To keep a PRISM Live Studio YouTube stream active after a prerecorded video finishes, make sure the outgoing scene still has content: enable a repeat option if your installed PRISM Desktop version exposes one, or arrange another persistent source or scene and rehearse the handoff. PRISM’s public media-source guide does not document a loop-at-end setting, so check the controls in your version rather than assuming a particular toggle exists. On PRISM Mobile, “KEEP” or “Keep Session” preserves a YouTube session for later resumption; it does not replay the video.
First identify what is ending
A media source and a YouTube live session are separate parts of the setup. A local video source can finish playing while the platform session has a different state. PRISM’s Desktop guide covers adding local media and playback behavior, but the reviewed guide does not specify that reaching the end of a clip ends the YouTube stream or document a loop control. - The video ends: The media item has reached its end. You need repeat playback or other content in the outgoing scene.
- The YouTube session ends: The destination live goes OffAir. Look into the transmission, device, policy, or platform state rather than assuming the clip ending caused it.
- The device stops transmitting but YouTube remains OnAir: On Mobile, PRISM’s session controls may let you keep and later resume that session. They do not loop the clip.
Keep the Desktop scene active after the clip
Check the video source’s properties
- In PRISM Desktop, identify the scene and local video media source used for the broadcast.
- Open that source’s properties and look for a loop or repeat option in the installed build. If it is available, enable it.
- Run a short rehearsal through the end of the clip. Confirm that playback repeats and that the YouTube stream continues receiving the intended content.
Do not confuse the documented playback option Restart playback when source becomes active with looping. PRISM’s guide says to uncheck that option if media sources do not autoplay in Studio Mode; it does not say that this setting repeats playback at the end of a file.
If there is no repeat control
Arrange the outgoing scene so a persistent source or another scene remains live after the video finishes. Rehearse the transition, then confirm the outgoing YouTube stream still has content. This is practical continuity advice based on the role of sources in a scene, not a documented PRISM-specific loop feature.

Use PRISM Mobile’s session controls for the right purpose
PRISM Mobile’s YouTube workflow addresses session continuity, not media playback. If device streaming ends while YouTube still shows the live as OnAir, PRISM may offer “KEEP” or “Keep Session” so you can retain the session and resume it later. PRISM’s guide says its described mobile resume feature requires more than 50 subscribers. The page does not state a publication year for that eligibility detail, so check the current app and YouTube state before relying on it. Ending Process of YouTube Streaming · Resuming YouTube Streams
Use “Keep Session” only when you want to preserve a session for later resumption. It will not restart a finished media item. To stop a broadcast intentionally, use PRISM’s End/Finish control; PRISM warns that its transmission may continue after the platform appears to have ended.

If YouTube actually goes OffAir
PRISM says it checks whether the destination live remains OnAir and stops its own streaming after confirming the destination stream has ended. Its troubleshooting guide names abnormal stream processing, policy enforcement, and platform time limits among possible causes. It also states that YouTube has no maximum stream-time limit according to its current guidance, while automatic archiving is supported only for streams under 12 hours. That archive threshold concerns saving a stream, not keeping a clip playing. PRISM’s “Stream Has Ended” guide
- Check whether YouTube’s live state is OffAir or still OnAir; this distinguishes a destination-side end from a clip reaching its end.
- If it is OffAir, check transmission stability and device processing, and review any platform policy notice or limit reported by YouTube or PRISM.
- If the live is still OnAir but the clip has stopped, return to the media source and scene-continuity checks instead of using a session-resume control as a playback fix.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep uploaded video live on YouTube without leaving a computer running, StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud. The setup is three steps: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. No computer, OBS, or home connection has to stay on. Each slot streams what you upload, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it also includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month.
