To pair Sony WH-CH730N headphones, keep the headset and source device within about 1 m (3.2 ft), charge the headset, and select WH-CH730N series in the source device’s Bluetooth menu. When pairing a second or later device, press and hold the headphones’ power button for about five seconds until the indicator repeatedly flashes blue twice and voice guidance says “Pairing.” If a passkey is requested, enter 0000. Pairing mode ends after five minutes if no connection is completed.
What you need before pairing
Pairing is the process of registering the WH-CH730N with a phone, computer, television, or another Bluetooth source so the two devices can connect wirelessly later. Sony’s help guide describes pairing as “the operating procedure to register the device that you wish to connect to.”

What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Charged headphones: a very low battery can interrupt discovery or connection.
- A compatible source: an iPhone, Android phone, Windows laptop with Bluetooth, or TV that supports Bluetooth audio output.
- Short distance: place the headphones and source within about 1 m (3.2 ft) during setup.
- A few minutes without interruption: pairing mode automatically cancels after five minutes.
The first time the headphones are turned on after purchase, they normally enter pairing mode automatically. For a second or later device, you must start pairing mode manually.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
How to put WH-CH730N in pairing mode
First device after purchase
Turn on the headphones. After the initial startup, they enter pairing mode automatically. The indicator flashes blue twice repeatedly, and voice guidance announces “Pairing.” Open the source device’s Bluetooth settings while this announcement and indicator pattern are active.
Second or later device
- Turn on the WH-CH730N.
- Press and hold the power button for about five seconds or more.
- Release the button when the indicator flashes blue twice repeatedly and the headphones announce “Pairing.”
- On the source device, select WH-CH730N series.
Holding the button only until the headphones power on is not enough for a new device; continue holding it until pairing mode is announced. If you wait longer than five minutes without completing the connection, repeat these steps.
Pairing with an iPhone
Use the iPhone’s standard Bluetooth settings. The labels below apply to current iOS menus; keep the iPhone unlocked while you work.
- Unlock the iPhone.
- Open Settings > Bluetooth.
- Turn Bluetooth on.
- Put the WH-CH730N into pairing mode. For a second or later device, hold the headphones’ power button for about five seconds until “Pairing” is announced.
- Under the list of available devices, tap WH-CH730N series.
- If iOS asks for a passkey, type 0000.
- Wait for the connection notification and for the headset to appear as connected.
If the name does not appear, leave the Bluetooth page open while repeating pairing mode. Keep the devices within 1 m and check that the headset is not immediately reconnecting to another nearby device.
Pairing with an Android phone
Android menu names vary by manufacturer and Android version, but the Bluetooth controls are generally under device-connection settings.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
- Unlock the phone.
- Open Settings > Device connection > Bluetooth. On some phones the equivalent page is called Connected devices or simply Bluetooth.
- Turn Bluetooth on and stay on the screen that lists available devices.
- Put the WH-CH730N into pairing mode, using the five-second power-button hold when pairing a second or later device.
- Tap WH-CH730N series when it appears.
- Accept the pairing request. If a passkey field appears, enter 0000.
Choose the correct Android entry
Some Android phones display two names: WH-CH730N series and LE_WH-CH730N series. Select WH-CH730N series for the normal headphone connection. The entry beginning with “LE_” is not the selection Sony specifies for ordinary audio pairing.
Pairing with a Windows 11 laptop
The laptop must include Bluetooth hardware, and its Bluetooth implementation must support the audio profiles needed for your use. Music playback requires the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). Calling applications require a hands-free profile such as HFP or HSP.
- Put the WH-CH730N into pairing mode. Hold the power button for about five seconds if it has already been paired with another device.
- On the laptop, open Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
- Select Add device > Bluetooth.
- Wait for the list to populate, then choose WH-CH730N series.
- Enter 0000 if Windows requests a PIN or passkey.
- After Windows reports that the device is connected, choose the headphones as the output and, when needed, the input device in the application’s audio settings.
Music and calls use different Bluetooth profiles
A laptop can show the headset as connected while an application still uses its built-in speakers or microphone. For music, select the WH-CH730N playback device associated with A2DP. For a meeting or voice call, select the WH-CH730N hands-free input and output option if the application offers separate profile choices. Switching to a calling profile can change audio behavior because the computer is handling both microphone and headphone audio.
Pairing with a Bluetooth-capable TV
A television can pair directly only when it supports Bluetooth audio output. Bluetooth on a TV may be limited to remotes, keyboards, or other accessories, so the presence of a Bluetooth menu alone does not guarantee headphone support.
- Put the WH-CH730N into pairing mode. If it was previously paired, hold the power button for about five seconds until “Pairing” is announced.
- Open the TV’s Bluetooth device list or audio-output settings.
- Start the TV’s search for nearby Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
- Select WH-CH730N series.
- Confirm the connection and change the TV’s audio output to the Bluetooth headset if the TV does not switch automatically.
TV menu names differ by manufacturer and model. Look for settings such as Bluetooth audio, wireless speaker, sound output, or audio device list. If no Bluetooth-audio option exists, consult the television’s manual. A separate Bluetooth audio transmitter may be required for a TV that has no compatible Bluetooth output; transmitter compatibility and TV support depend on the specific equipment.

