How to check for a pause or disable control

Sign in to your Sken.io account and open the existing monitoring job you want to suspend.

Inspect that job’s available controls for an option explicitly labeled to pause or disable it. The public job setup page describes job configuration, including monitoring mode and check frequency, but does not document a pause/resume control or its location.

If you find a clearly labeled control, read any confirmation or explanatory text before applying it. The available public instructions do not establish whether pausing preserves the schedule, check history, alerts, or snapshots, or whether checks continue to count toward usage.

If there is no clear control, contact Sken.io through its support/contact route and ask for the current steps and the effects on checks, saved settings, history, and alerts. Avoid deleting the job if your intention is only a temporary suspension.
What is documented—and what is not
Sken.io describes monitoring as scheduled page loads that compare a selected area and send an alert when it changes (Sken.io). Its job page documents setup fields such as monitoring mode and check frequency, not the effect of pausing an existing job. The tutorials index includes custom-scheduling and job-change topics, but does not provide written pause/resume steps.

The service’s API announcement describes API areas for jobs, checks, and job settings, but does not identify a pause/resume operation (Sken.io API announcement, September 5, 2026). That announcement alone is not enough to conclude that an API pause action exists; verify against the current endpoint reference or ask Sken.io before automating changes.

Do not treat schedule changes as a confirmed pause
Sken.io lets users configure check frequency for a monitoring job, but the public setup information does not say that changing frequency stops checks, preserves the original schedule for restoration, or maintains history and alert behavior. Do not use schedule edits as a pause workaround unless Sken.io confirms their consequences for your account.
