Keep the factory-installed film on the Vivo X Fold6’s inner, foldable display. vivo says the film is integral to the display and warns that removing it or applying another film may damage the screen. If it needs replacement, contact an official vivo service center. For optional added protection, consider a protector made specifically for the outer cover display, not the inner screen.
Know which screen you are protecting
The X Fold6 has two separate displays: an 8.02-inch inner main display and a 6.51-inch outer cover display, according to the vivo India E-Store. Its listing also says protective film is applied. The manufacturer’s warning about the specially designed film applies to the foldable main display; it should not be confused with optional protection for the outside cover screen.

vivo’s X Fold6 product page states: “The main display comes with a specially designed protective film. It is an integral part of the display. Do not remove it or replace it with another protective film, as doing so may damage the screen. For replacement, visit an official vivo customer service center.”
Protect the inner foldable display
Leave the supplied film in place
Do not peel off, replace, or layer another protector over the factory film on the main display yourself. vivo’s guidance is explicit: the film is specially designed for that display, and removal or replacement may damage the screen. If the film is lifting, bubbling, scratched, or otherwise damaged, ask an official vivo service center what service is available for your region and model.

Do not attempt a DIY film repair
The manufacturer directs owners to official service for replacement. Its X Fold6 guidance does not support using heat, tools, adhesives, or a do-it-yourself removal method. Avoid trying these approaches; contact vivo instead.
Consider a protector for the outer cover display
If you want an additional screen accessory, look for a Vivo X Fold6 cover-screen protector. Check that the listing names the exact X Fold6 model and identifies the cover display as the surface it fits. A cover-screen protector is not a replacement for the integral film on the inner foldable display.

Use official service, but check local terms
Service options vary by region and model. A vivo China customer-service notice dated November 10, 2022 says inner-screen film on the X Fold series required special tools and that only some centers supported the service at that time. That historical notice does not establish current X Fold6 service availability, price, or entitlement. Contact an official center in your region for current details.
