Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars was released for Game Boy Advance, and the practical way to play it on a modern PC is with a GBA emulator such as mGBA and a legally obtained game image. The reviewed sources do not establish a native PC release or verify this specific game’s compatibility with mGBA, so treat emulation as a general route rather than a tested guarantee.
Play it on PC with a GBA emulator
The Fist of Mars is a single-player, turn-based tactical mecha RPG made for Game Boy Advance. mGBA describes itself as an open-source Game Boy Advance emulator, making it a relevant starting point for playing GBA software on a computer. Its official site lists version 0.10.5, released March 8, 2025, as the latest release in the version information available there: mGBA.

- Download mGBA. Visit the official mGBA website and choose the release for your operating system. The project’s listed latest version can change, so check the site for the current download and supported systems.
- Obtain a game image legally. Open a copy of the game image in the emulator. Do not assume that downloading a ROM from an unofficial site is authorized, or that owning a cartridge automatically settles the legal rules for making a copy. Copyright and copying rules vary by jurisdiction.
- Set up controls and saves. Configure a keyboard or controller in the emulator and use its save feature as appropriate. The available documentation confirms mGBA’s purpose, but does not provide a tested control layout, game-specific setup guide, performance result, or compatibility confirmation for The Fist of Mars.

Do not confuse it with The 2nd Runner – M∀RS
Konami’s PC/Steam listing is for Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner – M∀RS, a separate action game—not a PC port of The Fist of Mars. Finding M∀RS in a PC storefront does not mean that The Fist of Mars is available there. Konami’s support note that the Steam PC version of M∀RS needs an online connection for first launch and can then be played offline also applies only to that separate game: Konami’s The 2nd Runner – M∀RS page.

If you prefer not to emulate, the other route is a GBA cartridge and compatible hardware. The cartridge is a physical copy of the GBA game; current availability, seller reliability, condition, authenticity, regional availability, and prices have not been established here. Buying a cartridge also does not by itself resolve every jurisdiction’s rules on copying game data for emulator use.
