The official AION 2 safety notice says staff will not proactively request either credential. Treat that request as suspicious, close the conversation, and open the official NC or AION 2 support site yourself instead of using the requester’s link.
Start with the rule that stops most account takeovers
AION2 Official’s account-safety notice, dated June 17, 2026, says not to provide your account details, password, or mobile verification code to anyone. It specifically states that official personnel will not proactively ask players for passwords or verification codes. This applies even when the requester claims to be a game master, customer-support agent, moderator, payment processor, booster, or account operator. An English rendering of the notice is: “Official personnel will not proactively ask players for account passwords or verification codes.” The original Chinese wording is “官方人員不會主動向玩家索取帳號密碼或驗證碼.” Treat an unsolicited request for either item as a security incident, not as a normal support step.
If the request arrives by message, chat, email, or social media
- Do not reply with your password, one-time code, recovery information, screenshots containing credentials, or a screen-sharing session.
- Do not open the sender’s login or “verification” link. Close the message and navigate to an official NC or AION 2 address by typing it yourself or using a bookmark you created previously.
- Block or report the account on the service where the request appeared, if that service provides those controls.
- If you are worried that you already disclosed information, use the account-security and support steps later in this article from a clean, independently opened official page.
Support may need to verify ownership, but that is different from asking you to reveal an existing password or a code currently being sent to your phone. If a conversation creates urgency, threatens an immediate ban, or insists that you must use a particular link, stop and verify through an official route.

Keep credentials and verification channels under your control
Use a distinct password and change it through official settings
Do not reuse the Aion 2 password for email, Steam, social media, or another game. A password exposed in an unrelated breach can otherwise be tried against your NC account. A password manager is an optional general tool for generating and storing different passwords; no password-manager vendor is endorsed by NC in the sources available for this guide.
The official safety notice recommends changing your password periodically, but it does not specify a fixed interval. Use the password-change control in your region’s official account settings, and change the password promptly if you entered it on a suspicious page, shared it with another person, or discover it was reused elsewhere. Do not follow a password-reset link supplied by an unsolicited contact.
Never disclose a phone verification code
A phone code is an authentication secret, not proof that a support agent is legitimate. Read the number only on the official login or account-security page that you opened independently. If a code arrives when you are not signing in, do not forward it and do not approve an unexpected request; instead, open the official account settings or support portal and investigate there.
Review linked devices and verification information
The AION2 notice also recommends careful management of linked devices and verification information. Periodically inspect the account controls available for your region and login method. Remove a device you no longer recognize only through the official account interface. If a device, phone number, or verification method cannot be removed safely, use the official support route rather than experimenting with platform-link changes.

- Keep the email address and phone number used for recovery under your control.
- Check for unfamiliar devices, sessions, or linked services when the account page provides that information.
- Sign out of shared or public computers after playing, and avoid saving credentials in a browser that other people use.
- Install game and account software only from the publisher’s official distribution or support route.
Do not hand your login to third-party services
The official safety notice explicitly warns against giving account information to boosting, account-operation, and payment services. A service that promises faster progression, currency, item handling, or paid account management still has no legitimate reason to receive your password or phone code. Once another person can sign in, you may lose control of the recovery email, linked devices, or character.
The AION 2 Global Operation Policy lists phishing websites and impersonation of game masters or company employees among prohibited conduct. It also warns that bought, sold, shared, or stolen accounts may be investigated and penalized. Account sharing therefore creates both a security risk and a policy risk; a dispute with a paid intermediary does not turn an unauthorized login into an approved one.
Why “verification” services are especially dangerous
- A fake service can capture your password while displaying a convincing login screen.
- An operator can ask for the phone code immediately after triggering a real sign-in attempt.
- Sharing access can cause changes to email, devices, or platform links that make later recovery harder.
- Evidence of account sharing can complicate an investigation under the game’s rules.
Keep payment discussions and gameplay assistance separate from authentication. If a legitimate transaction requires account confirmation, complete it inside the official account or payment flow without revealing credentials to an individual intermediary.

Recognize phishing pages and impersonators
Phishing is not limited to a badly spelled email. A page can copy NC branding, use a look-alike domain, or arrive through a message that appears to quote a real support case. The safest test is how you reached the page: an unsolicited link is untrusted until you independently navigate to the official site and locate the same notice or account function there.

