How to Prepare a Punjabi Music Playlist Video for 24/7 YouTube Streaming

To run a Punjabi music playlist on YouTube around the clock, first clear the rights to every song and recording, then prepare a looping audio-video source, send it to YouTube Live through an encoder, and monitor the broadcast. Do not assume one uninterrupted 24-hour stream will produce a complete archive: YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, and DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable.

1. Clear the music and recordings before you build the stream

Make an inventory of every track and recording in the playlist. Confirm that the permissions cover the musical works and sound recordings, live streaming, the territories where you plan to broadcast, and the intended duration and use. The requirements depend on the specific rightsholders and agreements; owning a copy, crediting an artist, or having permission to upload a song does not by itself establish permission to livestream it.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies copyrighted material, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the content; if the material remains, the broadcast may be temporarily interrupted or terminated. If you have licensed third-party music, ask the rightsholder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license does not by itself ensure automated matching will leave the stream uninterrupted. For music-channel guidance, YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor: Going live for music channels. YouTube explains live matching and allowlisting in Copyright issues with live streams.

2. Make sure the channel can go live

YouTube’s general eligibility guidance requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, and the creator must be at least 16. Check channel eligibility before preparing a long broadcast. If it is the channel’s first livestream, enable and verify live streaming well ahead of time: YouTube for Artists recommends allowing at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast.

See Get started with live streaming for YouTube’s current account requirements.

3. Prepare a playlist video that can repeat

Assemble the cleared audio tracks and the visual presentation you intend viewers to see, then load that source into an encoder workflow that supports prepared media playback. Configure repeat or loop playback in the encoder or playback tool itself, and verify it by letting the playlist reach its end during a private or otherwise controlled test. YouTube’s encoder instructions explain how to send a feed, but do not prescribe a universal repeat setting; the exact control depends on your chosen software.

  • Check the beginning and end of each item for silence, abrupt cuts, or unintended gaps.
  • Confirm the playlist order and that playback returns to the intended first item rather than stopping.
  • Use only visuals and audio that you have permission to include in this livestream.
  • Choose a workflow that supports your operating system and media, the required YouTube ingest protocol, monitoring, local recording, and recovery after power or network loss.

4. Create the YouTube broadcast and connect the encoder

  1. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and create or schedule the broadcast. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup steps.
  2. Copy the stream URL and stream key from the broadcast settings into the corresponding encoder fields. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it. YouTube describes stream settings and key handling at Manage live stream settings.
  3. Select an ingestion protocol supported by both your encoder and the YouTube setup you chose. YouTube supports encoder workflows; its HLS documentation names OBS as an encoder that supports HLS output. HLS-specific requirements include HTTPS POST/PUT, TS segments of one to four seconds, and a rolling playlist with no more than five outstanding segments. These requirements apply to HLS, not to every YouTube stream. YouTube says HLS has higher latency than RTMP-style continuous delivery. See Set up an HLS stream and Delivering Live YouTube Content via HLS.
  4. Start the encoder feed and wait for the Live Control Room preview to show the correct video and audio before making the broadcast public or starting the scheduled event.

5. Test the feed and monitor the live session

Run a test before the public broadcast. In Live Control Room, check the incoming preview, confirm the correct playlist item is playing, listen for clear and continuous audio, and inspect the video. If you are recording locally, verify that the recording is present and playable. YouTube’s streaming tips recommend testing, previewing, monitoring quality, and checking archive integrity. These checks reduce avoidable setup errors; they cannot guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 uptime.

6. Plan sessions and archives around YouTube’s 12-hour limit

YouTube says a live stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but if a stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all. Keep a local archive if you need a backup, and verify that the file is intact. YouTube also warns that DVR pause and rewind capabilities may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours.

That makes a 24/7 channel presence different from one continuous 24-hour broadcast. Plan how an operator or system will manage stream sessions, recovery, and archive continuity; the platform guidance does not prescribe one universally best rotation method or guarantee a complete VOD from a single uninterrupted stream. See Archive live streams and Turn on DVR on live streams.

7. Troubleshoot common problems

Symptom Possible cause What to check
No preview appears in Live Control Room The encoder is not sending, or the stream URL/key or protocol does not match the broadcast. Confirm the broadcast’s URL and key in the encoder, check the selected ingest protocol, and verify that the encoder is actively sending.
Video appears, but audio is missing or wrong The playlist source or encoder audio routing may be incorrect. Check the source’s audio, encoder input selection, and Live Control Room preview before starting the public broadcast.
The playlist stops at the end Repeat playback was not enabled or is not supported in the selected playback workflow. Test through the end of the playlist and confirm repeat behavior in the encoder or playback tool.
The stream is interrupted after a copyright match YouTube may have detected third-party content, including music for which the channel has a license but is not allowlisted. Stop using disputed material as directed, contact the relevant rightsholder or label/distributor, and coordinate Content ID allowlisting where appropriate.
A long livestream has no complete YouTube archive Streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Use a verified local recording as backup and plan archive continuity rather than relying on one day-long VOD.

Or let it run in the cloud

For a prepared Punjabi playlist, StreamNeo is a cloud option for keeping a YouTube channel live: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams the uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. This does not replace music-rights clearance or YouTube’s archive limitations. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
