Petit Planet is planned as a free-to-play life-simulation game for Windows PC, iOS, and Android, with a public launch window of winter 2026. HoYoverse has not announced the exact launch day. Only some players can play before launch. The current Final Beta is invitation-only. If your HoYoverse account did not receive an invitation, downloading a listing from a supported store will not grant access.

Use the official Petit Planet or HoYoverse site and the verified store pages as your starting points. Avoid third-party installers, “open beta” links, or accounts advertised as having guaranteed access. The official HoYoLAB FAQ says beta access is restricted to one platform per HoYoverse account and is bound to the first device used.
Beta progress should be treated as temporary. The Final Beta is subject to a data wipe, so characters, items, planet development, and other progress should not be expected to carry into the launch version.
Which platforms support Petit Planet?
The announced platforms are Windows PC, iOS, and Android. The current information does not establish a console or Mac version, so do not plan around either platform unless HoYoverse makes a separate announcement.

These storage numbers describe the currently reported Final Beta builds: 18 GB on PC, 10 GB on iOS, and 12 GB on Android. They are not minimum specifications for the final release. Keep more free space than the quoted number so the installer and future updates have room to work.
How to sign up and set up your account
For the public launch
- Open an official listing. Use the Petit Planet or HoYoverse site to reach the Epic Games Store, HoYoPlay, App Store, or Google Play listing for your platform.
- Install the client after release. Pre-registration is not the same as an available game; it records your interest and can notify you when the listing goes live.
- Start the game and use your HoYoverse account. Sign in with the account you intend to keep using. The account used by the client is the one associated with your game access and progress.
- Complete any current in-client prompts. The available sources do not publish a reliable, launch-client sequence of account-creation buttons or fields. Labels may change before winter 2026, so follow the prompts shown in the current client rather than an old guide.
If you do not already have a HoYoverse account, create one through the official account flow reached from the game or HoYoverse site. Do not give your password or verification code to another person offering to “activate” the game.
For the invitation-only Final Beta
- Use the invited HoYoverse account. A different account may not be recognized as eligible, even on the same computer or phone.
- Follow the platform named in the invitation. The official FAQ states that each HoYoverse account can receive test access for only one platform.
- Use the first device carefully. Beta access is bound to the first device used. Starting on one phone and then trying to move the same beta access to another phone, or from a phone to a PC, can create an access problem.
- Keep the invitation details. If the invitation specifies a store, launcher, or device route, use that route instead of searching for a different download.
A store listing can be visible while the beta remains closed to the public. Treat the invitation and its assigned platform as the authority for test access.
Storage and installation planning
Plan for the reported beta footprint plus working room. The available figures are 18 GB for Windows PC, 10 GB for iOS, and 12 GB for Android, all identified as Final Beta measurements from PetitPlanet.dev in 2026. HoYoverse has not confirmed that these will be the final launch sizes.

- Check the drive or device before downloading. A device can show enough total capacity while lacking enough free space for extraction, installation, or an update.
- Use the platform’s official installer. On PC, that means the Epic Games Store or HoYoPlay route shown for the game. On mobile, use the App Store or Google Play listing.
- Allow for updates. A live-service game can need temporary space while replacing or unpacking files. The beta numbers should therefore be treated as a floor for planning, not a promise of the final footprint.
- Do not infer performance from storage alone. The supplied information gives free-space figures but does not establish final CPU, GPU, RAM, operating-system, or supported-device requirements.
What to do first in Petit Planet
The opening hours are most productive when you follow the main story while building the Luca Arbor and learning the basic gathering loop. The sequence below follows the beginner guide’s recommended order.
1. Follow the main story
Begin with the story objectives instead of spending the first session wandering without a goal. The opening teaches the basic systems, introduces your first Neighbors, and unlocks Starsea Voyage. Early named characters include Yunguo, Elsasani, Glenn, and Mobai.
Story tasks also provide context for why new activities become available. When a tutorial asks you to perform an activity, complete it with the tool or interaction it specifies; this establishes the routine you will use later for farming, fishing, catching bugs, beachcombing, digging, and mining.
2. Water the Luca Arbor
The Luca Arbor is the central progression tree. Feed it Luca whenever the game allows you to advance it. At level 1, the Arbor opens the Beach Area, introduces Mysterious Archiboos, and enables farming. Those unlocks make the rest of the early resource loop much more useful.

