The Silver Cuirass is in the Giant Tree Zone, close to Cableway – Line 2: Terminal Stop. From that stop, search the large nest or raised branch platform for a Strongbox. The stop is the most reliable anchor because published walkthroughs describe the final approach with different root and branch landmarks.
The pickup is associated with Chapter 7. Once you locate the box, the armor’s guide-reported profile is shown below, along with a route that remains useful even when your local landmarks do not match a particular walkthrough.

Silver Cuirass location at a glance
Enter the Giant Tree Zone and make your way to Cableway – Line 2: Terminal Stop. GamingBolt and NoobFeed both place the Strongbox in a massive nest near that stop: GamingBolt’s armor-location guide and NoobFeed’s Chapter 7 armor guide use the terminal as the key reference point.
The container is not described as a ground-level chest on the main path. Look for a nest, tree shelf, or raised branch platform and inspect the Strongbox there. One route account places it on a sloped root path in the Giant Tree area, while another calls the position a western Great Tree Zone platform north of the Giant Tree: Feeding Ground camp. Those descriptions support the same broad area but do not establish a single, universally worded turn-by-turn route.

Recommended route from Cableway – Line 2: Terminal Stop
Use the following procedure as a search pattern rather than as a promise that every root or branch will appear in exactly the same order. It combines the consistent landmark with the secondary clues reported by the available walkthroughs.
- Reach the Giant Tree Zone. Progress to the section containing the cableway network and select or travel to Cableway – Line 2: Terminal Stop. NoobFeed identifies the armor as a Chapter 7 pickup, and GameFAQs lists the Silver Cuirass in its Chapter 7 Giant Tree Zone walkthrough.
- Stop at the terminal and orient yourself. Do not begin by following a random root away from the cableway. Treat the terminal as your fixed point, then survey the surrounding tree trunks, branch shelves, and elevated routes.
- Search vertically first. The strongest agreement among the location guides is that the Strongbox is in a massive nest or on a raised branch platform. Tilt the camera upward and check overhead ledges before committing to a long ground-level detour.
- Look for the nest structure. A nest is the most distinctive visual clue in the GamingBolt and NoobFeed descriptions. Circle the area around the terminal and check branch platforms that lead toward or around the nest rather than assuming the box is beside the cableway itself.
- Use the sloped-root clue if the nest is not immediately visible. Neoseeker describes a lockbox at the top of a sloped root path in the Giant Tree area. Follow root ramps that rise toward the branches, checking their upper ends for the container: Neoseeker’s Giant Tree walkthrough.
- Apply the western-platform clue as a second check. If you are using the wider Great Tree map, a separate guide places the raised tree-and-branch platform in the western Great Tree Zone, north of the Giant Tree: Feeding Ground camp. This is a corroborating direction, not a definitive coordinate, so use it to narrow your search after anchoring at the Line 2 stop: AllThings’ armor-location guide.
- Inspect the Strongbox. Once you find the nest or upper platform, interact with the Strongbox rather than looking for a loose armor pickup. The guides identify the chest’s contents as the Silver Cuirass.
- Confirm the item in your inventory. Check the armor entry after opening the box. This prevents confusing the location with another chest in the Giant Tree route, particularly if you reached the area through a different traversal path.
Why route descriptions differ
The disagreement is limited to the final approach, not the broad destination. GamingBolt and NoobFeed explicitly connect the item to the nest near Cableway – Line 2: Terminal Stop. GameFAQs confirms the chest and item in its Chapter 7 walkthrough but describes nearby traversal without repeating that exact nest-and-terminal wording: GameFAQs’ Giant Tree Zone, Chapter 7 guide.

Neoseeker’s sloped-root description and AllThings’ western-platform description can therefore be read as alternate approach clues. They are useful when the nest is hidden by camera angle or when your route enters the area from another side, but neither source supplies a map coordinate that overrides the terminal landmark. If a guide tells you to take a particular root and that root is absent from your approach, return to the cableway stop and restart the search from there.

The figures below are transcribed from game guides, not from an official developer database. GamingBolt and NoobFeed report the same core values; NoobFeed’s entry is dated August 14, 2026. AllThings also lists the same resistance, awareness, and slot profile, although its surrounding comparison text contains a defense inconsistency. The most consistently supported defense value is therefore the one shown here.

Because these are guide-transcribed in-game attributes, treat them as the best-supported published values rather than an officially verified database record. In particular, use 52 Defense as the working figure and recheck the in-game equipment screen if a later patch changes item data.
What the stat profile means for equipment decisions
A balanced defensive option
The Silver Cuirass is presented as a general-purpose armor piece: it combines a moderate defense value with two clearly specified elemental protections, a Medium awareness profile, and five Spirit Stone slots. That combination is more flexible than armor designed around only one resistance or an extreme stealth trade-off.

When poison or lightning matters
Resistance is most valuable when it matches the damage or status type you are about to face. If the next part of your route is dominated by poison pressure, the Poison resistance line is the relevant reason to equip the cuirass; if lightning is the threat, use the Lightning resistance line instead. Do not select it solely because both numbers are high on paper if another armor piece better covers the encounter you are actually entering.
How to use the five slots
Five Spirit Stone slots give you room to retain a preferred utility setup while adding protection for the current zone. No available guide establishes which individual stones are optimal, so choose them according to your build and the encounter rather than assuming the cuirass requires a fixed combination. The important decision is whether the extra slots preserve more useful effects than a competing armor piece would.

Awareness and stealth considerations
Medium Enemy Awareness signals a middle-ground profile. It is not presented as a dedicated stealth armor and is not described as a deliberately high-alert piece. If avoiding detection is your primary objective, compare the awareness label on your other armor before changing equipment; if survivability and elemental coverage are the priority, the cuirass’s two listed resistances may matter more than a small awareness difference.

Use the following decision order whenever you compare the Silver Cuirass with another piece. The published guides indicate that some stronger armor options appear later in certain lists, but they do not establish a universal ranking for every build or encounter.

Troubleshooting: the Strongbox is not where you expect
- You are searching around the wrong cableway stop. Verify that the label is Line 2: Terminal Stop in the Giant Tree Zone. The guides’ common anchor is the stop, not a generic cableway station elsewhere in the game.
- You are looking only at ground level. Pause at the terminal, raise the camera, and inspect nests, branch shelves, and upper root ramps. The item is repeatedly described as elevated.
- Your walkthrough says “sloped root,” but you see only branches. Treat the root wording as an alternate approach clue. Return to the terminal and search for the nest or raised platform before abandoning the area.
- You entered from the Feeding Ground side. The western-platform description places the clue north of the Giant Tree: Feeding Ground camp. Use that direction to orient yourself, then verify the actual container near the elevated tree structure.
- The chest is present but the item is not obvious. Open the Strongbox fully and check the armor inventory entry. The Silver Cuirass is a chest item, not a visual pickup that should remain on the ground.
- You are outside the expected story section. NoobFeed labels the pickup as Chapter 7, and GameFAQs places it in the Chapter 7 Giant Tree Zone walkthrough. If the route has not reached that chapter’s area, continue progression until the Giant Tree section is available.
- Your stats differ from a guide. The published values are guide transcriptions and not an official database verification. Compare the actual item screen in your build; a patch or regional/version difference can supersede an older guide entry.
