AirConsole is coming to selected Zeekr cars in Europe, but it is not a universal, immediately available feature. Zeekr announced on October 12, 2026 that the service is planned as an over-the-air update by the end of 2026. You will need a Zeekr Connected Premium subscription and a smartphone. When your car receives the feature, open AirConsole on the infotainment display, scan the QR code shown there with your phone, and use the phone as the controller. The exact eligible models, countries, software versions and rollout dates have not yet been published.
What Zeekr has actually announced
Zeekr and N-Dream, the company behind AirConsole, have announced a partnership to bring browser-style multiplayer games to selected European Zeekr vehicles. Zeekr’s October 12, 2026 announcement describes the feature as a planned over-the-air software update targeted for delivery by the end of 2026. That wording matters: it does not mean every Zeekr owner can launch AirConsole today, and it does not establish that every model sold in Europe will receive it.

The announcement identifies Zeekr Connected Premium as a prerequisite. Zeekr describes that package as an annual subscription and directs customers to the Zeekr app for the price in their market. No single Europe-wide price has been stated. The announcement also says no additional gaming hardware is required. A smartphone supplies the controller and scans the pairing QR code displayed on the car’s screen.
N-Dream’s October 13 announcement says the technology was demonstrated in a Zeekr 7GT at the Paris Motor Show. A motor-show demonstration proves that the system can run in that vehicle; it is not confirmation that the 7GT, or every other model shown at the event, is included in the customer rollout. Until Zeekr publishes a model and country list, treat compatibility as something to verify in your own vehicle rather than something to infer from the demonstration.

| Controller | A smartphone is the controller and QR-code scanner. | Zeekr has not specified a particular phone operating system or model in the announcement. |
| Extra hardware | No additional hardware is required, according to Zeekr. | A separate gamepad or accessory has not been identified as a supported requirement. |
You should also have a reliable data connection for the car and phone. AirConsole’s general setup guidance recommends that the big screen and phones share a Wi-Fi network. That is general AirConsole advice, not a published Zeekr-specific network design, so the car’s final implementation may handle connectivity differently.
How to tell whether your Zeekr has AirConsole
Do not rely on the 7GT demonstration or on another owner’s menu layout. The practical test is whether AirConsole has appeared in your vehicle’s infotainment system after the relevant update.
- Park safely and turn on the infotainment system.
- Look through the available applications or entertainment area for an AirConsole entry. Zeekr has not published a universal menu path, so the label and location may vary by model, market and software build.
- Check the vehicle’s software-update screen for an available over-the-air update. Install updates only when the car’s instructions allow it, with the vehicle in the required parked state and adequate battery charge.
- Check current local support information in the Zeekr app or through Zeekr customer support if the application is missing. Ask specifically whether AirConsole is enabled for your vehicle identification, country and software build.
If the app is absent, that is not proof that your car will never support it. Zeekr has described a staged, end-of-2026 plan and has not published all eligibility details. Conversely, an AirConsole icon in a demonstration vehicle is not proof that your privately owned car is eligible.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesGet the required Connected Premium subscription
Zeekr says Connected Premium is required for the AirConsole feature. The company describes Connected Premium as an annual subscription and says the exact price is available in the Zeekr app. Because pricing can vary by market and may change, do not use a price quoted for another country or another date as your expected cost.
Before paying, confirm three things in the app:
- That Connected Premium is offered for your specific vehicle and country.
- The subscription term and renewal conditions, since Zeekr describes it as annual.
- That AirConsole support is listed or otherwise confirmed for your car, rather than assuming the subscription alone activates it.
If the feature has not reached your model or country, buying the package may not produce an immediate AirConsole tile. The public announcement establishes the subscription requirement for supported cars, not an instant activation promise for every subscriber.

Pair your phone with the car’s AirConsole screen
Once AirConsole is visible in the infotainment system and your subscription is active, the expected Zeekr flow is short. Keep the car safely stopped while setting up, and have the phone unlocked with its camera available.
- Open AirConsole on the in-car display. Launch it from the vehicle’s infotainment system. The Zeekr announcement says the display presents a QR code.
- Scan the QR code with your smartphone. Use the phone’s camera or the method offered by the on-screen instructions. Zeekr identifies the phone as the controller, so no additional controller needs to be paired.
- Accept the connection prompt. The phone should enter the AirConsole player lobby after you follow the displayed instructions.
- Choose a game on the large screen. AirConsole’s general session flow has the host select the game on the big display while the phone provides the controls.
- Invite additional players if wanted. Other passengers can use their own phones, scan the same displayed code or follow the session’s join instructions, and enter the same lobby.
AirConsole’s general help guidance also describes manual code entry in its phone app or phone browser. That is a general fallback route for AirConsole sessions; Zeekr has not confirmed that a manual-code option will be exposed in its car interface. Use it only if the in-car screen or phone explicitly offers it.

Set up a multiplayer session for passengers
The host’s job
The person who opens the session on the car’s screen becomes the practical host. That player selects a title, waits for the lobby to populate and starts the round from the large display. Because the catalogue and final Zeekr interface have not been published, button names may differ from AirConsole’s generic help pages.
Additional players
Each additional participant uses a separate phone. AirConsole’s general guidance says phones can join the lobby with the same connection code, and recommends that the phones and big screen share a Wi-Fi network. Passengers should complete pairing before the host starts the game so that nobody is trying to operate a phone while the vehicle is moving.
Phone preparation
- Charge the phone or connect it to a safe charging source before a long session.
- Disable settings that might close the browser or app in the background.
- Allow camera access if the phone asks for it when scanning the QR code.
- Keep the screen awake during play if the game requires touch controls.
- Use a passenger’s phone for control; the driver should not handle a phone or interact with the game while driving.
What is known about games and the catalogue
N-Dream identified PAC-MAN Championship Edition as the showcase game for its Paris demonstration. That confirms the title was used for the event, not that it will be the only launch game or that the complete post-rollout catalogue has been announced. Zeekr and N-Dream have not published a definitive list of games available in every country or on every supported model.

