Put your headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode, turn on Bluetooth on the device you want to use, and choose the headphones from its device list. The exact button or gesture for pairing mode depends on the headphone model. TVs can have additional compatibility limits, so check the television’s manual if its Bluetooth audio controls are missing.
Before you start
- Charge the headphones and keep them near the phone, laptop, or TV.
- Use the headphone maker’s instructions to enter pairing or discoverable mode. The control varies by model.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the device you want to connect to. If the headphones reconnect to another device, temporarily disconnect that device or turn off its Bluetooth while pairing.
Pair headphones with an iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.
- Put the headphones into pairing mode using the manufacturer’s instructions.
- When the headphones appear in the device list, tap their name. Enter a PIN or passcode only if prompted.
To pair them again later, select them from Bluetooth settings. If the saved pairing is not working, you can forget the device in Bluetooth settings and pair it again. Apple’s instructions for connecting a Bluetooth accessory cover the iPhone and iPad steps.

Pair headphones with an Android phone
- Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch and hold Bluetooth.
- Tap Pair new device. If that option is not shown, check Available devices or tap More > Refresh.
- Put the headphones into pairing mode, then tap their name when it appears. Follow any on-screen prompts.
Previously paired headphones remain saved until you unpair them. If they are disconnected, look under Saved devices to select them again. Menu labels can vary by Android device. See Google’s Android Bluetooth pairing instructions.
Pair headphones with a Windows laptop
Make sure Bluetooth is available and turned on, then put the headphones into pairing mode. The menu path depends on your Windows version.

Windows 11
- Open the taskbar quick settings.
- Select the chevron next to Bluetooth to open the Bluetooth devices list.
- Under New devices, choose your headphones and follow any prompts.
Windows 10
- Open Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.
- Choose your headphones from the list and follow any prompts.
When Bluetooth is on and a paired device is in range, Windows can reconnect to it automatically. Microsoft ended Windows 10 support on October 14, 2025. For the pairing paths, see Microsoft’s Windows Bluetooth pairing guide.
Pair headphones with a Mac
Put the headphones into pairing mode, open Bluetooth settings on the Mac, and select the headphones when they appear. The precise menu names and path depend on the macOS version; check Apple’s current Mac instructions for your version rather than relying on older menu labels. Apple’s Beats Solo3 pairing guide gives a product-specific example of selecting discoverable headphones in Bluetooth settings.

Pair headphones with a TV
First confirm that the TV supports Bluetooth audio. The menus and supported devices vary by model; the following route is for Samsung TVs and may not apply to other brands.

Samsung TV
- Put the headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Open the TV’s Bluetooth audio device list. On many models, the route is Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List. Older models may use Wireless Speaker Manager or another menu.
- Select the headphones when they appear. If the list is missing, check the TV’s manual to confirm whether that model supports Bluetooth audio.
Samsung notes that some headphones designed exclusively for mobile devices may not pair with its TVs. Its guidance also identifies lip-sync errors and disconnections related to distance as possible issues. These cautions are specific to Samsung’s guidance, not a guarantee about every television. If the TV has no Bluetooth audio
If the TV does not support Bluetooth audio, a compatible Bluetooth audio adapter may work when connected to an available 3.5 mm or left/right AUX audio output. Match the adapter’s input and function to the TV’s actual ports; compatibility depends on the TV and adapter. Samsung describes this option in its TV headphone pairing guidance.

Headphones do not appear in the device list
- Check that Bluetooth is on at the phone, laptop, or TV.
- Put the headphones into their model-specific pairing mode; being powered on is not always the same as being discoverable.
- Move the headphones closer and check that they have charge.
- If they are already connected to another device, disconnect that device or turn its Bluetooth off temporarily, then search again.
Headphones appear but will not connect
- Move them closer to the device and check their battery.
- On Windows, remove the headphones from the Bluetooth device list, then add and pair them again.

TV audio is delayed or cuts out
For a Samsung TV, reduce the distance between the headphones and TV if the connection drops. Samsung also notes that lip-sync errors can occur; check the documentation for the specific TV and headphones for model-specific guidance.
