Halloween: The Game has a six-chapter single-player story and online 1v4 multiplayer. Its Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers skin is announced as a paid $9.99 DLC item for October 27, 2026—not as a reward earned by completing challenges. The Halloween 5-inspired Tower Farm map is a separate free addition for game owners. As of October 7, 2026, the skin’s announced release date is still in the future.
Choose how to play
The game offers a solo story and online multiplayer. In the story, you play as Michael Myers across six chapters based on events from the original film. Optional challenges and collectibles add lore, scenarios, executions, and some multiplayer cosmetics. IllFonic’s game information describes the story and progression.

In online multiplayer, one player controls Michael and four play as the Heroes of Haddonfield. Steam lists online PvP and online co-op as supported features. The game is available digitally on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, according to the official site.

Playing as Michael
Stalk and eliminate residents. The official multiplayer overview says special targets can provide greater rewards if killed before time runs out. Killer Sense helps locate and track prey by building Stalk. Shape Jump lets Michael move unseen, but IllFonic says it can only be entered or exited in darkness or when residents are not looking at him. Playing as a Hero of Haddonfield
Find other residents, convince them that Michael is dangerous, and lead them to one of the randomized escape routes. Starting an escape makes noise and can give away your location. Residents and authorities can resist Michael; the Steam listing says players can use household items and weapons, alert authorities, and command or equip NPCs. The official descriptions explain objectives and selected mechanics, but do not provide a complete button-by-button control chart. For controls, use the in-game controls menu for your platform; prompts can vary by platform and input device.

How to get the Halloween 5 skin
IllFonic’s October 5, 2026 update announced the Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers Michael skin as paid DLC listed at $9.99, scheduled for October 27, 2026. That date had not arrived as of October 7, 2026, so the announcement does not establish that the skin is already available to buy. The update says to purchase the skin; it does not say that gameplay unlocks it. Check the official Halloween: The Game update and your platform’s store for availability.
- When it becomes available, look for the Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers skin in the store for the platform you play on.
- Purchase the DLC, then use that platform’s installation and the game’s loadout or customization flow to equip it. The October update does not give platform-specific purchase or equip steps.
Do not mistake general progression rewards for this DLC. IllFonic says players earn XP by completing story mode or matches and can unlock abilities, starting items, cosmetics, challenges, and other rewards. Its progression overview does not identify the Halloween 5 skin as an earned reward. See IllFonic’s progression information.

The free Halloween 5 map is separate
The Tower Farm map is inspired by Halloween 5 and is described by IllFonic as free for people who own the game. Unlike the paid Michael skin, it changes the multiplayer setting to a farming community with roads, cornfields, farm buildings, a trailer park, and pumpkin gardens. The announcement does not say that buying the skin is required to access the map. Details are in the official update.

The official site lists digital availability on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. It also says PS5 and Xbox Series X physical editions launched on October 6, 2026. The physical-edition information describes certain advance-access cosmetics that can also be earned through challenges, but does not say the Halloween 5 skin is included. The announcement likewise does not confirm that the skin is bundled with a base or collector’s edition. Check the official site for edition information.