AirConsole is designed around games that use phones as controllers, so the experience is different from installing a conventional console game in the car. The infotainment display runs the visual game session while each phone supplies input. Availability, language, age ratings and any market-specific catalogue restrictions should be checked in the in-car application after activation.

That is the company’s own platform-reach figure, not an independently audited measurement, and it describes the wider AirConsole platform rather than proving that figure for Zeekr vehicles.
Safety: treat AirConsole as a parked or passenger activity
Zeekr’s announcement does not state whether its implementation automatically blocks games while the vehicle is moving, requires the vehicle to be parked or applies different rules to the driver and passengers. AirConsole’s general support information says access steps vary by vehicle, so a restriction documented for another automaker cannot be transferred to Zeekr.
The safe operating rule is straightforward: set up and play only while the vehicle is safely stopped, or let passengers use the system without distracting the driver. Never scan a QR code, hold a phone, select a game or watch the entertainment display while driving. Follow any warning, lockout or parked-state requirement shown by the vehicle, even if the generic AirConsole instructions appear to allow another action.
For charging, keep phones and cables away from pedals, steering controls and airbag deployment areas. If a passenger changes seats, pause the game and secure the phone before the vehicle moves.

Troubleshoot the common setup failures
| Symptom | Likely explanation | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No AirConsole icon | The staged update has not reached the car, or the model/country is not yet enabled. | Check software-update status and current local Zeekr support information. Do not assume the vehicle is permanently incompatible. |
| Connected Premium is unavailable | The package may not yet be offered for the vehicle or market. | Check the Zeekr app for local eligibility and pricing; ask support whether the service is enabled in your country. |
| QR code will not scan | The phone camera may be blocked, the code may be out of focus or the session may have expired. | Unlock the phone, allow camera access, increase distance slightly and refresh the AirConsole screen to generate a new code if the car offers that option. |
| Phone joins but controls do not respond | The phone may have lost its network connection or the lobby connection may not have completed. | Keep the phone and car on the recommended Wi-Fi connection, return to the lobby and reconnect using the current code. |
| Another player cannot join | They may be using an old code or a different network. | Have the player scan the currently displayed code and follow the join prompt again. AirConsole’s general guidance recommends the same Wi-Fi network for phones and the big screen. |
| Game is blocked while moving | The vehicle may enforce a safety lockout. | Do not attempt to bypass it. Play when parked or let passengers use the feature only when the car’s rules permit it. |
If reconnection fails, close and reopen AirConsole on the car’s display, then restart the phone’s AirConsole session. If the application remains missing or unusable after the update and subscription are confirmed, provide Zeekr support with the vehicle model, country, software version and the exact message shown on screen.
How the rollout evidence should affect your expectations
| Date | Announcement or event | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| October 12, 2026 | Zeekr partnership announcement | AirConsole is planned for selected European Zeekr models through an over-the-air update by the end of 2026; Connected Premium is required; a smartphone acts as controller and scans the QR code. |
| October 13, 2026 | N-Dream/AirConsole partnership announcement | The technology was demonstrated in a Zeekr 7GT at the Paris Motor Show, and N-Dream reported platform reach of more than 5 million vehicles worldwide. |
| End of 2026 target | Zeekr’s stated rollout window | A target for selected European vehicles, not a guaranteed activation date for every owner or country. |
The companies have not yet supplied the details that would turn the announcement into a universal compatibility chart: exact models, participating countries, minimum software builds, staged-release dates, local subscription prices and a definitive game list. Those details should be checked in the Zeekr app and local support materials as the rollout progresses.
Should you pay for Connected Premium just to get AirConsole?
Make the decision using the information that is actually available in your market, rather than a global price or a motor-show demonstration. Connected Premium is relevant only when all of the following are true:
- Your exact Zeekr model and country are confirmed for AirConsole.
- The AirConsole application has appeared, or Zeekr has explicitly told you when it will be enabled.
- You are comfortable with the annual subscription price and renewal terms shown in the Zeekr app.
- You already have a compatible smartphone available to act as the controller.
A new phone, dedicated gamepad or car accessory is not presented as necessary. Zeekr explicitly says no additional hardware is required, so buying equipment before the feature is enabled would add cost without solving an eligibility problem. If your only reason for subscribing is AirConsole, verify activation for your own vehicle first.

Keep the vehicle’s software current, monitor the Zeekr app for Connected Premium and feature availability, and check local support updates near the end-of-2026 target window. Avoid sideloading unofficial applications or trying to modify the infotainment system; neither the Zeekr announcement nor AirConsole’s general guidance establishes an approved workaround for unsupported cars.
If you attended the Paris demonstration or saw a 7GT running PAC-MAN Championship Edition, remember that the event showed a working concept rather than a promise that every displayed vehicle would receive the same software. The safest way to establish eligibility is a visible AirConsole entry or a direct confirmation tied to your vehicle and market.
The practical answer
When the rollout reaches your supported European Zeekr, activate or maintain the required Connected Premium subscription, open AirConsole on the infotainment display, scan its QR code with a smartphone, and join the player lobby. Select a game on the car’s screen; passengers can connect their own phones for multiplayer. Until Zeekr publishes the model list, country list and software requirements, an absent app means “not enabled yet or not confirmed,” not automatically “unsupported.” Set up and play only when safely parked or when passengers can use the system without distracting the driver.
