Yes, it may be possible to play Super Mario Bros. Wonder on a PC through a community Nintendo Switch emulator, but Nintendo sells the game for Switch, not PC, and this is not an officially supported way to play. The emulator route depends on compatible hardware and game and system files obtained lawfully from your own Switch. It also does not guarantee that the game will run smoothly or that Nintendo’s online features will work.
What you need to know before setting it up
Nintendo lists Super Mario Bros. Wonder as a Nintendo Switch game released on October 20, 2023. Its US product listing gives a 3.7 GB file size and supports TV, tabletop, and handheld play modes. Nintendo’s product listing describes the supported game, not a PC release.

Ryubing’s documentation describes its emulator as a fork of the discontinued Ryujinx project. Ryubing is community software; Nintendo does not support this PC setup. Its stated 8 GiB of RAM is a baseline for running the emulator, not a Wonder-specific specification or a promise of acceptable performance. Ryubing documentation
- A PC that meets the emulator project’s stated baseline, with compatible graphics support. Ryubing documents support for Vulkan and OpenGL, but the available sources do not establish which settings or hardware deliver reliable Wonder performance.
- A current emulator build obtained through Ryubing’s official project channels.
- A compatible Nintendo Switch and game and system files that you are legally entitled to use and have obtained from your own console. Ryubing’s FAQ describes these as requirements for commercial-game use.
- A controller or control setup configured in the emulator. Exact menus and steps can vary by build, so use the documentation for the version you install.
High-level setup path
Emulator interfaces change. The project documentation cited here does not establish current, build-specific button names or menu paths, so follow the documentation supplied with your chosen build rather than relying on outdated screenshots or instructions.

- The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
- Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
- Check your PC. Compare its memory and graphics support with Ryubing’s current requirements. The project’s 8 GiB RAM baseline only concerns emulator operation; it is not a recommended specification for Wonder.
- Get a build from the project’s official channels. Avoid third-party download pages that bundle modified software or make unsupported compatibility promises.
- Use only lawfully obtained files. Ryubing says commercial-game use requires a compatible Switch and legally purchased game, firmware, and keys dumped from it. Do not download unauthorized copies, firmware, or encryption keys.
- Follow the emulator’s current documentation to add your files, configure graphics, and set up controls. The sources available here do not verify a particular build’s exact interface or recommend one graphics configuration for every PC.
- Start the game and troubleshoot the specific error. If the emulator reports an out-of-device-memory crash, see the texture guidance below. Other errors may require checking the project’s current documentation and compatibility reports.
Fixing an out-of-device-memory error
Ryubing’s FAQ specifically notes that Super Mario Bros. Wonder may need texture recompression if users encounter an out-of-device-memory crash. Treat this as project troubleshooting guidance, not a guaranteed or universally necessary fix. Texture handling can use substantial graphics memory, and the sources do not establish a single setting that works across GPUs or builds. Ryubing FAQ and troubleshooting
If the error persists, consult the documentation for your build and check that your graphics setup is supported. There are no controlled, reproducible Wonder benchmarks in the cited material for particular CPUs, GPUs, frame rates, or resolutions, so a PC’s ability to launch the emulator does not establish how well it will run this game.

Compatibility is not a universal guarantee
Ryubing’s compatibility tracker sets conditions for reports: they must use official builds and cannot rely on hacks, mods, or cheats. A tracker entry is therefore meaningful only in the context of its reported build and conditions. The available sources do not establish a current, reproducible compatibility verdict for Wonder on every PC or for a specific configuration. Ryubing compatibility tracker

What to expect from online play and multiplayer
Nintendo’s listing says Wonder supports one to four players on one system and online play for one to four players; it also notes that additional accessories may be needed for multiplayer. Nintendo says online play requires internet access, a Nintendo Account, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Its support page says an update is required for internet features. These are requirements for Nintendo’s official game experience, not evidence that those services work through an emulator. Nintendo product listing · Nintendo support: internet features and updates

Nintendo’s piracy FAQ states the company’s position on intellectual property, piracy, and emulators. That is Nintendo’s policy, not a universal legal ruling on every emulator, personal copy, or configuration. Laws and exceptions differ by jurisdiction, and the cited sources do not determine whether a particular setup is lawful where you live. Ryubing likewise says it does not support piracy and describes commercial-game use in terms of a legally purchased game and files dumped from a compatible Switch. Avoid unauthorized game, firmware, and key downloads, and consult local law if you are unsure. Nintendo legal information · Ryubing FAQ
