Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut lets you design a sheet, print it on Cricut StickerPix media, add a laminate layer during printing, and kiss-cut each custom outline while leaving the backing sheet intact. The workflow happens in Cricut Design Space: choose a blank sticker sheet, add artwork, check the preview, load the machine-specific sheets and ink, and send the job to print.
This is different from StickerPix Print. The Print model places artwork on preset, pre-cut sticker shapes; Print + Cut is the model for custom outlines. Cricut says the two models use different materials and are not cross-compatible.

What Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut actually does
StickerPix Print + Cut combines a compact printer, a laminating step and a cutter in one workflow. Your design is printed onto a StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheet. A laminate layer is applied during printing, and the cutter then follows the sticker borders. The result is a sheet of individual stickers that can be peeled from the backing, rather than loose pieces with the backing already removed.
The cut is a kiss-cut. It penetrates the sticker material but not the backing. A die-cut, by contrast, cuts through both layers. If you want a sheet that keeps all of the stickers together until you peel them, kiss-cutting is the intended result.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Cricut also sells StickerPix Print, which prints onto shapes that have already been cut into the material. It does not create a custom contour around each design. Choose Print + Cut when the outline itself matters—for example, a character silhouette, an irregular logo, or a photo with a border. Choose Print when a preset label shape is sufficient and you only need printing.
Do not confuse this integrated process with Cricut’s separate “Print Then Cut” workflow. Print Then Cut uses a separate home printer to print ordinary media and a Cricut cutting machine to cut it. StickerPix Print + Cut uses its own printer, StickerPix media and compatible ink.
What you need before opening Design Space
The correct machine and consumables
- A Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut machine.
- StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets. These are the sheets designed for the Print + Cut model.
- The compatible StickerPix Print + Cut ink cartridge or refill specified for that model.
- A phone, tablet or computer running Cricut Design Space.
- An internet connection and Bluetooth connection for setup and operation.
Cricut warns that third-party supplies can cause clogging, print defects or machine damage. Print-model paper and Print + Cut materials are different sizes and are not interchangeable. The Print + Cut sheets are listed by Cricut as 4 × 7 inches. Cricut lists 4 × 6-inch Photo Paper as an alternate material for photos and photo cards; use the media setting intended for the material you actually load.

Supported Design Space platforms
Cricut lists Design Space support for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. Requirements and supported device versions can change, so check Cricut’s current system requirements if your phone, tablet or computer is older. Complete machine setup in Design Space, select StickerPix Print + Cut as the machine type, pair the machine over Bluetooth and follow the on-screen setup for the cartridge and tray.
Optional Photo Paper
Photo Paper is useful if the project includes photo prints or photo cards as well as stickers. It is not a substitute for StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets when you want kiss-cut stickers. Keep the two material types separate when loading the tray and selecting a project.
How to create a sticker sheet in Cricut Design Space
1. Start a blank sheet
- Open Cricut Design Space after the machine is set up and connected.
- Choose Stickers.
- Select Blank Sheet, then choose Start Designing. You can also start a new project and use Stickers → Blank Sheet → Start Designing.
You may begin with a Cricut template instead, or upload your own artwork. Template availability, Sticker Transformations and other content can vary by account, region and software version.

2. Add artwork
Use the Design Space library for images, shapes and text, or upload photos and other designs from your device. You can add a background and edit image fills with the controls available in your version of Design Space. Cricut also offers AI Create content in some versions; availability and any access requirements are not universal, so treat it as an optional design source rather than a requirement.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Build the sheet at its actual working size. Keep every element inside the white canvas area. Leaving a margin makes it easier to handle the finished sheet and avoids placing artwork where the machine cannot print or cut it.
3. Set the sticker border
On a blank sticker sheet, Cricut says: “Anything added to the Canvas will automatically become a sticker.” Each object therefore receives a border that defines the cut line. Use the Border controls to adjust the border’s size or color.
If an element should print as part of the sheet but should not receive its own sticker cut, turn off the Sticker option in the Border controls. This is useful for a background, a printed heading or decorative artwork that should remain part of the sheet rather than become a peelable sticker.
4. Arrange and resize the designs
Resize objects and move them until the sheet is filled efficiently without crowding. Overlapping designs are cut separately unless you merge them. When several elements need to become one combined sticker, select them and use Merge Sticker. Use this for a wordmark with an icon, a character with an accessory, or any composition that should peel as one piece.
Before moving on, inspect small text, narrow gaps and points on detailed artwork. Very fine features have less visual and physical margin than broad shapes. Enlarging a tiny design or simplifying its outline can make the finished sticker easier to peel and read.

5. Review the machine preview
- Select Make.
- Review the sheet preview, including the placement of every design and the border around each sticker.
- Check that the selected machine is StickerPix Print + Cut and that the material shown matches the media in the tray.
- If anything is misplaced, return to the Canvas and correct it before printing.
The preview is the last convenient point to catch an object that was accidentally left as a sticker, a design that extends beyond the printable area, or elements that should have been merged.
6. Load the machine-specific sheet
Place a StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheet into the material tray as directed by the machine’s setup prompts. Load it flat and in the orientation shown on the screen. Do not substitute StickerPix Print sheets or unrelated sticker paper. Confirm that the compatible ink cartridge is installed and has enough ink for the job.
7. Print, laminate and cut
Select Go! to send the design to the machine. StickerPix Print + Cut prints the artwork, applies its laminate layer during the printing process and kiss-cuts the outlines. Stay near the machine for the first sheet so you can pause if the material feeds incorrectly or the print begins to misalign.

