Organize Hindi songs in a backed-up, metadata-checked library, then build your broadcast queue only from tracks cleared for live use. A tidy folder helps you find and sequence music; it does not grant broadcast rights or prevent YouTube from interrupting a stream.
Start with a safe, reviewable music library
Keep an untouched copy of your collection and make changes in a separate working copy. MusicBrainz Picard’s v2.7 documentation recommends backing up first and initially processing a copy of the files. Check that the backup is usable before bulk retagging or renaming.

Group files in a way that makes sense for your rotation: identified albums, singles, compilations, devotional collections, regional collections, and tracks that still need identification can have separate folders. Keeping Hindi and other language collections apart may also make it easier to manage a broadcast queue. This is an organizational choice, not a YouTube requirement or a prescribed Hindi-music taxonomy.

MusicBrainz Picard’s Quick Start describes clustering files, looking up releases, comparing proposed metadata with existing values, correcting uncertain matches, and saving after review. Treat a database match as a lead, not proof: check unfamiliar or low-confidence matches against the actual recording and release before applying them.

Normalize metadata before choosing filenames
Check these fields where they are known and verifiable:
- Track title and artist
- Album artist and album or release
- Track number
- Year
- Useful distinctions such as singer, composer, film or album, and version
For film songs, devotional music, and compilations, preserve distinctions that help you identify the recording. Do not fill uncertain fields with guesses merely to make the tags look complete. Picard’s file-naming rules can use metadata to move and rename files, but changing a filename pattern does not necessarily update the embedded audio tags. Inspect both.
Use a predictable folder and filename pattern
A practical starting structure is:
Hindi / Album Artist / Year - Album / Track Number - Title.ext

For example, padded track numbers such as 01 and 02 keep an ordinary alphabetical listing in album order. For loose tracks, a separate pattern such as Hindi / Singles / Artist / Title.ext keeps singles easy to find. These are workflow conventions, not requirements imposed by YouTube.
In Picard, configure file and directory naming under its file-naming options. The documentation allows separate choices for moving and renaming files; configure both consistently if you want both operations to use the same pattern. Review overwrite-protection settings before a bulk operation, and check the resulting paths as well as the embedded tags. See Picard’s File Naming Options.
Test the rules before reorganizing the whole collection
- Choose a small sample: a standard album, a compilation, a single, and a track with incomplete tags.
- Run the metadata lookup and inspect proposed values. Correct uncertain matches before saving.
- Apply the naming rule to the sample copy. Confirm that titles are readable, track order is correct, and no file was unexpectedly overwritten.
- Open or play the reorganized files using the software or encoder workflow you intend to use. Confirm it can find the files and read the formats you chose.
- Only after the sample passes should you apply the settings to the rest of the working copy. Keep the untouched source and backup until the new library has been checked.
Picard documents format and storage considerations, including that slow storage can affect performance. Check that your playback setup supports the chosen formats and that the files are stored where it can reliably access them. Details are in Picard’s File Formats documentation.

Clear rights before building the live queue
Keep a separate playlist or queue of tracks whose intended live use has been cleared. A simple rights log can record the track, source, permission or license evidence, territories, duration, and any attribution requirement. This record is an organizational aid; YouTube does not prescribe this particular log format.

A track described as “free” is not automatically safe: YouTube warns that Content ID can still flag it. Read YouTube’s guidance on finding safe music and check the terms for the specific recording and intended use.
YouTube’s Audio Library, available through YouTube Studio, offers music and sound effects that YouTube identifies as copyright-safe. Check each track’s current license. For an Audio Library track under a Creative Commons license, YouTube says attribution must be included in the video description; the library marks tracks whose standard license does not require attribution. YouTube’s assurance applies to Audio Library tracks it knows about, not music from other libraries or channels. See YouTube’s Audio Library guidance.

Live streams are scanned for third-party content. If detected content remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. Even a license may not prevent interruption: YouTube advises licensed users to ask the content owner to add their channel to the Content ID allowlist. Confirm this with the relevant owner before broadcasting. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Organizing files and delivering a live feed are separate jobs. The YouTube Live Streaming API describes broadcasts, streams that carry the audio-video feed, and scheduling. YouTube’s HLS guidance describes a particular ingestion workflow involving ordered media playlists and segments, HTTPS transport, muxed audio and video, supported codecs, and redundant ingestion. It is written for encoder vendors; those requirements are not a local music-folder layout and may not apply to a workflow using a different ingestion protocol. Neither a well-organized library nor an encoder configuration guarantees 24/7 uptime. Continuous operation is an operational goal that calls for monitoring and a recovery plan. Technical delivery cannot establish music rights or prevent a rights-related interruption.
