported personal documents into Amazon’s Kindle device and app workflow. It does not make a Kindle Store purchase available to an unrelated XTEINK reader, and it does not convert a protected or borrowed title into an EPUB that the X4 Pro can open.
You can use Send to Kindle for its intended Amazon destinations, but do not expect a document sent there to appear on the X4 Pro. For the XTEINK, the supported model is the reverse: obtain a compatible local file first, then import or copy that file directly to the reader.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesConfirm the X4 Pro’s format limits
The most precise format information is in the X4 Pro FAQ, dated July 23, 2026. It lists documents as EPUB and TXT, images as JPG and BMP, and fonts as BIN and XTF. The product page contains broader format claims in some high-level sections, so treat the detailed specification and FAQ as the safer basis for a purchase or transfer decision.

| File or feature | What the detailed XTEINK information says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| EPUB | Listed document format | Use this first when an eligible Kindle title has a DRM-free EPUB download. |
| TXT | Listed document format | Works for plain-text books or documents you legally possess. |
| Not listed in the FAQ’s detailed document-format line | Confirm compatibility with XTEINK before relying on a PDF library. | |
| MOBI | Not listed in the detailed FAQ format line | Ask XTEINK about the exact file and firmware; do not assume support from a broad marketing summary. |
| PNG | Not listed in the detailed FAQ image-format line | Confirm compatibility before purchase or conversion. |
| Store-specific or DRM-protected files | Compatibility is not promised | Do not transfer protected files or attempt to bypass DRM; contact the relevant support team for an official option. |
The same FAQ explicitly advises readers whose libraries depend on PDF, MOBI, PNG, a store-specific format, or DRM-protected books to confirm compatibility with XTEINK support before ordering. That warning matters because a format name appearing in a general product-page summary may not mean that every firmware version or import path handles it.
Transfer an eligible file with the XTEINK app
Use this route when the EPUB or TXT file is already on your phone. These are the steps described in XTEINK’s product instructions and FAQ; they are not a promise that a Kindle account will sync.
- Bind the reader. Open the XTEINK companion app and bind the X4 Pro to it.
- Connect the reader to Wi-Fi. The X4 Pro needs its network connection for the app’s cloud-transfer step.
- Open the device page. In the app, choose Import and select the compatible book file stored on your phone.
- Receive the file on the reader. On the X4 Pro, open its menu and choose Cloud Sync.
- Verify the result. Check the reader’s book list for the imported EPUB or TXT file and open it. If it does not appear, use the troubleshooting checks below instead of repeatedly sending the same file.
XTEINK’s user-guide index lists the X4 Pro User Guide. Menu wording can change with firmware, so use the on-device labels shown on your current version if they differ slightly from the documented sequence.
Transfer an eligible file over USB
USB is usually the simpler choice when the book file is on a computer or when you want to avoid app-based cloud transfer.
- Connect the reader. Use a compatible USB connection between the X4 Pro and your computer.
- Choose USB Mode on the reader. Open the X4 Pro menu and select USB Mode.
- Wait for the storage to appear. The reader should become available to the computer as a storage device.
- Copy the file. Drag the compatible EPUB or TXT file to the X4 Pro’s storage.
- Finish safely. Eject the reader from the computer, disconnect it, and check the device’s library for the copied file.
Do not rename a protected Kindle package and expect that to make it readable. USB changes where a file is stored; it does not remove DRM or add support for an unlisted format.
Use the device’s hardware realistically
XTEINK lists a 4.3-inch display, 219 pixels per inch, a 1,100 mAh battery, a 16 GB microSD card included with the product, and expansion up to 256 GB on the 2026 product information. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance measurements.
| Specification | Published figure | Why it matters for Kindle files |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 4.3 inches | Compact reading area; layout and font-size choices matter more than on a larger reader. |
| Resolution | 219 PPI | Text rendering detail specified by XTEINK. |
| Included storage | 16 GB microSD card | Provides local space for compatible files; it is not required for every transfer if the device has available internal storage. |
| Expansion | Up to 256 GB | Useful for a large local library, subject to the reader’s card and firmware behavior. |
| Battery | 1,100 mAh | Published capacity, not a claim about a specific number of reading hours. |
Troubleshoot the common failure points
The book is visible in Kindle but there is no file to copy
That normally means the title is DRM-protected, borrowed, or not eligible for Amazon’s DRM-free download program. Recheck the title’s status rather than trying another transfer method. Amazon’s January 20, 2026 EPUB/PDF policy applies only to eligible DRM-free purchases and verified purchasers; it does not cover protected or borrowed books.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The file copied successfully but does not appear on the X4 Pro
- Confirm that the file is an EPUB or TXT, the two document formats identified in the detailed FAQ.
