Pair the Wolverine Limited Edition DualSense exactly like a standard DualSense wireless controller: turn on the PS5, connect the controller with a USB cable, and press the controller’s PS button. Once the light bar blinks and the player indicator lights up, the controller is connected. If it has enough charge, disconnect the cable and continue wirelessly.
Which Wolverine DualSense do you have?
Sony has released more than one Wolverine-themed DualSense design. The Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition DualSense and the Battle Yellow Limited Edition DualSense are distinct designs, but both are DualSense controllers compatible with PS5. The themed finish does not change the console-pairing procedure.

What you need before pairing
- A PS5 console that is turned on.
- The Wolverine Limited Edition DualSense controller.
- A USB cable for connecting the controller to the console.
Sony’s documented first-time setup uses a wired USB connection. The controller does not require a special Wolverine-specific accessory for this process.

Pair the controller with your PS5 for the first time
- Turn on the PS5. Wait until the console has started.
- Connect the controller to the PS5 with a USB cable. Plug one end into the console and the other into the controller.
- Press the PS button. If the controller is off, pressing this button starts the pairing process.
- Watch the controller indicators. The light bar blinks while the connection is being made, and the player indicator lights up when the controller connects.
- Remove the USB cable if the controller has enough battery charge. You can then use the controller wirelessly.
How to confirm that pairing worked
The stated connection feedback is visual:
- The light bar blinks during the connection process.
- The player indicator illuminates after the controller connects.
After those indicators appear, the controller is paired with that PS5 and can be used without the USB cable when it has sufficient charge.
Pair the Wolverine DualSense with a different PS5
A DualSense controller can pair with only one PS5 console at a time. If the Wolverine controller was previously paired with another PS5, repeat the same USB-and-PS-button procedure on the console you want to use:

- Turn on the PS5 you want to use.
- Connect the controller to that console with a USB cable.
- Press the PS button.
- Wait for the light bar to blink and the player indicator to light up.
- Disconnect the cable if the controller has enough charge and use it wirelessly.
Pairing it with the new console is therefore a fresh pairing operation rather than a special transfer mode. The controller’s one-PS5-at-a-time limitation is why the process must be repeated when you switch consoles.

- Confirm that the PS5 is turned on.
- Confirm that the controller is connected to the PS5 with a USB cable.
- Press the controller’s PS button after making the connection.
- Wait for the blinking light bar and illuminated player indicator.
- If the controller was last used with another PS5, repeat the complete pairing process on the console you want to use.
Sony’s pairing guidance establishes these steps and the indicator behavior, but it does not provide a more detailed failure-recovery flow in the reviewed instructions. Do not assume that the Wolverine design needs a different reset procedure or a special cable specification.

No. Sony identifies the Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition DualSense as compatible with PS5, and the Battle Yellow Limited Edition DualSense is another Wolverine-themed DualSense design. The relevant setup instructions are the normal DualSense instructions because the controller communicates with the PS5 as a DualSense wireless controller.
