To unlock New Game+ in 007 First Light, finish the full campaign on any difficulty. You can then replay from the beginning or a completed checkpoint, use outfits you have unlocked, and swap among gadgets already unlocked at that point in the story. The October 1, 2026 Extended Operations update also unlocks the optional 00 difficulty; you can use New Game+ customization on Easy, Normal, or Hard instead.
How to unlock and start New Game+
New Game+ arrived in the free Extended Operations update, Update 1.3.0, released October 1, 2026. IO Interactive says the requirement is to complete the entire campaign on any difficulty; its announcement does not describe a shorter unlock route. - Complete the campaign on any difficulty.
- Select New Game+ in your version of the game.
- Choose a replay starting point: the campaign beginning or a checkpoint you have completed.
IOI’s official materials describe the available choices, but do not give a universal button sequence for every platform. Use the New Game+ option and the in-game journal or checkpoint menus shown in your version.

What carries over in New Game+?
IOI confirms access to unlocked outfits and gadgets, but does not publish a complete category-by-category account of what resets or persists in a New Game+ run.

- Other campaign progress: IOI does not specify the New Game+ behavior of collectibles, challenge completion, or every other progression category. Do not assume these all carry over—or all reset.

Choose a difficulty: 00 is optional
Unlocking New Game+ also unlocks 00, a considerably tougher difficulty. It is a separate challenge option, not a requirement for using New Game+ outfits or gadget customization.

Choose 00 if you want the harsher encounters; choose another difficulty if your priority is replaying with the unlocked customization. The 00 mechanics are described in IOI’s announcement.
New Game+ is not cross-progression
New Game+ changes how you replay the campaign within the game. Cross-progression is a separate IOI Account feature for sharing selected data between linked platforms. Its rules do not establish what persists inside a New Game+ run.

IOI documents cross-progression for PC (Epic, Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series S|X, and PlayStation 5. Shared data includes TacSim XP, TacSim Clearance level and inventory, campaign and TacSim challenge progress, unlocks and inventory, and IOI Account rewards. Campaign saves and campaign progression do not transfer between platforms. DLC and game licenses, collectibles, achievements or trophies, and leaderboards are also excluded; DLC-based unlocks require ownership of the relevant DLC on the platform in use.
The support page says Nintendo Switch 2 launches in March 2027 and that its cross-progression details would be provided later. IOI also warns that selecting a primary progression profile can invalidate the local save on the platform being switched from. Read the in-account warning carefully before changing profiles.