3. Gather with the correct tools
Once the first areas are available, gather materials through the activities the game teaches:
- Farm for crops and farming materials.
- Fish in fishing spots.
- Catch bugs where insects appear.
- Beachcomb along the shore for items washed up or found on the beach.
- Dig at diggable locations.
- Mine mineral deposits with the appropriate tool.
Use the activity-specific tool rather than repeatedly trying a general interaction. If an object does not respond, move close enough for the interaction prompt and confirm that you have selected the tool associated with that activity.

4. Cook before a long gathering session
Chopping, mining, and digging consume Strength. Raw food can help, but cooked dishes restore more Strength and are the practical choice when you plan to spend a longer stretch collecting materials.

5. Sail the Starsea
After Starsea Voyage is unlocked, speak with Elsasani at the dock to begin a trip. You can take up to two Neighbors with you. The Islets contain resources, puzzles, and encounters, so voyages are more than a change of scenery: they are another way to collect materials and meet activities outside your home area.
Bring a clear purpose to each voyage. If you need resources, search the Islet systematically; if the objective points to a puzzle or encounter, follow that lead before leaving. The guide does not establish a universal best pair of Neighbors, so choose from the characters available to you rather than chasing a supposed meta team.
6. Continue levelling the Arbor
Keep returning to the Luca Arbor as you acquire Luca and complete the required progression. The beginner guide reports these milestones:

The exact requirements for each level are not listed in the supplied guide, so use the in-game Arbor screen for the current Luca cost and prerequisite wording. The important planning point is that levels 4 and 5 expand the world’s environmental variety, while levels 6 through 9 each add another Neighbor slot.
How the early resource loop fits together
Petit Planet’s first activities support one another rather than functioning as isolated mini-games. Story progress introduces systems; the Luca Arbor opens places and features; gathering supplies materials; cooking converts some resources into stronger Strength recovery; and Starsea voyages extend exploration to Islets.

When deciding what to do next, use this order:
- Check the active story objective.
- Check the Luca Arbor for an available level or newly opened area.
- Gather the materials needed for the current task.
- Cook if your next activity will consume Strength.
- Take a Starsea trip when the story or your resource goals point you there.
This order keeps progression moving while still giving you time to learn each activity. It also avoids a common beginner mistake: spending all available Strength on optional digging or mining before completing a story objective that requires the same resource.

Choose Windows PC if you prefer a larger display
PC is the announced option for players who want to use a computer display and PC input. Pre-registration is listed through the Epic Games Store and HoYoPlay. The current beta storage figure is 18 GB, and the final client may require more.
Choose iOS if your Apple device has the necessary room
The App Store is the announced mobile route. The beta figure is 10 GB. Because the final supported-device list and launch size are not established here, check the live listing and your device’s compatibility information at release.
Choose Android if Google Play is your normal installation route
Google Play lists the game as a free download with in-app purchases, and the beta figure is 12 GB. Confirm that your phone or tablet has sufficient free space and appears as supported on the current listing before attempting installation.
Do not plan on playing the same beta access everywhere
The one-platform rule applies to the Final Beta, and access is bound to the first device used. A player who wants to test on both PC and phone should not assume that one invitation covers both. Follow the assigned platform and device instructions instead.
Common access and setup problems
“The store page is visible, but I cannot start the game.”
A visible listing is not proof of an open beta. Check whether you have an official invitation and whether the listing is marked as pre-registration rather than playable. Before the public launch, access can remain restricted even when the download page is searchable.

Sign out and use the account that received the beta invitation. Do not create a second account in an attempt to bypass eligibility; the invitation is associated with the original account.

“I started on another device and now access is blocked.”
The Final Beta binds access to the first device used. Stop switching devices and return to the platform and device route specified in the invitation. If the problem remains, use the official support channel rather than repeatedly reinstalling.
“The installer says there is not enough space.”
Compare your free space with the current beta figures—18 GB on PC, 10 GB on iOS, and 12 GB on Android—and leave additional room for installation and updates. If you are preparing for launch, treat those numbers as provisional because the final build may be larger.
“I expected my beta progress to remain.”
The Final Beta is subject to a data wipe. Use it to learn the controls, story flow, Arbor progression, gathering activities, cooking, and Starsea voyages, not as a guaranteed continuation of your launch account.

What is known about the game’s scope
The Google Play description presents Petit Planet as a life-simulation game centered on shaping a personal planet, meeting fuzzy Neighbors, farming, fishing, beachcombing, cooking, exploring the Starsea, and visiting the Galactic Bazaar.
