Good Smile Company has changed stand and support-arm specifications over time, and the company cautions that some replacement stands may not attach to every figure design. Correct setup can support a pose, but Good Smile’s guidance does not guarantee that a figure will never fall.
Start with the instructions for your exact figure
Before attaching the stand, check the manual for your Nendoroid’s model and version. Manuals can specify which stand pieces to use and where to attach them; parts and stand designs are not identical across the range.

Good Smile Company says its support-arm and base specification changes are being introduced gradually, so older and newer parts may be mixed among products and rereleases. Its 2024 notice describes a revised base that is 5.3 mm thick, compared with 8 mm previously, and has eight support-arm holes rather than thirteen. The updated support arm adds a rotation axis and a slit to increase its range of motion. These are design changes, not a universal compatibility guarantee. Attach and position the stand
- Identify the parts and holes. Lay out the included base and support arm, then use the figure’s manual to confirm the attachment points. The arm may fit different holes in the base, allowing different positions.
- Insert the arm into the base. In the manuals reviewed, the support arm’s wide plug goes into the base.
- Connect the arm to the figure. The thin plug goes into the hole on the Nendoroid. Use the point and orientation shown in the model-specific instructions; do not force a plug into a hole that does not match.
- Set the pose and support position. Choose among the base holes and adjust the arm as the manual allows. Good Smile’s sources explain assembly and adjustment, but do not identify a universally safest pose or provide a tested fall-prevention method.
The plug directions and hole options are illustrated in Good Smile’s Nendoroid Nico Wakatsuki [Basic] handling instructions and Nendoroid Kotono Shiunji [Basic] handling instructions. Use them as examples of the arrangement, not as substitutes for your figure’s manual.
If the support-arm joint feels loose
Some Good Smile manuals describe adjusting support-arm tightness with a cross-head screwdriver. Make this adjustment only if your model’s instructions call for it, and tighten cautiously: Good Smile warns that overtightening can damage the arm. The Kotono Shiunji [Basic] manual states, “Overtightening screws may cause damage to the support arms. Use caution when tightening.” Check the manual’s adjustment guidance.

If a stand is broken or missing
Good Smile says it does not sell individual parts and does not offer repair service. Its support guidance names the Nendoroid Easel Stand as a possible alternative for a broken Nendoroid stand, but warns that it may not attach to some figure designs. Check the shape and connection points for your model before relying on it as a replacement.
Good Smile also describes The Simple Stand mini x4 as suitable for Nendoroid figures. The product page specifies a 3 mm pin for corresponding holes and includes additional Nendoroid attachment parts. That description does not establish that it fits every Nendoroid, so check your figure’s attachment design. What the available guidance can—and cannot—tell you
Good Smile’s instructions and support pages help identify how to assemble the included support arm, adjust certain joints, and consider replacement products. They do not publish a load rating, fall-rate statistic, universal stand-compatibility list, or comparative test establishing which stand or pose is most stable across all Nendoroid models. Treat setup and replacement as model-specific, and do not interpret any named stand as a guarantee against falls.
