Keep the Motorola-installed protector on the Razr Ultra’s inner display, keep pressure and debris away from the folding screen, and clean it gently. Motorola warns against adding a third-party inner-screen protector; if the factory film bubbles, warps, or lifts, contact an authorized Motorola service center rather than trying to remove or replace it yourself.
Leave the factory protector in place
The inner display’s protector is designed for the phone’s folding screen. Motorola says not to use a third-party screen protector: an added film may affect touch sensitivity, make the main display unresponsive, or damage the display. Do not try to lift or remove the installed protector. If it develops bubbles, warps, or separates from the screen, contact an authorized Motorola service center about an approved replacement.

- Keep sharp or hard objects away from the flexible inner display. Do not puncture it or press hard on its middle area.
- Before folding the phone, check the display and hinge area for anything that could be trapped inside, such as a card, coin, key, or grit. An obstruction can damage the screen or stop the hinge from closing properly.
- Do not force the hinge closed. Keep the phone away from grit, which can affect the hinge or display.

Clean the screen without damaging it
For everyday cleaning
Wipe the screen with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Avoid paper towels and rough or abrasive cloths. If liquid drops land on the screen, wipe them away with a clean, dry cloth.
For disinfection
Motorola’s 2026 guidance allows gentle wiping with a cloth or wipe moistened with 70% isopropyl alcohol or a Clorox Disinfecting Wipe. Turn the phone off first and keep moisture away from the charging port, microphones, speakers, and other openings. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the screen, submerge the phone in cleaning agents, or use abrasive cleaners.
Understand the Razr Ultra’s water and dust rating
Motorola says the Razr Ultra 2026 is rated IP48 under IEC 60529 and was tested in controlled laboratory conditions for submersion in still, fresh water up to 1.5 meters deep for up to 30 minutes. That test result is not a promise that every phone will withstand those conditions in daily use: Motorola says the device is not waterproof or dustproof, and resistance can decline with wear.

The rating covers solid objects larger than 1 millimeter; Motorola still advises keeping dust away because it can shorten hinge life or damage the display. Avoid pressurized water, salt water, other liquids, prolonged exposure, and beach or pool use. Do not charge the phone while it is wet. For the prior Razr Ultra generation, consult its 2025 user guide; care and resistance details can differ between model years.

If the factory protector bubbles, warps, or separates, ask an authorized Motorola service center to assess it. Do not peel it off or install a replacement film yourself.