- Check that the copy completed before ejecting the reader.
- Disconnect and reopen the reader’s library so it can rescan storage.
- Try the other documented transfer path—app import and Cloud Sync if USB failed, or USB if the app failed.
- If the file is PDF, MOBI, PNG, or another format not listed in the detailed FAQ, ask XTEINK about that exact file rather than assuming the product-page summary guarantees it.
Cloud Sync does not deliver the book
- Confirm that the X4 Pro is bound in the companion app.
- Check that the reader is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Make sure the selected file is stored locally on the phone and is compatible.
- Retry from the device page using Import, then run Cloud Sync on the reader.
- If the app still cannot complete the transfer, use USB so the file moves directly from a computer to the reader.
The book opens elsewhere but not on the X4 Pro
Opening in a Kindle app proves only that the Amazon software can handle the title. It does not prove that the X4 Pro can. Check both conditions independently: the file must be accessible without a Kindle-only DRM layer, and its format must be supported by the X4 Pro. If either condition fails, there is no documented fix through ordinary copying.

You expected reading-progress synchronization
The official sources reviewed do not establish synchronization between Kindle apps or devices and the X4 Pro. Treat the X4 Pro as a separate local library. If keeping a shared position is essential, stay within the Kindle ecosystem for that title rather than assuming an imported EPUB will inherit Kindle bookmarks, highlights, or progress.
Choose the right reading workflow
| Your priority | Better fit | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Automatic access to Kindle purchases, loans, bookmarks, and account history | Kindle app or Kindle device | The X4 Pro is not documented as a Kindle-account client. |
| Reading an eligible DRM-free EPUB locally | X4 Pro | EPUB is a documented X4 Pro document format and can be imported or copied directly. |
| Reading a DRM-free TXT file | X4 Pro | TXT is also listed by XTEINK. |
| Reading a protected Kindle purchase | Kindle app or Kindle device | No supported XTEINK workflow is documented for the protected file. |
| Reading a Kindle Unlimited loan | Kindle service that supplied the loan | Amazon says borrowers cannot download EPUB/PDF files for transfer. |
| Maintaining Kindle reading-position sync | Kindle app or Kindle device | No X4 Pro synchronization support is established. |
A practical decision checklist
- Is the title a purchase rather than a loan?
- Does Amazon identify it as eligible for a DRM-free EPUB download under the policy effective January 20, 2026?
- Are you a verified purchaser of that edition?
- Is the downloaded file actually EPUB or TXT, rather than a protected package or an unlisted format?
- Have you chosen either XTEINK app import plus Cloud Sync or USB Mode?
- Have you accepted that Kindle account features and reading-progress synchronization are not documented on the X4 Pro?
If any answer is “no,” the X4 Pro is unlikely to provide the Kindle-library experience you are seeking. If every answer is “yes,” transfer the local file and test that specific title before building your library around it.
What to verify before buying
Use the detailed X4 Pro FAQ rather than relying only on a broad format graphic. Ask XTEINK about the exact extension, DRM status, and edition you intend to read when your collection depends on PDF, MOBI, PNG, a store-specific format, or any protected file. Also confirm the current firmware behavior if the answer affects a purchase, because the FAQ’s July 23, 2026 format guidance is more specific than some high-level product-page summaries.
For Amazon titles, check the individual book’s download eligibility. A Kindle logo, a listing in your library, or a successful Send to Kindle upload is not evidence that an EPUB exists for that title or that the X4 Pro can open it.
Bottom line
The XTEINK X4 Pro can be part of a Kindle-book workflow only at the local-file stage. An eligible, DRM-free purchased title with an EPUB download can be copied to the reader through the XTEINK app or USB. DRM-protected purchases, Kindle Unlimited loans, Kindle account access, and Kindle reading-progress synchronization are not documented as supported on the X4 Pro. Check the individual title’s rights status and the reader’s detailed format list before you buy or transfer anything.