8. Remove the finished sheet
When the machine reports completion, remove the sheet without bending the cut areas sharply. The backing should remain continuous while each sticker edge is cut through the top layers. Peel one sticker from an edge to confirm that the cut is complete before making a large batch.
How to get clean outlines and readable small designs
Use borders deliberately
A border gives the cutter a clear path and separates the artwork from the surrounding sheet. A narrow border preserves more of the original image; a wider border makes irregular art easier to peel and can hide small registration imperfections. The best setting depends on the artwork, so use the Canvas preview rather than assuming one border size fits every design.
Merge only what should peel together
Without merging, overlapping objects remain separate stickers even when they look like one composition on screen. Merge related elements when a single peelable unit is the goal. Leave unrelated objects separate when you want individual stickers from the same visual area.

Design for the physical peel
- Avoid extremely thin points that can lift or tear during peeling.
- Give small lettering enough height to remain legible after the border is cut.
- Leave space between neighboring stickers so their borders do not visually collide.
- Use a simple silhouette when a photo or illustration has many tiny protrusions.
These are design decisions, not extra machine settings: the cutter follows the sticker boundaries that Design Space creates.

StickerPix Print + Cut specifications and what they mean
The figures below are Cricut’s manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent laboratory measurements.
| Item | Cricut-listed information | Practical meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Print resolution | 300 DPI | Artwork should be prepared at a quality that remains sharp at the printed size. |
| Printing method | Dye-sublimation printing | The machine uses its dedicated printing system rather than a conventional desktop inkjet workflow. |
| Sticker Sheet size | 4 × 7 inches | Design within the StickerPix Print + Cut sheet area; do not assume ordinary letter-size sticker paper will fit. |
| Photo Paper size | 4 × 6 inches | Use the alternate photo media for supported photo and card projects, not as a replacement for sticker sheets. |
| Ink capacity | Up to 36 prints per cartridge | This is Cricut’s listed maximum; actual yield depends on the coverage and content of each print. |
| Sticker library | More than 1.8 million sticker images claimed on Cricut’s product page | Library size is a manufacturer content claim and does not mean every image is included with every account. |
Cricut describes the finished prints as water-, scratch- and fade-resistant and says the laminate is applied during printing. Those are manufacturer durability claims, not a guarantee of performance in every climate, handling pattern or outdoor use. Avoid treating the material as permanently weatherproof unless Cricut’s current specifications explicitly say so for your intended application.
StickerPix Print versus StickerPix Print + Cut
| Question | StickerPix Print | StickerPix Print + Cut |
|---|---|---|
| What shape does it produce? | Preset, pre-cut sticker shapes | Custom outlines generated from your design |
| Does the machine cut a new outline? | No; the material is already shaped | Yes; it kiss-cuts the printed sticker while retaining the backing |
| Which media does it use? | StickerPix Print media | StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets and compatible ink |
| Best fit | Printing onto available label shapes | Photos, logos, illustrations and other artwork needing a custom contour |
Cricut says the models’ supplies are not cross-compatible. If your project only needs a standard label shape, the Print model avoids the custom-cut step. If the outline is part of the design, Print + Cut is the appropriate choice.

The machine will not connect
- Confirm that Bluetooth is enabled on the phone, tablet or computer.
- Make sure Design Space is signed in and has internet access for setup and the current project workflow.
- In Design Space, verify that StickerPix Print + Cut is selected instead of another Cricut machine type.
- Power-cycle the machine and reconnect it from the setup flow rather than repeatedly starting a print job.
The material option or machine is missing
Check that you started from Stickers and selected Blank Sheet, then verify the selected machine. A project created for StickerPix Print may show different material choices from a Print + Cut project.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe print is misaligned with the cut
- Reload a fresh StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheet in the orientation shown by Design Space.
- Keep the sheet flat and seated correctly in the tray.
- Check that the selected material matches the loaded sheet.
- Reduce very small or highly detailed designs while diagnosing the issue.
If misalignment continues, stop using the affected sheet and follow Cricut’s current support and calibration guidance rather than substituting another paper type.

The sticker has a cut when it should be printed only
Select the object on the Canvas and turn off the Sticker option in its Border controls. A background or decorative element can otherwise become a separate sticker automatically.
Two overlapping elements peel separately
Select the elements and use Merge Sticker. Merging changes the intended peelable unit; it does not merely change the color or appearance on the Canvas.
The cartridge runs out sooner than expected
“Up to 36 prints” is Cricut’s manufacturer-listed maximum, not a guaranteed yield for every design. Large areas of solid color and photo-heavy sheets consume more ink than lightly covered designs. Keep a compatible refill available if a deadline matters.

Speed, durability and realistic expectations
Tom’s Guide reviewer Lucy Scotting reported on October 9, 2026 that she made photo stickers and Design Space template stickers with the Print + Cut model and completed a sheet in roughly two to three minutes in her test. She also noted that some small detailed designs and photos benefited from adjustments. This is one reviewer’s firsthand observation, not a guaranteed cycle time. Your result will vary with artwork, coverage, media handling and the state of the cartridge.
The laminate and Cricut’s claimed resistance to water, scratches and fading are useful for everyday handling, but they do not eliminate the need to choose an appropriate application. Test a sample if the stickers will be exposed to heavy abrasion, prolonged moisture or strong sunlight.
Bundles, cost and consumable planning
Cricut’s product page showed the following prices when accessed for this article: $299 for the Machine + Essential Bundle and $379 for the Machine + Ultimate Plus Bundle. These are volatile listings; taxes, region, promotions, stock and bundle contents can change, so check the current product page before purchasing.
Cricut listed the Essential Bundle as including the machine, an ink cartridge, 18 Sticker Sheets, 18 sheets of Photo Paper, a power adapter and a pre-installed cutting tool. Bundle contents may vary. The ongoing cost is driven by model-specific StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets and compatible ink refills, so count how many sheets you expect to make before choosing a bundle.
