Yes. Just Dance: Decades of Hits supports local play on one console, and Ubisoft advertises sessions for up to six players. Ubisoft also says a smartphone can be used as a controller, though its title page does not provide a full platform-by-platform setup guide.
What you need to play together
- A supported console with Just Dance: Decades of Hits.
- A way to control the game on that platform. Ubisoft advertises smartphone controller support for this title, but does not specify the exact phone-to-console pairing steps or hardware combinations for each platform.
- Friends ready to join the same local session. Ubisoft advertises up to six players; treat that as the stated maximum, not a guarantee that every song or controller arrangement behaves identically.
Ubisoft lists the game for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2 availability listed separately. The reviewed official materials establish same-console play, but do not identify different player limits by platform. See Ubisoft’s Decades of Hits page for its player and controller claims.

How to start a local session
- Choose a supported console that has the game available for your region, then launch Just Dance: Decades of Hits.
- Follow the controller option and instructions shown in the game for that platform. Ubisoft says a smartphone can serve as a controller, but the title page does not publish a complete pairing walkthrough; do not assume a particular menu label, phone count, or profile process.
- Have the other players join the same session using the available controller setup. Ubisoft advertises support for up to six players.
- Select a song and begin dancing once the game confirms the players or controllers it recognizes.
The first three steps describe the practical flow, not an official, title-specific menu sequence. For exact pairing instructions, use the in-game prompts or a Decades of Hits support page if Ubisoft publishes one.

For this game, Ubisoft explicitly advertises smartphone controller use. Its product information does not spell out whether the phone option works the same way on every listed console or give a complete setup procedure.

As context only, Ubisoft says the separate Just Dance 2026 Edition supports local play for up to six using Joy-Con controllers on Nintendo Switch, or the free Just Dance Controller App on other available consoles. That description is not a confirmed setup guide for Decades of Hits. The 2026 Edition’s phone-camera Camera Controller Mode is described as solo-only; it should not be treated as proof that camera tracking supports multiple players in Decades of Hits. Details are in Ubisoft’s 2026 Edition mode announcement.

Local play is not the same as online play
The official information cited here confirms local play on one console. It does not establish whether an internet connection or subscription is required for local sessions, so check the game’s platform store requirements or in-game guidance rather than assuming either way.
