Yes. Microsoft Jewel is available as a standalone app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and its mobile version supports Xbox Achievements. Install the app named Microsoft Jewel from your device’s app store, then sign in with a Microsoft account. An Xbox console or Game Pass subscription is not required to play or track achievements.
Get the standalone Microsoft Jewel app
- Open the Apple App Store on an iPhone or iPad, or Google Play on an Android device.
- Search for Microsoft Jewel and select the standalone game. Microsoft’s announcement links to its mobile downloads. Do not mistake it for the older Jewel mini-game in the Xbox mobile app’s Rewards area.
- Check the listing for your device and country before installing. Apple’s US App Store listing supports iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 15.0 or later or iPadOS 15.0 or later. Android availability is confirmed, but a minimum Android version is not stated in the cited listing information.
- Open the game and sign in with your Microsoft account to track Xbox Achievements. Microsoft says that account can also sync progress between the standalone mobile and PC apps.
How the game works
Microsoft Jewel is a free-to-play match-three puzzle. Match three or more jewels, fill the meter and collect Bonus Jewels. Place collected gems elsewhere on the board to set up longer matches, chain reactions and Power Jewels. These are the game’s features as described by Microsoft, not a guarantee that any particular move unlocks an achievement.

Choose a mode
- Daily Challenges: Take on a fresh goal. Microsoft’s Xbox listing describes Daily Challenges and Xbox Achievements as game features.
- Challenge Mode: Work to clear all jewels from the board.
The Xbox game listing also advertises achievements and a high-score chase.
What carries between mobile and PC
Microsoft says signing in with the same Microsoft account syncs progress across the standalone Microsoft Jewel apps for iOS, Android and PC. The PC edition is a separate way to play; the Xbox listing also advertises Xbox Achievements. The announcement establishes cross-app progress sync, but does not publish a troubleshooting procedure for a sync delay or a missing achievement.

Do you need Game Pass?
No. Game Pass is an optional enhancement, not a prerequisite for the basic game or achievement tracking. Microsoft describes Premium benefits as ad-free play and additional in-game benefits. Its September 30, 2026 announcement says Game Pass members receive those benefits on PC, while Game Pass Ultimate members receive them on both PC and mobile. Check the current terms for your region and subscription before relying on a specific benefit.
Xbox Achievements are not Microsoft Rewards points
Xbox Achievements are accomplishments associated with your Xbox profile. Microsoft Rewards is a separate program. Microsoft says Rewards activities and opportunities are updated daily and may vary by country or region; points have no cash value. No cited current source says that playing standalone Microsoft Jewel automatically awards a fixed number of Rewards points.
