To pair boAt Rockerz 421 Gen 2 headphones, first put them into Bluetooth pairing mode using the Gen 2 user guide. Then open Bluetooth settings on your phone, laptop, or TV, scan for nearby devices, and select the headphone entry when it appears. Before pairing, check that you have the Gen 2 model
Read the label on the headphones or packaging and confirm it says “Rockerz 421 Gen 2.” boAt lists the original “Rockerz 421” separately from the Gen 2. Put the headphones in pairing mode
- Find the pairing instructions in the Rockerz 421 Gen 2 user guide included with the headphones, or open the guide linked from boAt’s Gen 2 product page.
- Follow the guide’s directions to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Once pairing mode is active, use the Bluetooth settings on the device you want to connect and select the headphone name when it appears.
The product-page information does not confirm a button-hold duration, pairing timeout, passcode, or LED pattern for the Gen 2. The original Rockerz 421 support instructions are for a different listed model, so they are not a substitute for the Gen 2 guide.

Pair with a phone
- Open your phone’s Settings and go to Bluetooth. Menu wording varies by phone and operating system.
- Turn Bluetooth on and wait for the available-device list.
- Tap the Rockerz 421 Gen 2 entry when it appears, then check the Bluetooth screen to confirm the phone reports it as connected.
Pair with a laptop
- Open the laptop’s Bluetooth settings and choose its option to add or pair a device.
- With the headphones in pairing mode, select their name from the discovered-device list.
- Check the Bluetooth settings to confirm the connection.
If the laptop does not have Bluetooth, check its documentation for compatible audio adapters.
Pair with a TV
- Open the TV’s Bluetooth or audio-output settings and start the option to add a Bluetooth audio device.
- Put the headphones in pairing mode using the Gen 2 guide.
- Select the headphone entry if the TV lists it, then check the TV’s audio output settings.
TV menus and Bluetooth headphone support vary. Consult the TV manual to confirm that it supports Bluetooth audio output; Bluetooth capability for other functions does not by itself establish headphone support.

If the headphones do not appear in Bluetooth
- Check pairing mode first. Follow the Gen 2 guide’s instructions, then scan again from the phone, laptop, or TV.
- Check for a connection to another device. Disconnect the headphones from a device they have already connected to, or turn Bluetooth off on that earlier device while pairing to the new one.
- Clear an old device entry if needed. On the target device, remove or forget a stale Rockerz entry and try pairing again.
- Use the Gen 2 guide for clearing or resetting. The exact Gen 2 paired-device clearing and reset controls are not specified in the product-page information. Do not try a button combination taken from the original Rockerz 421 instructions.
Bluetooth or the included AUX cable?
boAt lists Bluetooth v5.4 and an AUX cable in the Rockerz 421 Gen 2 box. Use Bluetooth when the source device supports Bluetooth audio and you want a wireless connection. The included AUX cable is a wired-audio alternative; check the source device for a compatible audio connection. The listing also includes a Type-C charging cable and a user guide. boAt’s Gen 2 listing describes the product’s included items and specifications.
What boAt’s specifications do—and do not—tell you
BoAt lists Bluetooth v5.4 for the Gen 2, but that specification does not establish the exact button sequence, light pattern, reset steps, or whether a particular TV supports Bluetooth headphone output. The same listing claims up to 60 hours of playback at 60% volume; that is a manufacturer-stated maximum under the stated volume condition, not a guaranteed duration or an independent test result. It also lists 50 mm × 2 drivers and BEAST Mode with stated 40 ms low latency. Those specifications do not change the pairing steps.
