Plan around the date-specific ticket calendar and timed shows first. Pacific Science Center (PacSci) currently lists its hours as Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; the Denny Way entrance is closed, so use the North Entrance near the Armory and Mural Amphitheater. Check PacSci’s Visit page shortly before you go, since hours and access conditions can change.
Choose a date and book admission
PacSci uses plan-ahead pricing, so general-admission prices vary by date and can reflect demand, capacity, holidays, and events. Rather than rely on a fixed price, check the ticket calendar for your intended day. PacSci says that buying at least 24 hours ahead can save on admission.

Washington residents can select a general-admission discount, subject to restrictions, and must show proof of address at entry. Review the current terms during checkout and bring the required proof if you use the discount. The venue’s FAQ and Visit page describe timed show tickets differently: the current Visit page says they are free with admission, while the FAQ says additional timed tickets are needed. Follow the selected date’s checkout flow and reserve the show rather than assuming admission alone secures a seat. See the official FAQ for ticket details.

Reserve the experiences you care about most
General admission includes the campus and exhibits, plus daytime Planetarium and Laser Dome shows when you have the required timed reservation. Planetarium capacity is limited, and PacSci recommends booking in advance. IMAX movies are a separate purchase. Check the Today’s Schedule for showtimes, availability, and the visit-day lineup.

Leave room for hands-on exploring
Choose exhibits based on children’s interests and energy, then leave unbooked time for hands-on activities and breaks. The Tropical Butterfly House and Maker & Innovation Lab are examples of exhibits included with general admission; featured exhibits can change. The current exhibits listing names Mysteries From The Deep: Exploring Underwater Archaeology as opening October 2 and included in admission. The FAQ also names Artemis Adventure with LEGO Bricks. Check the exhibits page for what will actually be open on your date.
Pick how to get to Seattle Center
Transit
PacSci is next to Seattle Center. Its directions and parking page lists the Seattle Center Monorail from Westlake Center, Link light rail access via Westlake, and Metro bus routes serving the entrance. PacSci also describes a limited transit-fare offer tied to buying a ticket at least 24 hours before the visit. Check the page and your ticket checkout to see whether the offer and any codes are still available.

Driving and parking
Nearby Seattle Center garages are not managed by PacSci. Compare their current rates, hours, availability, and distance to the North Entrance before choosing one; PacSci names SpotHero as a parking reservation partner. Because garage conditions can change, check the operator’s information directly rather than relying on an old rate or access detail.

PacSci reports that the Claypool Memorial Garage elevator is currently out of service. If your party needs step-free access, check the latest garage status and consider the accessible drop-off along Sue Bird Court. Confirm the route and conditions with PacSci before travelling.

Plan for accessibility and sensory needs
PacSci’s accessibility page lists several resources families can arrange or use:
- Free wheelchairs are available from the Main Entry Information Desk on a first-come basis. A valid ID is held as a deposit; PacSci recommends requesting a wheelchair ahead during busy periods.
- An aide accompanying a guest with a disability receives complimentary admission.
- Service animals are welcome.
- Sensory resources include sensory-friendly hours, a Sensory Lounge, and kits with noise-cancelling headphones, earplugs, fidgets, sand timers, sunglasses, and activity books. Confirm sensory-friendly dates and contact Guest Services about individual access questions.
If a child prefers familiar sensory equipment, bringing personal noise-cancelling headphones is an option; PacSci also lists headphones among its kit contents, so buying equipment is not necessary.
