Its two outer lanes connect through and around the shops by six routes, with the Video Store at the center. How do you play Rewind in Black Ops 6?
Call of Duty describes Rewind as a Core 6v6 map. Its layout has two major outer lanes and six options for crossing between them, while the central Video Store is a key control area and houses several objectives. In practical terms, treat the two lanes as connected routes, not separate fights: use the connectors to change sides, flank, or avoid a held sightline. That is a layout-based tactic, not a guaranteed outcome. Objective positions and routes worth using depend on the mode and match; check the in-game map or mode interface rather than assuming one fixed objective sequence.

Orient yourself by the landmarks
- Street: The north-spawn side runs across the map and has long sightlines. Parked vehicles and the Drive-Thru dumpster can break lines of sight.
- Back Alley: An RV divides the alley. It connects several important areas and can help control eastern approaches.
- Video Store: The central shop has corners, elevated angles, cover, and flank routes. The official guide says controlling the full store takes teamwork and can help lock down many situations.
- Freedom Fried Chicken Drive-Thru: This off-center position offers cover and, according to the official Intel Card, fewer enemy flanking opportunities than the Video Store.
- Salon: Another named point of interest in the map guide; use the in-game map to place it in relation to your current lane and objective.
Use the named tactical routes
The official guide calls out Courtyard Rotation — Alpha (A), “C” Street Sniper Lane — Beta (B), and Beepers/Cleaners Throughline — Gamma (Γ). Its Courtyard description identifies a main rotation connecting the Video Store, Back Alley, and Street. On Street, use vehicles and the dumpster area to interrupt long sightlines rather than crossing exposed ground unnecessarily.

Where is the B flag on Rewind?
In Domination, B is indoors at Rewind, in the Video Store area. Call of Duty’s Domination mode guide specifically suggests considering a Shotgun or SMG when fighting for this flag. That is official mode advice, not a measured claim that either weapon will outperform other choices.
The same mode guide says teams generally benefit from holding two of the three zones for most of a match. Use the current in-game objective display to confirm zone positions and adapt your route; the map guide covers Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, but objective placements are mode-specific.

What loadout should you use on Rewind?
Call of Duty’s map guide offers three map-focused starting loadouts. They are role suggestions, not proven best builds or a current meta ranking: the guide does not provide comparative performance tests, and weapon balance can change.

Choose by the fights you expect to take: the rifle for a flexible aggressive role, the SVD for longer sightlines, or the C9 setup for short-range movement. For Domination’s indoor B fight, the official mode guide’s Shotgun-or-SMG suggestion makes a close-range option worth considering, but it is not a guarantee of success.

What the map guide establishes—and what it doesn’t
The map’s six crossing options and named locations are official layout descriptions. They do not establish a win rate, weapon-use rate, average match duration, or a statistically best loadout for Rewind. The official map-focused recommendations were published in August 2024, and the multiplayer guide’s Core 6v6 classification in October 2024. Playlist rotation and current weapon balance may change; check the game for the live playlist and loadout availability.