What to do when WH-CH730N does not appear
Work through the checks in this order. Each one addresses a common reason the headset is absent from the discovery list.
Recommended Free Tools
1. Confirm distance and battery
Place the headphones beside the source, no more than about 1 m away, and make sure they have charge. Move away from crowded wireless areas or metal obstructions while pairing.
2. Start manual pairing mode again
For any device after the first, press and hold the power button for about five seconds or more. Wait for the repeated double-blue flashes and the “Pairing” announcement. Simply turning the headset on normally may reconnect it instead of making it discoverable.
3. Beat the five-minute timeout
Pairing mode is canceled after five minutes when no connection is completed. If the source has not found the headset by then, turn the headset off or restart the pairing procedure and search again immediately.
4. Stop an automatic reconnection elsewhere
The WH-CH730N can reconnect automatically to a previously used device nearby. Turn Bluetooth off on the last-connected phone or computer, or move that device away temporarily. Then put the headset back into pairing mode and search from the intended source.

5. Remove the old record and pair again
On the source device, open its saved Bluetooth devices, select the WH-CH730N entry, and choose Forget, Remove, or Unpair. Return to the available-device list, start pairing mode again, and select the regular WH-CH730N entry.
6. Avoid the LE listing
If the source shows both names, choose WH-CH730N series, not LE_WH-CH730N series. Choosing the wrong listing can prevent the normal audio connection from completing.
Pairing versus reconnecting
Pairing registers a source device for the first time. Once registration is complete, future use normally requires only turning on the headphones and selecting them from the source’s saved Bluetooth devices. If the headset was manually connected to a different source, automatic reconnection may go to that most recently used device instead.
If a familiar phone or laptop does not reconnect, open its Bluetooth settings and tap the saved WH-CH730N series entry. If it is missing, treat the situation as a new pairing and use the five-second power-button procedure.

How many devices can the WH-CH730N remember?
Sony states that the headset can store pairing information for up to eight devices. Pairing a ninth device replaces the record with the oldest pairing date and time. That does not mean the headset can play audio from all eight simultaneously: music playback comes from only one paired device at a time.

Passkey, indicator, and device-name meanings
Passkey 0000
If the phone, computer, or TV asks for a Bluetooth passkey, enter 0000. Many modern systems complete pairing without displaying a passkey prompt, so do not enter one unless the source requests it.
Blue indicator flashes twice repeatedly
This pattern identifies pairing mode when it repeats after the power button has been held for the required time. Use the source device’s Bluetooth search while the pattern is active.
“WH-CH730N series” versus “LE_WH-CH730N series”
The regular WH-CH730N series name is the selection for the standard headphone audio connection. On Android devices that expose both names, do not choose the LE-prefixed listing for this setup.
Common pairing situations and the right response
The headphones work with a phone but not a laptop
Check that the laptop actually has Bluetooth and that its drivers are enabled. In Windows 11, the Add device wizard should offer Bluetooth as a device type. After pairing, verify that the calling or music application is using the appropriate WH-CH730N playback and, if needed, microphone profile.
The TV finds the headset but no sound comes through
Confirm that the TV supports Bluetooth audio output and that its sound-output setting is switched to the connected headset. Some televisions keep their internal speakers selected even after a Bluetooth connection succeeds.
The headset appears briefly and disappears
Pair again within the five-minute window, keep the source close, and disable Bluetooth on a nearby device that may be taking the automatic reconnection. If the saved record is corrupted, remove the old WH-CH730N entry and repeat setup.
The source asks for a PIN repeatedly
Use 0000. If the prompt returns, cancel the attempt, remove the existing WH-CH730N record from the source, restart pairing mode, and try once more.
