If by “Hellfire world boss” you mean Doom Lord Kazzak in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic, prepare for a short damage race: get the raid to the Throne of Kil’jaeden, have the tank establish threat immediately, assign healers to cover heavy tank damage, and tell damage dealers to use offensive cooldowns from the start. Keep players alive and make a clear plan for anyone affected by Mark of Kazzak. This guide is specific to that interpretation—not every game or version with a Hellfire area. The mechanics and numbers below are reported in a third-party guide published December 9, 2025, not confirmed Blizzard values; check them against your current version and realm.
Confirm the boss and get the raid there
The likely match for “Hellfire world boss” is Doom Lord Kazzak, located at the Throne of Kil’jaeden in Hellfire Peninsula. The guide places him at approximately 63.2, 16.0. It says normal access requires a flying mount; a Warlock can summon other raid members once a flying player has reached the location. These access details may differ by game version or realm.

Before organizing the group, confirm that you mean Kazzak in Burning Crusade Classic. Doomwalker is a different Outland world boss in Shadowmoon Valley, not another boss in Hellfire Peninsula.

Prepare gear and builds around the fight’s demands
Bring a well-geared tank, the raid’s full consumables and buffs, and enough damage to make an unusually short reported enrage window. The available guide supports those broad priorities, but it does not establish a best-in-slot list, a numeric gear threshold, named consumables, or class-by-class talent builds. Avoid treating a generic “best build” or gear score as a verified requirement for this encounter.
#1 Best Overall
For the reported Kazzak fight, use cooldowns when they can contribute to the opening damage race rather than holding them for a later phase. The guide reports a 54-second hard enrage and recommends that DPS use offensive cooldowns as soon as combat begins. Treat that timer as guide-reported, not an independently verified value for every version or realm.
Assign roles before the pull
Tanks
Have the assigned tank establish firm threat promptly and be ready for heavy incoming hits. The December 9, 2025 guide reports strikes of 7,000–15,000 damage; that is its reported range, not an official or universally current value.

Use offensive cooldowns on engagement, in line with the guide’s reported short enrage. Focus on producing damage without creating avoidable deaths near the boss.

Mana users and marked players
Brief mana-using players on Mark of Kazzak and agree on a direction to move away from the raid if targeted. The guide describes the mark as draining mana and eventually causing an explosion. It says Mages can remove it with Ice Block. Anyone marked should prioritize moving clear of the group rather than waiting for the effect to resolve among other players.
Keep deaths from undoing raid damage
The guide reports that Kazzak’s Capture Soul effect heals him for 150,000 damage when a nearby player dies. It also warns that a death outside the raid that is still near the boss may trigger the heal. Treat avoiding deaths as part of the damage plan: communicate the consequence to the whole area, not just the raid, and do not assume an ungrouped player’s death is harmless.

Use this short pre-pull checklist
- Confirm: The target is Doom Lord Kazzak in Burning Crusade Classic, and the raid is using mechanics appropriate to its realm and version.
- Arrange access: Plan for a flying mount or a Warlock summon after a flying player reaches the Throne of Kil’jaeden.
- Prepare: Bring the group’s consumables and raid buffs; make sure the tank and healers are ready for heavy opening damage.
- Assign: Identify tank and healer responsibilities, tell DPS to use cooldowns on the pull, and set a move-away direction for Mark of Kazzak.
- Warn everyone nearby: Avoid deaths close to Kazzak because the guide reports that nearby deaths heal him.
If you meant Doomwalker instead
Doomwalker is a separate Outland boss the guide places by the Black Temple entrance in Shadowmoon Valley. Do not transfer Kazzak’s positioning or cooldown advice to that fight. For Doomwalker, the guide recommends spacing at least 10 yards apart for Lightning Wrath, preparing for raid-wide nearby damage from Earthquake, and expecting an enrage as the boss drops below 20% health. It also warns that guardian-type summons can add targets for Lightning Wrath to chain between. These are guide-reported recommendations and values, not independently verified current mechanics.