Bookmark the official support portal you actually use, and check the domain before entering credentials. The AION 2 Global support portal is help.plaync.com/faq/aion2global?faqNo=7153. Availability and menu labels can differ by region, so a Global support page is not automatically the correct route for every player.
Check the NC account before changing a Steam link
A Steam-link change can look like a login problem when it is actually an account-association problem. AION 2 Global support says a character and its game data remain associated with the NC account used when the character was created. Unlinking Steam and linking it to a different NC account does not move the character to that other account. The support article, dated October 1, 2026, is titled After unlinking Steam and linking a different account, I can’t see my game character.
Before unlinking or relinking
- Stop at the account-link screen; do not confirm a new link just to test whether the character appears.
- Identify the NC account that was used when the character was created. Check the account identity and email through official account pages, not through a message from another person.
- Confirm that the Steam account is being linked to that same NC account.
- If you cannot establish which NC account owns the character, open an Account/Security inquiry with official support before changing the link.
Creating or selecting another NC account will not migrate the character. If the character disappears after a link change, avoid making additional changes at random; return to the official support instructions for the relevant region.

NC’s general Security Services page describes two different services: an OTP service that uses Google Authenticator and a security-card service. The page also says SMS verification is needed to use the security services. It does not establish that every option is available for every Aion 2 region, account type, or login method.

Open your regional official account settings and use only options shown there. Do not buy a hardware authenticator or security key on the assumption that it is compatible; the reviewed NC material does not establish support for those devices with Aion 2. Enabling an option that your login path does not recognize can leave you locked out without improving protection.

NC and PLAYNC are separate account types. AION 2 Global support explains that using the same email address for both can create an account conflict that blocks access. This is an account-identity issue, not evidence that you should unlink Steam or create another game account.
Use the official Recommended Account Conflict Solutions flow, dated September 15, 2026. Follow its conflict check and email-change instructions in order. Avoid changing unrelated platform links while the conflict is unresolved, because a new link can make it harder to determine which NC account owns the character.

- Record which account type you used, the email involved, and the exact error shown.
- Do not send your password or one-time code in the inquiry.
- Open the AION 2 Global Account/Security inquiry path, or the equivalent official route for your region, from the support portal.
- Explain whether the problem began after an email change, a Steam-link change, or an unexpected sign-in.
The reviewed support material does not prove that every region and login method uses the same conflict-recovery sequence. Follow the instructions displayed for your account rather than applying a Global procedure to a different regional service.
If you think someone accessed the account
There is no single recovery checklist established for every Aion 2 region and login path. The support portal does provide an Account/Security category and an inquiry route. Use this order to reduce further exposure while you wait for the applicable instructions:
- Stop responding to the person or site that requested access. Do not provide additional codes or screenshots.
- From a device you trust, open your region’s official NC or Aion 2 account page directly.
- Change the account password through that official page if you can still sign in. Use a new password that is not used anywhere else.
- Review linked devices and verification information, and remove or correct items you do not recognize when the official interface permits it.
- Secure the email account and phone number used for recovery, because control of either can allow another password reset.
- Do not unlink or relink Steam while you are still determining which NC account owns the character.
- Open an official Account/Security inquiry and describe the suspected access, the time it occurred, and any account changes you observed. Keep the case number and correspondence, but never include the current password or an active verification code.
Recovery steps, identity checks, and available controls can vary by region and login method. The AION 2 Global support portal is the documented Global starting point; players on another regional service should use that service’s official support domain and account settings.
A practical account-security routine
Use this checklist when you first secure the account and whenever you suspect a problem:

- Credentials: Aion 2 has a unique password, and no person or third-party service receives it.
- Codes: Phone verification codes are entered only into an official page you opened for a sign-in you initiated.
- Devices: Linked devices and verification details are reviewed for unfamiliar entries.
- Links: The NC account that owns the character is confirmed before any Steam unlink or relink.
- Authentication: An OTP or security-card option is enabled only if the official regional settings show it is supported for your login path.
- Support: Suspected phishing, conflicts, and compromises are reported through an independently opened official support route.
- Policy: You do not buy, sell, share, or transfer the account, and you avoid phishing sites and impersonators.
These controls address the failure points identified in NC’s safety notice and Aion 2’s operating policy without assuming that a particular security product or recovery flow works everywhere.
